Caron pour un homme will always have a special place for me. You could say it helped launch my career. My boss loved it and I gifted a bottle to him one Christmas and he was thrilled with it.
Dolce and Gabbana ...I had the Bottle when it first came out. I loved that colone more than anything I ever had. It had a "take me away" vibe....everyone asked me what it was. I ran out....never been able to replace it
Some great picks here. Haven't tried all of them (might try to snap up the Lauders while they're still available) but still some favorites on this list for sure. I'll never be without the original Paco Rabanne for as long as it or I are around (whichever comes first.) Some great fragrances from that house (my 50ml of Tenere is one of the jewels of my collection) and really a disgrace that they took his first name off the brand name before his body was cold. Loewe is also a great house that deserves way more respect than it gets and Escencia is the embodiment of "green." Jules is spectacular but I would say near Kouros-level daring these days. Looking forward to part 2!
Could you mention or do a video on fugeres for women or that are more unisex? I know Elizabeth Arden’s green tea line, and 4711 but any others would be helpful!
All the Dunhill Edition, D & G pour homme & Davidoff Cool Water have been really watered down what you get now is like the shadow of what these fragrances used to be
NICELY DONE AS USUAL Sebastián, how are you? This is a great video and list. That Aramis sounds good but I used to Wear Tuscany. Pleasures for men I need to try. Keep up the good work brother SOTD ROBERTO CAVALLI PARADISE FOUND
You forgot to mention that Versace's The Dreamer was the last creation under Gianni Versace's direction before he was assassinated; otherwise great history lesson, Azzaro and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme are goated
You are correct about Dolce& Gabbana Pour Homme the one with the square sticker is the older and best, I believe it was made in Italy and the new one is made in France or Germany.
i've heard the production of d&g pour homme is back under d&g control and also back in italy. is this true? have you tried a new "made in italy" bottle yet?

Omg. Hugo Boss...reminds me of selling cable TV when it first became available. Customers loved it..around the DC area

Interesting that you chose Cool Water over Zino from Davidoff. Cool water is more aquatic than fougere imo, while Zino is the stereotypical fougere.
Cool water is still a fougere and one of the best selling fragrances ever (and most have never heard of zino)
Could you mention or do a video on fugeres for women or that are more unisex? I know Elizabeth Arden’s green tea line, and 4711 but any others would be helpful!
Thank you - loved the history!
Some say Le Male is inspired by (or possibly a homage to) Cuba Gold, which is from 1979. They do smell quite similar.

You forgot to mention that Versace's The Dreamer was the last creation under Gianni Versace's direction before he was assassinated; otherwise great history lesson, Azzaro and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme are goated
Can’t forget something I wasn’t aware of lol yes I knew he got murdered in 1997, but didn’t realize that was the story. Thanks for letting us know.. 😀
Cant wait for the modern video!

You know the Floris company was founded by a Spanish immigrant in London right? If you didn't know that - then we'll smelt indeed!
i've heard the production of d&g pour homme is back under d&g control and also back in italy. is this true? have you tried a new "made in italy" bottle yet?

To me, barbershop fragrances aren't aromatic fougeres, they are powdery, lightly floral, etc. like talcum powder.
clubman?
