How To Change a Roof Vent on Enclosed Trailer

Changing a roof vent is in order. Not sure why the manufactures are making them so cheaply (constructed) but were getting good at changing them.

Why not just replace the cap? What is the reasoning for replacing the whole unit?

100% Thanks! Got it changed in an hour. Ours had some kind of proprietary star bit that was not standard (In case someone runs into this issue) I took a T20 and hammered it into the old screw heads.

Usually butyl tape between vent and roof?

Try THROUGH THE ROOF sealant for any roof repair or modification.. Hope this tip helps you in the future.

I used 3M flashing tape to hold mine together, it fell apart in a wind storm a week ago, the tape held up great…lol

Had them for a long time but I know Northern Tool and Home Depot carries them.
