If I'm remembering correctly the Fusiliers were basically Germany going, "what if we took a recon unit and give it the size and fire-power of a normal infantry squad?" So you'll basically have a late-war rifle squad that has the line of sight of a recon squad, which could be fairly OP if that's how they play in game.
Sucks they got rid of the Zeltbahns the Brandenburgers had before the big update. It was the most common issued camo garment of the war. One of the 1944 grenadier squads definitely should have had them with a mix of Sumpfmuster smocks.
Great video! It's good to see these squads added to Conquest, adds a lot of variability and thematic options in army compositions. BTW, Gebirgsjäger is pronounced geh-beergs-yay-guh. Love the vids!
Small note, I think when you were adding stuff up on the motorized and armoured units you were adding +1 or 2 to them since the driver (and also gunner for the halftracks) is the people with plain rifles inbetween the vehicle and Squadleader, not in the actual vehicle :P But I seriously can't wait to use these units when my game updates!

Edit: I would always play with the "improved squads" mod till the author stopped updating it. Without this update, the infantry simply wasn't worth it over any of the tanks, especially for the German tech tree.
I’m so glad this update came even the fins got some love to. There Veteran Jager Squad [Late] has got some of the best stats out of any squad in the game. 375 HP, 360 Stamina, Lvl 6 weapon skill
The Americans have been knocked off of first place when it comes to infantry now it looks like. Which is a shame, because that's the one thing they really had going for them. Germany too OP.
@@Daniel_Temo Wouldn’t say their artillery is so much better that it’s really notable, and yes, US tanks are balanced. German tanks are straight up broken.
@@Chadolf-Sigler The Americans have a howitzer called the 155mm Schneider which nearly never misses, but it eats ammo like crazy. It’s a infantry obliterator and tank destroyer if you land the shot which is near 100% if they’re either light on armor or close enough to volley fire. All German artillery is pretty ammo eating as well, and is not that accurate really unlike some Soviet and most American artillery. But they do have rockets going for them I guess

Old Motorized Fallschirmjäger squad costs 490 mp and 28 popcap, it is still around, I think, I saw it in the research tree and under the reinforcements selection. Old M. FSJ squad has iirc 2 mgs, 2 mps, 1 sniper, 1 fg42 and 1 semi automatic rifle, plus a bunch of k98s. At a price of 490 mp and 28 popcap, then surely those k98s would have to be replaced with something else, in order for that squad to stay competitive with the new squads?

They have,but in very few numbers,FG-42 were quite rare to see like 7k were made,so don´t expect the dev´s do a full or half FG-42 equipped unit of fallschirmjägers;also the FG-42 are more like an automatic rifle like the BAR and were used as lmg´s,make more sense the dev´s portayed the FG-42 in the way they actually do,if they do an assualt aquad variant of Fallschirmjägers in a future i´m sure they fit them with a lot of Stg 44´s and MP-40 instead of FG-42s
@@SirJellyBean i never see in a battle more than 2 Marder K and never i see a pz II J for example,so this kind of rare vehicule are use in battle but u never see a lot of them like the shermans ,panzer IV,V,VI or t34s.

I’m be honest a little disappointed in this update for conquest these should have been there from the start and plenty of mods already added these units. If not adjacent units. Conquest needs some deep love not just new units and a new lock ui

It makes infantry far more competent now also the variation gives some great ability to rile play different styles of army .

US have some of the best artillery though, same with pretty well balanced late game tanks.

Pop cap and mp cost has been reduced for all infantry i think, at the very least the pop cap of all squads is a lot lower.
