Fuck the algorithm. I rarely see Deathwishinc in my feed these days. I got elated when I saw this pop up. This is so great. Reminds me of a bygone era of music in a good way.
If I'm correct you were around in a great era for Music,, Orchid, Book of Dead Names, Botch, Das Oath, Bleeding Kansas, CONVERGE, and on ... Cheers from Orange County California...
@@ShanevsDCsniperr it's the tremolo/blast beats combo. Black metal did it first in the 80s and skramz bands started doing that as well in the late 90s (it was quite rare, but it was a thing in orchid or jeromes dream for ex) In this case their guitar effects sound so similar to post-black/blackgaze bands like Deafheaven and Liturgy. The influence is undeniable
Although I have no idea why it happened, maybe just some revenge skeem against the At the time modern Hardcore scene,, the Tag ScreamO was what we called the wannabe Topic bands, and the so called scene kids, never seen at shows.. @@AtZero138 Bruh no one on earth is calling NAILS "screamo" or BOTCH or most of those bands. Normative cardboard ass people call all heavy music "hardcore" or "screamo." I hate screamo and I like this band and they are in fact a screamo/skramz band, I'm old but you sound ancient bruh don't forget to take your multi-vitamin.
This band's music feels like it was made for me. Drummer is out of space, vocals feels like og emo, bass and guitar switches from chaos to total soothing melodies... man i'm in love. Thank you guys.
I just realised with what's available on youtube from this band, this is yall's first release in a few years. I am incredibly grateful for coming across your band and i really hope you guys stick around. You three are beautiful people who make beautiful music. It's real. I heard the album 4 or 5 times today at work and it's helped me with some heavy grief I've been feeling for my best friend who passed away back in september from an H overdose. Grief works in very strange ways. For weeks you'll think your doing great and have it all under control and then suddenly it smacks you in the face and you can't function because a part of you is missing. Your band has helped me process some of these emotions in the best way. Maybe i am rambling at this point but, I resonate deeply with your music and again, im so happy i discovered you guys. Keep doing what you do ❤
Normally, I wouldn't touch this genre of music with a barge pole, thinking it's a cacophony of mishmash. But this-for some strange reason, I find Refrain not only listenable, but, dare I say, soothing.
Perhaps I could recommend state faults, for something in this vein. They also released an album this year, and it's got a lot of praise. It's a much "cleaner" sounding album, with a lot of emotion nonetheless. If you feel with the heavier stuff, perhaps check out their other album, Clairvoyant
Man these dudes fucking rip!! So stoked for this new album. I remember blasting a brief memoriam daily when my grandmother passed and the music helped a lot during those tough times. Anyways can't wait for the album

Loving the black metal vibes.
i feel like i can never hear any bm influence in bands people say this about
@ShanevsDCsniperr Screamo always had a link to DSBM with post hardcore influences stuff, like Lifelover. But it's general to Screamo...

Incredible track. AOTY level record incoming.
First time listener. Straight up blown away!!! Triple bookmarked my calendar for March 29th when the album drops

This and Infant Island, good stuff! Love the lyrics here too!
Seen them twice, they rip it up every time. One of the best hardcore bands around

My little beans 🫘
Im ready to be broken and emotionally distraught once again in March.

Just saw yall last night at Gabe’s. You guys blew everyone away! Hope we get some sax on the new record!
Yay!!! New Frail Body day!
Majestic. I wish Frail Body was real
Intro sounds like Moon Sign Gemini by State Faults. Solid
If Beau Navire recruited the drummer of Necrophagist
