Have you brannocked your foot? If so, then you should be good. I brannocked my foot, got a half size down for a roomier fit on redwings (which customer service said fits almost the same), and it's been amazing. I could even go another half size down (full size down from brannock), and be good. But I'm hoping I did the same too xD I went full size down since the last is an anatomically correct last, and don't want my foot sliding down. I also don't want to have to tie my boots super tight to prevent that.
Man this leather is so badass, I hope by some miracle Jim Green can get some of this for customs, I'd be willing to pay the premium for them to source it.

Get that blood leather into Japan on exclusive products. Guaranteed sellers. Thatâs exactly what their leather heads want!
Break in is definitely killer. People say that Iron Rangers are a bitch to break in, but after wearing my JK boots for 3 plus months and STILL not being fully broken in, the Iron Rangers are a breeze by comparison.
Actually, I have a pair of the Drifters 2. No major issues. Only thing is the Whiteâs bite in your ankle area. The leather was soft. I dunno about the blood core leather though.
I love these, I wear almost every day. Can't wait till next badass pair of boots you design. (Don't worry about those nd3s, they can't all be home runs. But you definitely redeemed yourself with these!)
These are the first pair of boots that I immediately clicked the link to buy but had to hold myself back. The leather and styling is beautiful. But I honestly can't bring myself to pay a premium for a 10-inch boot. My calves are built and will definitely be constricted with the height. If I suffered from LADS I'd have a harder time resisting. But if this was in a form factor that encouraged everyday wear (not saying sneakers, but also NOT not saying sneakers), actually showing my life style, then I think it'd be perfect. White's lifestyle Perry and Millwood 6" boots are kind of the perfect vibe I'd look for in this material. That's just my opinion, but a 10-incher feels like a commitment of style over my comfort. But how they are now, I think it's gorgeous for most outfits. I could see these as the new hipster theater-kid cliche. Doc Martin's were iconic for the yellow stitching, but the blood-core is like a classy-brutal vibe.
I wish I could afford these and were NFPA certified. I love them. I just bought smoke jumpers a few months ago for work and I really really love them. Anyone who buys these, youâre gonna love them. 100%.
I bought my first white's Logger Smoke Jumpers in 91-92. 4 pairs later I was just told they couldn't rebuild the first anymore, I was heartbroken. Think I'll be getting buried in them.
These somehow reminded me of my old, never seen again, Timberland made _combat_ boots, Vietnam style jungle boot...made by timberland. I loved those things, I have no idea what happened to them, and I've never seen another pair for sale ð
I'd love to see this leather on a run of cheaper boots. Love it and the idea but those are expensive. If it was a run of redwings or thorogoods I could snag some. Absolutely gorgeous
2:39 what do you mean by "strong"? like you say the grain is tighter and holds everything together. so its actually the stronger part. if you split a leather down the middle and make one boot from the flesh and one from the grain side, the latter will most definitely last longer. the reason why a roughout boot is durable is that the flesh side "absorbes" the cuts and scratches while the stronger grain side is not damaged and thus stays strong
the chart at 3:30 isnt accurate. Theres no way leather gets "stronger" over time. Comfortable sure but don't gaslight your audience who dont know better
I love leather but genuinely i do want more ethical leather because a lot of faux leather is also very carbon heavy same as the mass farming for leather and i do hope that moving onwards leather is more ethical similar to the jim green boots. As much as i love leather i think a mixed lining like a thick linen and hemp twill on the toe area and leather can be really great since in history it was mainstream for a while, and was really good. This is just a preference for any shoe which i think should bring back and its not really related to this lol. This looks awesome i love the red, also the cutting hurt my heart cuz uve already broken it in omg.
I have a pair of whites hathorn boots that have lasted 10 years and walked over 40,000 miles. Minus some cracks in the leather (my fault) they are the most comfortable shoe i own. The best investment you can make
I love this leather, the boot is cool, just not my style. I wouldnât mind these in some cowboy boots though. I donât own a pair of Chisos or JK western boots. but a collab with someone would be cool. Using leather in quality boots to make them last longer is also likely better for the environment because you would buy less boots, using up less produced materials, ultimately taking less from the environment overall.
underconsumption, taking care of what you already own, is better for the environment. It also teaches you to take care of your things, including the environment around you.
