Jodhpur boots need to be put more into the spotlight. I rarely see them in stores and in the streets. I wanna get some of them. I have a pair of black cowboy boots. I can't tell you honestly when I last saw someone wear cowboy boots here where I live, in Switzerland.
@@soldatinconnu1804 What makes them weird to you? Cowboy boots have thick leather, which makes them extra sturdy. That's a big plus. They're comfy too, when you pick the right size and are used to wearing cowboy boots. They are not limiting in any way. I can run in them if I have too, lol. They take some time to break in, probably longer than most boots. You can go with solid black boots without any extra details. So I don't see really anything weird about them. I'm not walking around with ones that have spurs or that are made of python, lol.

Only because they are American, or is it because these 2 are more streamlined in design and don't have a curved in heel? When you wear cowboy boots for fashion reasons, you have the pants over the boots and only see the bottom half of the boot, which makes them look very similar to biker boots (elongated toe box, curved heel). Biker boots are also more specific boots but are more perceived as "bad ass" and more accepted in urban areas. In the end the boots have to go with your whole outfit. I pay attention to where I'm going and if the boots fit the occasion, but otherwise I wear them despite their unpopular perception. I'm ok with that. It's like wearing a perfume that not everyone else wears.

I've also been all over the world. I've never once heard anyone say goodness, I need to get a pair of swedish boots that are considered masculine, stylish, excellent in various hard labor work environments, can we're to a funeral, wedding, church, and reek of masculinity. Only one boot does that and it's the cowboy boot. Now I've seen European men want cowboy boots simply because they are a personification of masculinity that's about it. Some of the toughest men this world has to offer are cowboys. Ive personally seen these men wearing cowboy boots at all occasions such as church, weddings, funerals, the birth of there children, birthdays, Christmas, Easter, work, jail etc. I've literally seen cowboys born with a pair of baby cowboy boots, die in a pair of cowboy boots, and everything between. Never seen or heard of anyone doing that in swedish or Chinese boots.
I bought a pair of Thursday's Duke Chelsea boots in a medium brown. Wasn't in love with the color or the fit (they run big), so I was able to exchange them easily for a smaller pair in a darker brown. I love these boots! I'm surprised how many compliments I get on them!

10 years ago I spent 500 usd on a Loake brogue derby and it was one of the finest purchases I've made. They are sturdy and durable. I've used them a lot in the past decade and they need very little maintenance. At the time, I really wanted it but was afraid to spend half my salary on it but my family backed me up and encouraged me to buy something nice for a change.

Heck, some guys even wear them with shorts, although I'm not one of them. There's nothing more comfortable than a good pair of broken-in boots.

I have to say that Thursdays are not just boots that he's being paid to say are good, they're legitimately the best boots you can get in that price range. You can add $100 to level up, but if you're top end of what you can pay is in the $200 range, Thursday is THE way to go.

With TSA Pre-check status, you don’t have to take off your shoes. I’ve wanted to wear my Thursday Boots (Captains) but never have because I think they have a steel shank in them and would set off the detectors. I was hoping for a nice Thursday boot that would allow me to walk through the metal detector and not get flagged.
just get yourself wingtip oxford brogue boots and shoes. they go with everything. and for me as a size 10.5, brogue makes my feet look a little smaller as well. my fit for Oxford is size 9 ☺️ that's why I love my Oxford's (brogue). the rest of the boots in this video though, I don't think you'll see many men wearing them in UK. but brogues, you can't fuck with brogues.
Make sure to wear pants that compliment or accommodate the boots. Nothing worse than western boots or other long shin boots with skinny jeans tucked inside! It’s called boot cut and regular cut for a reason. Women do this, not men! Also invest in wear protection cleats where appropriate, especially if you notice wear points on you footwear. Blakeys or similar cleats are a good investment though they don’t work well on rubber soles and heels. Great video Antonio and Thursday Boots is a great company producing styles you don’t find elsewhere.

Since boots have a taller heel than most shoes, they should definitely be worn by shorter guys. Maybe wear the pant leg over the shaft of the boot so it doesn’t look too tall? Also there are shorter shaft boots, ankle boots etc. Thursday makes the Cadet it’s like 5 eyelets…but the heel/top lift isn’t quite as tall as some other boots
Iam from India, the issue here is the color because finding the right polish is a task. Black and dark tan are readily available in neighborhood shops but for tan and brown you have to search a lot and just forget about other colors.
Sorry, but your comments on jump boots are way off. I served 15 years in airborne units and there are not modern day jump boots. We jump in everyday combat boots. Jump boots are WW II era Corcorans, especially with a toe cap. We usually only wear them with dress uniforms.

Since boots have a taller heel than most shoes, they should definitely be worn by shorter guys. Maybe wear the pant leg over the shaft of the boot so it doesn’t look too tall? Also there are shorter shaft boots, ankle boots etc. Thursday makes the Cadet it’s like 5 eyelets…but the heel/top lift isn’t quite as tall as some other boots

Iam from India, the issue here is the color because finding the right polish is a task. Black and dark tan are readily available in neighborhood shops but for tan and brown you have to search a lot and just forget about other colors.
Try neutral polish.

Sorry, but your comments on jump boots are way off. I served 15 years in airborne units and there are not modern day jump boots. We jump in everyday combat boots. Jump boots are WW II era Corcorans, especially with a toe cap. We usually only wear them with dress uniforms.
