    Fun fact: there was actually a real-life case of an innocent man who was charged with murder, who was in fact at a Dodgers' game at the time the crime was committed. What saved him was the fact that the show Curb Your Enthusiasm happened to be filming at the game at the time, and one of the shots from the show's extra footage shows him in the background. Without that, he may have been sent to death row.

      Oops, posted above before I saw this post. Indeed, I thought that's where this video was going when he mentioned the Dodger game, only instead of an episode of Curb, it was an episode of Dhar Mann. And yes, several Dhar Mann videos have gone that meta in which characters acknowledge the existence of Dhar Mann videos.

    • @LizH267
      @LizH267 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Yes I remember that story as well and watched the documentary. I believe that in the real story, the charges were just dropped and did not go to trial. Also, I have heard stories before where the prosecutors have said things like "I can tell he's guilty just by looking at him" so it does happen

    • @angiadcock8196
      @angiadcock8196 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Yes. I was thinking about this case too. Except as usual Dhar Man is completely incompetent at writing because in the real life case it made sense that they needed the footage because the man lived in Los Angeles and the crime was committed there. So just him being in the city wasn’t enough to alibi him he had to prove he was at the game physically sitting in that seat. Whereas here his alibi was he was in a whole ass other city and there are many ways to prove that you were traveling at the time of the crime other than accidental tv footage.

      @MA I appreciate your perspective, and you might be right. Personally though, I don't think he's actually a racist or anything. He definitely does play with stereotypes though. I just think he doesn't really give a damn, which is why he puts so little thought into these stories. And that's really my gripe with him, if he actually cares about these issues, he would have put actual effort into these stories.

    • @jakublizon6375

      @MA Good points. It sounds like you've seen a lot more of his videos than I did. But I gotta say, I know exactly what you're talking about with the "he/she might be rich" lessons, and I completely agree. Like wtf kind of lesson is that? That treating poor people like garbage is okay, as long as they're actually poor?
      I also hate how he always inserts his name into the dialogue to make himself look good...
      "Dhar Mann is my favorite! Did you know that he gives all his money to the homeless. Who could ever not like him, all he does is spread love and joy to the world!"
      That type of stuff, and as I'm sure you know, I am in absolutely no way exaggerating. it's all so gross. There's a reason his videos target kids, they're easier to BS and fool than grown adults. Kids are easy money to Mann. What makes it even worse is that hes "teaching" terrible lessons, lessons no sane person would want their kids to learn.

By "realistic", I don't mean your average, everyday case, but one that could generate headlines but could plausibly happen. And of course you would cut out all the boring parts that aren't strictly necessary and compress the events into whatever length is appropriate. By "as accurate as possible", I don't mean literally as realistic as humanly possible to everyday life, I mean one that doesn't violate established courtroom laws and procedures without acknowledging the unusualness and making it part of the story, that kind of idea.

    This is legit from a Documentary on Netflix, how this guy was at a baseball game while a crime happened near by & they so happened to be filming an episode of Seinfeld or something & they actually caught him on camera & it proved he wasn’t guilty. That was a Better Call Saul lawyer & I loved it. The logic here… Seeing how flustered Devin gets is so amazing to watch. Everyone makes fun of this dudes videos, but somehow watching Devin freak out to this extent just makes me laugh. They BROKE him in 30 seconds- I love it & totally here for it.
    The fact he just gave up at the end & was like “You know what? Whatever, let’s just go with it at this point” has me dying.

      true fact, It's not too late to come to Jesus and get saved. in His great power He had salvation planned for us before He created all things. God came as Jesus in the flesh to go and pay our sin debt on the cross, He sufferd for us, He was beaten, cursed at, mocked at, and Insulted it! He took our punishment our sins to the cross, He had no sin in Him for He was sinless. He was treated like a criminal, He could've called His Holy angels down to get them but in His mercy He didn't. His love for us kept Him there on the cross. if He didn't go to the cross for us then we all would be in hell, only true love would that and that true love is Jesus. Jesus died and paid our sin debt in full ( Isaiah 53:7, John 19:30). He paved the only way that we can be saved which is by and through Him alone ( John 14:6). then God the Father rose Jesus on the third day with glory and power and triumph and He ( in His Omnipotence) conquered hell and sin and death and even broke down the wall that separated us from Him so we can come to Him and be saved and have a relationship with Him. believe in God and repent of your sins and God will forgive of all your sins and He will cleanse you of your sins your unrighteousness and past and then He will make you born again by His Holy Spirit ( John 3:3-18). God bless
