- © 1992 Brainchild Records. The 2nd excellent CD from whom I like to refer to as The Rippingtons V.2.0, I mean even that cover art is a "nod" to The Rippingtons 'Weekend In Monaco.' This is a tight L.A. group led by keyboardist Daniel Ho, and even features Russ Freeman of the Ripps as composer on this tight album.

One of my all times favorite bands and albums. Note the incredible lineup! Benoit, Freeman, Greg Vail, Dean Parks, Steve Bailey and featuring the legendary Gerald Albright in one of my favorite compositions ever; "Teresa Confessions"! Thanks Kyle!
Spectacular all the way through!
Never heard from this group..Amazing to find here!
Great album 👌
Już pierwszy kawałek, The Odyssey, wciska w fotel. Energetyczny jak espresso. Płyta doskonała. Nieśmiertelne lata 90.
Smooth Jazz's radio hits by Kilauea in the early 90s: "Frontrunner", "Rio Skyline", and "Teresa's Confession".
Aside from being a bit long, I'm surprised "The Odyssey" wasn't an airplay hit. It's squarely in the "Weekend in Monaco" realm and it has a lot of energy.
Track 1 reminds me a lot of "Morocco" by The Rippingtons.
Russ's influence is huge on this album
This is a one of my favorites albums, When I saw it in iTunes I ran to buy it.
Awesome jazz
You ever felt so relaxed that you drive with your eyes closed?
Nah, it's just like Homer Simpson in Slumberland
I’ll need your insurance information so I can relay it to my insurance so my record won’t get credited for the accident which totaled my car 🤣
"Rio Skyline" is my favorite
Kyle you’re such a legend bringing jewels like this for us ❤ Btw I’d love to listen to a set made all of new stuff, I loved when you played some Mitch Murder✨ much love from Spain!
Now THIS is how start the weekend off right!!! Just a great, well put together album!!!
I started my weekend off with it as well!
I have a pretty extensive fusion / smooth record collection and awareness of artists. But somehow 90% of the artists you post Kyle, I’ve never heard of! This is awesome music. I’m a huge Rippingtons fan but never heard of these guys.
love this so much!!!!!!!!!!! 2:34 is really awesome!!
Great album my favorite of theirs along with midnight on the boulevard
I always thought this album sounded indistinguishable from The Rippingtons, but Russ only wrote one of the songs. However I think he wrote a lot more of their album Antigua Blue.
i was listening to it for the first time and i thought the same! it remembered me of rippingtons too! :)
Excellente album! Thank You very much! I have it on CD.. 🙂👍
❤
Nice to hear this good full album from them
kyle, you are the best youtuber! thank you so.much. your channel and uploads gives me so much joy!
Some sweet songs on this one
The saddest thing about this is that it’s just slightly post vinyl. There’s some awesome smooth stuff on record but lots of this golden era and the stuff that followed was CD / cassette only.
This sounds like Rippingtons.
thought the same! ;)
❤️💕
Me encanta ❤te escucho desde Monterrey Mexico
