    Got my tuner in the mail today. I must say programming is the most overwhelming part of a automotive build to me. I have so much more to learn 😬 Hats off to you tech guys for your guidence.

      @@Anthony-kd5ku Small adjustments. Iam currently working on a 86 fiero with a 2008 3800 turbo engine. Also a turbo chevy sonic. Soo much to learn and so little of summer months lol. Hope you figure it out, join a few forums and soak all the info you can. So many people are willing to help.

      Yep got my brain running in overdrive, until I started to play and understand what I'm looking at. With that said think I need to bring back the good old carburetor days on my 09 silverado, put big cam in truck 👍 need more fuel no problem put larger jets in with a screwdriver, done. Need more air put on bigger carb, done. Pull out screw driver to adjust power valve, done. 😎👍 now it's like 🧑‍💻🤔😥🦧😖

    The one thing that makes hptuners a winner is not locking the owner to a tuning shop. Options are good.

    WOW, I was a dealer tech for 25 years, got out in 2011, I knew/know a lot and was getting into basic programing at the dealership but this... just blows my mind. I just got an MPVi3, to dial in some things that bother me with my 17 Yukon, I think it's going to take a while to get this figured out.

    excellent content. a large cam does in fact cause misfire, which is what gives you the chop chop. you can start to hear lope over 10% misfires, it's not necessarily 100% misfire

    I was hoping the OS tab was more than just a directory of patches. What patches are available for Gen 2 Viper?

    Does HP tuners offer an online in depth class to understand tuning with the software?

    If there is not an existing tune for my car can I still edit the spark/timing table myself (yes the car is compatible but I cannot find any existing performance tunes for it)

    • @WillEagleton
      @WillEagleton ปีที่แล้ว

      Start by saving your stock tune, and then make a copy of it.

    Hey guys i hope this doesn't get lost i have a dumb beginer question. Ok so lets say that i have a computer that has been damaged a bit or has had some codes erased or otherwise not working for the car (but the computer is still good) and i want to RE-install all the drivers or codes for said computer, how would i do this, and is it possible to kinda do a factory reset sort of deal or just reinstall everything from scratch???? Like reprogram the computer as if it where brand new from the factory.. you guys know what i mean.. thank you all so much in advace for all ur help.

    Not sure I understand this whole credit thing/situation. Is it one credit per vehicle for life, or per module, or per edit or what? I'm used to stand alone EMS, buy once cry once and done.

    • @WillEagleton
      @WillEagleton ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vehicles I believe are 1-2 credits based on complexity, automatic trans tuning may eat another credit? (I have a manual).

    Not gonna lie I'm completely lost with tuning. I understand how to build the vehicle and I understand the concepts of what's going on but it's all super overwhelming to me as of right now. Gonna keep viewing and taking notes before I start anything on the vehicle.

      @@carnut351cleveland9 I'm getting a little better grasp on it. I kinda screwed myself because I started adding more changes to the truck before driving and messing with the tune more and getting comfortable. I added a turbo. Did a 4l80e swap and done a regear so made some major changes that I feel like I should have waited on. I'm finishing everything up now. But watch goat rope garage. He really good at breaking things down. Talks a lot about some off topic stuff but really informative

    Im a mopar guy and seems like all of these help videos are always for GM. Mopar is completely different. Options and tables are different. Several things shown for GM aren't even on the Mopar stuff. Its laid out different and several things in GM don't exist on the Mopar side

    • @fomomofo6917
      @fomomofo6917 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably because GM is the most common to tune with LT and LS swaps and such. Also many Mopars have a locked ECM and require an unlocking service to deter people from tuning.
