    I’ve heard that we can say metaphors instead of giving advice and I’ve also heard that we can say oh there was a client of mine that had this experience blah blah blah.. and I’ve also heard that we can get factual things which you mentioned
    What do you think the best approach would be to start with?
    Metaphor, and if that doesn’t work, then factual information or other ? I know it’s a long question but I just wanted to check😀🙏

      Just to clarify a metaphor isn't advice it it more about comparing one thing to another to provide clarification. The first approach in coaching is to elicit from the client what they know, what ideas they have etc, then offer a small bit of educational type content, and then elicit again from them what they think of the info and then ask if there's something they'd like to do with that new info. And as always we ask permission before we offer information or educate. Hope that helps.
