My friends and I load up the S-35 Beechcraft Bonanza and fly from Bend, Oregon to Independence (7S5) to visit early adopter and builder, Kip. He's an A&P IA so I was eager to pick his brain about certain aspects of the build. We get that and a whole lot more. Kip offers his opinion on the airplane's performance and build experience including the installation and performance of Vortex Generators, engine cooling enhancements, his constant speed propeller, Titan IO-340 engine, etc.

Always very well done…. Inspiring…. And I love the aspect of experimental aircraft that let’s you brainstorm, learn from others and modify and improve your build.

Great video. S-21 is such a great homebuilt choice. And flying over Sisters into Independence brought back memories of when I hiked through their on the Pacific Crest Trail. Gorgeous area.

Sweet view of the mountain! It’s interesting that his stall speed is that low. My empty weight is 995 and with 15 gal of fuel my indicated stall speed power on is 40 “kts” 41ish power off so I find it hard to believe that Rans claim of 35 “mph” is accurate.

Lame that he didn't let you jump up and down on the ends of the wings, otherwise cool dude.
