the crazy thing is, i know the actor who played Todd. He and I were in a local youth acting community. It wasnt even anything serious, anyone who signed up (and paid) got in, so its not like we were all talented. Shortly afterwards, he told us he got in a show called OddSquad, and now its insane seeing a kid i knew actually ON TV

dude i remember when i was younger i had an odd squadsona that i shipped with odd todd ☠️ i forgot what my name was though but i think my character was a villain alongside him??
Oona getting stuck in a dimension with no people just exercise equipment for 6 months before finding a way back is like Dr. Scranton getting trapped in SCP-3001 but with a happy ending.
I remember as a kid I always thought the villains got off as lightly as they did because they were more “patients” instead of “criminals”. Like the inherent oddness of this world kinda just chooses random people to be conduits for it. The villains are odd in a way that entirely consumes them, their not in control of their oddness, and thus their actions, as odd squad agents are for example, which is why they try to rehabilitate them instead of jsut chucking them in jail.
Like 3 days ago I made up a headcanon that Odd Squad is just what the SCP Foundation personnel's kids do all day while their parents are working because there are a lot of low-level SCPs that seem to be mostly harmless for children for some inexplicable reason. Now this video is recommended. Have I been recruited?
I honestly have a bit of Nostalgia for Olive and Otto. Maybe it was just something about season 1 but I did kind of miss them along with Oscar and of course the Math Room
I’ve been an SCP fan for years- my childhood friend was an SCP fan, idk how she knew it, but at a year range where I was avidly watching Odd Squad I also got into SCP. She was just like- wow SCP! I wrote a crossover. I’m not posting it. 😅
My mom constantly has the tv on for her baby and one day i walked into the tv room to see the fucking mech episode I was extremely confused why there were giant robots in a show about dinosaurs but whatever, they looked cool Also i think there's time travel involved????
When I watched that show I thought, They can build a train that transports millions of years within seconds. They can come to the human era if they wanted to.
Late but the "Mayor can't stop singing" episode brought back a founding piece of my personhood that I didn't even remember I had. Me and my sister would literally quote that episode to each other on repeat for RIDICULOUS amounts of time. I'm sure it drove our parents crazy lol
Ok, sure, but that episode where Oona was stuck in an empty dimension with exercise equipment, slowly slipping into insanity and talking to a video recorder was literally just Scp 3001, right?
Even as a person who really dislikes math, Odd Squad has a special place in my heart. I have a picture of the hydraclops I drew when I was younger on my bedroom floor somewhere, and I still think back to that season one rounding episode with the spaghetti from time to time when I need to round numbers. I also begged my mom for red converse shoes solely (hahahaha shoe pun) for the reason that they wore them in the show lol
I miss them too By the way the last time I checked the odd squad was still a running as show even miss o had returned The bad thing is that in the condition it was when I last say it it was a bit different I don’t know maybe because I drop in on the wrong time I don’t know but it seems like they were not in that SCP foundation type place honestly I didn’t even see any math in there.
There's an episode on reading calendars in season 3 I think about sometimes: Turns out Orla has been using a planner for the last 500 years, at least partly because she overheard villains in a public cafe plotting the apocalypse. She's apparently trained/planned so thoroughly that she can comfortably defeat an entire army of cosmic monsters singlehandedly if she wants to. I don't know what to do with this information, but it seems important somehow
29:31 im 90% sure that Todd is just jacked, since he also lifts the shapeshifter when she's a briefcase during a trial (forgot the episode) and Todd being jacked doesn't surprise me in the slightest
Yeah, it literally made NO SENSE to me XD Olive claimed the Shapeshifter can't change her weight in that briefcase episode, so in this case, either SS upped her game a little or Odd Todd used some old gadget to lift heavy weights. I'd say the former because in Todd's debut episode, when Todd tricked Shapeshifter into turning into a dog bone, that dog agent (what's his name again?) came by, picked her up, and gave her to Todd once she surrendered. Then again, that second story was a flashback, so I'd say the whole "SS can't change her weight" thing was retconned.
This show in non-English languages was an absolute fever dream, beyond the original kid friendly SCP foundation fever dream, like… if English OS was a 38 degree fever, non English was like a 40 degree one.
They should’ve done a proper sendoff for Olympia and Otis also I would like to know what happened to O’Brien, because at the end of that tube episode, we literally never hear about O’Brien ever again
odd squad needs more recognition, I see a lot of people write it off as a “goofy show with silly jokes for kids” , that’s how you can tell they haven’t watched training day/the movie/ who is agent otis/any other plot heavy episode I forgot
Honestly even the episodes that aren't extremely plot-heavy are still (at the very least, a little) enjoyable Also yes I so very much agree that this show needs more recognition
I'm a teen and still enjoy watching Odd Squad. Like what many have said, this is a good kid friendly version of the SCP Foundation. I wonder how many got into that after watching this show as a kid?
a lot of the actors in odd squad are now in really big movies/tv shows like Filip Gelijo (Agent Otto) is in Avatar way of the water as Aonung, Dalila Bela (Agent Olive) was in Anne with an E as Diana Barry, and Anna Cathcart (Agent Olympia) is staring in XO Kitty as Kitty and was Dizzy in Descendance 2-3. I'm so glad that the cast of the show I grew up with are getting the recognition they deserve.
The one person getting sent to the realm of exercise equipment made me think of my childhood OC, Jane McMane, who got trapped in the attic with exercise equipment, and when her sister finally found her she was absolutely jacked lmao.
I remember that there was an episode of running when I was a doctor’s office or something, and I watched the whole thing. I remember the plot involved Olive going on some investigation that involved Shapeshifter, and there’s this point in the episode where Shapeshifter turns into a pie, causing Olive to scream in terror, to which Otto is confused by, and Olive reveals that she’s afraid of pie and that it’s an long story. I believe that the rest of the episode involves her having to touch a pie just to make sure that it’s not Shapeshifter. Then Olive shoots Ms. O at the end of the episode because she offered her a day off from work.
Around 2016-ish (around the time s2 came out) I was obsessed with Odd Squad. There was just something about it that was so fun to watch. The learning wasn’t pushed to your face (for majority of the time) and it had some really fun and memorable characters and situations. I dropped out after a little time after the movie dropped, but man, was that a fun phase.
I am forever grateful for the existence of Odd Squad, I was (and still am) terrible at math so while being a goofy and entertaining show it actually helped me quite a bit when I was younger!
I remember watching this when it came out, I remember watching every episode when it was new and I in fact remember crying at Olive and Otto leaving forever. Damn I love this show even if I mostly outgrew it.
I cried too watching O is Not For Over. I miss Olive and Otto. :'( And yes, the part where Otto said, "Does this mean we're getting married?" and Olive was like, "What? NO!" got me rolling on the floor XD
I’d love to see you talk about Cyberchase, it was my childhood and has surprisingly deep lore. And I’d love to see your reaction to the post episode live-action scenes lol
I don't know how what requirements she places on these lore video but every one that I have seen is about shows that have stopped making new seasons and Cyber Chase is still ongoing.
@@sociallyineptsnapper Well the ongoing thing might change due to this one major factor: the death of one of the voice actors. Gilbert Gottfried played Digit, one of the main characters.
I've always been intrigued by their partnership in that trial episode ngl I'd ship them but the age gap would make it problematic, so I'm not going to, don't worry.
I just thought of a fun thing they could’ve thought about for this show. What if there was another organization called the Even Team? Everyone’s names could start with E and instead of investigating things that are odd They investigate things that disrupt balance and help to fix things that are naturally fair but somehow became unfair/uneven. Then there could be an episode where they both set out to solve a case that is both odd and disrupting the balance. And they first try to beat each other to solve it first due to company rivalry but eventually work together to solve it and start an alliance. 😂I can’t believe I just made a fan fic prompt out of this weird kids show.
Oh my god, I had forgotten this show and you reminded me of it, violently. I was in my 20s when this came out, and I remember watching it not for the math lessons, but because it was one of the only things I'd ever seen that instilled a deep sense of fear and dread in me. I just remember the episode showing that the director was an agent back in the 80s, but she hadn't aged _at all,_ despite having lived at _least_ 30 years. This show was a nightmare, and I LOVED IT!
Odd Squad and Wild Kratts were my JAMS back in middle school! I did stop watching Odd Squad sometime after season 1, mainly 'cause the PBS station for our area moved it from 3pm to 5:30 or 6 am, so I had only seen up to the Odd Todd event, and by the time I caught another episode, they were well into season 2. I had assumed Olive and Otto had aged out, but was most upset with Oona replacing Oscar. I didn't know what happened to him and had a "How dare you stand where he once stood" moment with her (Oscar was and is my most favorite character, followed by Otto). I'm quite happy to learn of the OG O's send offs!
"Take away one, take away one, take away one, take away one breath from me, and you take away four! Whoa! One, one, one, one baby. I'll be keeping score. There's nothing left of me, 'cause you take away four!" Yeah Soundcheck is still fire after like 8 years. I always thought they were a direct parody of One Direction. Also that Gingers Have Souls reference was just out of left field lol.
For being as much of a Trekkie as I am, I can't believe it took this video for me to realize the tube-operator being named "O'Brian" is most definitely a reference to Conan O'Brian who operated the transporters on
This show was my FAVORITE as a kid, I can’t lie, younger me shipped the agents together so hard. Olympia and Otis were my first otp. Also yes please make a part 2 on the iconic sound check!
I did too! I couldn’t remember why my younger self did what she did, but I rewatched it recently to figure out why and wow, those two fit like a glove, lmao
I lowkey thought Odd Squad was a fever dream, so I'm glad that other people had the experience of that show too! I loved this as a kid, and I still love it.
I grew up watching odd squad and playing odd squad games on the pbs kids website. I forgot it existed for a bit and this entire video was a rush of nostalgia
I remember 13-16 year old me watching one episode of this show daily because Pokemon was transmitting immediately after on Tooncast, so it was a good timer, but eventually I legitimately started liking the show
I’d love to see you talk about such an underrated show from my childhood, called Crashbox on HBO Family (you can find this show on HBO Max too). And it’s a shame many don’t know about this show because it was very revolutionary for its time with all the different animations the show had. (The show is from 1999). The show’s concept is that your brain is asleep and that this computer filled with little robots crashes into it and is here to fill it with knowledge by crafting different games. These games can be from a narrator talking about a revolting slob and how awful his life is by teaching new English words (with him exploding at the end of every segment when she says a word that means to explode) to a skeleton pirate teaching you math with his bones and insults you when you can’t keep up. This show pushed the limits of what you could do with an educational children’s show and I just wish it got the attention it deserves
I remember seeing 1 episode as a kid where one character was looking for treasure he buried as a kid but failed cause his feet were bigger so his steps were bigger so counting them didn't work, SO HE PULLED OUT THE SHOES HE WORE WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER AND WAS JUST LIKE "oh yeah I carry all my shoes from when I was younger with me at all time for just this reason"
That was the hydroclops episode. It wasn’t treasure it was Oscar’s secret weapon against the hydroclops. He made a series of maps to find other maps to find the secret weapon using arbitrary things to measure distance (toy bear, candy bar, his 5 year old feet). And yes he carries around his shoe sizes from all his ages, you don’t? The secret weapon was his smelly sock btw. The hydroclops has a big nose and it didn’t like the smell. They all hid their own socks again so in 100 years when the hydroclops came back with all it’s brothers and sisters they would be prepared
What if Odd Squad is the future of the backrooms? What if they finally made the backrooms (or most of it) stop moving around. So the "Oddness" from the back rooms spread throughout the world. But that's just a theory, A FILM THEO-
I legit only watched season one because i got so freakin attached to seeing ottis and olive in odd squad as a kid i couldent handle watching two other mains lmao.
This show was past my Discovery Kids time( there is where it aired on my country) but every now and then I would catch an episode and be weirdly fascinated by it
Early in quarantine, the finale of season 2 was recommended to me on TH-cam, and even though we hadn't followed the series for years, my sister and I watched it. We completely lost it when Otis said "i was raised by ducks," and it's still an inside joke with us. Also when he started to fly, like wtf?
THAT'S WHAT THIS SHOW IS CALLED! I used to watch it but could never remember the name, or even the premise. It was just 'that weird childhood show' for the longest time.
With this tv show, I literally taught my fifth grade classmates how to do rounding. It was one of the rare times my ego was fed. (Edit: this took place when i was in fifth grade)
I forgot about this show before this video. I used to watch it since I was forced to watch these kinds of shows when my sister was young and I really liked it. It is basically a family-friendly SCP Foundation and I love this show for that. Also if an official SCP show or movie gets made then I hope the people who did this show do that since they would be perfect and I would not be supervised if the crew were SCP fans.
Man, this show was my childhood. Actually went to a camp with the actor for Ms. O. Never really talked to her, but I saw her around a couple times and she seemed nice. She was also in Wonder I believe?
Funny how these videos legitimately make me want to see these shows for myself. For the next PBS Kids show I recommend I’d go with The Electric Company, which is about these kids that have spelling and grammar based powers that they shoot out like fireballs. Later episodes later introduce a new boy with math based powers instead which is probably the key reason Odd Squad reminds me of it so much.
god finally a youtuber is FINALLY covering Odd Squad!! I loved that show as a kid and remember watching it for hours, and i think the boss child had a juice addiction.
Also sidenote, in the Odd Suqad game on the PBS Kids website, I named my character, “Oisaac” because I thought it would kick me out of the game because my name started with an I.
Every head of a branch had a drink they were into and Ms O's was juice. When Olive starts training for her position as head, Oscar tells her she needs to pick her signature drink
I remember we watched the Odd Squad movie in my 6th grade class. It was, needless to say, the most feverish dream I've ever had. Dave still haunts my dreams.
I 100% believe that this show is the root of my love of cryptozoology and the SCP foundation. I remember watching this when I was way older than the target audience just so I could learn the world building 😅😅😅. Edit: I couldn’t help myself and watched one of the episodes on TH-cam and I forgot just how ICONIC Dr. O is, an absolute girl boss and mood
I was completely obsessed with Odd Squad as a kid and I literally cried when Olive and Otto were sent off, I was an extremely sentimental kid, for me Olive Otto and Oscar (and Ms. O) were my absolute favourites and while I do love Olympia and Otis (still not happy about their send off) they hold a special place on my heart. I miss the math room Justice for Carol! Oprah and O'Donahue were such great partner's and it was sad to see him levae, Olga made me so mad everytime she showed up Also Season 1 was objectively the best season.
My favorite line in the entire series and perhaps all of tv is during the O games when all the characters chosen come up to the stage saying something like “#60 DR. O: 100% smart 0% silly” and finally #70 gets called and Otto is all like ‘dang I wish that was me’ and Olive tells him it IS him and he says “AGENT OTTO 100% #70 0% NOT NUMBER 70%” and that line has stuck with me for years
I didn't even know there was a season 3... I remember the season 2 finale and actually believed the show ended after that. Thats pretty neat they were able to make more of such a solid pbs kids show.
my favorite was Oksanna. she was so done with everyones shit and i loved her for that. also, my sister has a big fuzzy spherical pillow that she uses as a stuffed animal and calls it her centigerp.
I feel like looking back at it Odd Squad had pretty good world building with the villains, characters, and setup of the town. Someone honestly should have talked abt the lore by now lol
This was my favorite show when I was younger, had no idea it had lore ‘till you brought it up lmao. Edit: 19:38 “having a midlife crisis at the age of 10” I relate to that, as someone who had a midlife crisis at the age of ten lmfao.
When I was a kid I was SO convinced this show was like genuinely real, and whenever I saw something slightly out of the ordinary I would actually call for odd squad like they were gonna pop outta my wall or something. I remember looking for tube entrances and stuff like I was actually gonna find them too. I also desperately wanted to be a part of odd squad but didn’t we all?
SCP 209 “Odd squad” Object class: Keter SCP 209 is a squad filled of children investigating paranormal and “odd” things, sometimes solving them and helping people. Even finding other anomalies. It’s unknown if they created these or simply discovered unknown anomalies, man I’m too lazy to write a paragraph.
Finally someone who looks at the masterpiece of odd squad! Almost no one makes odd squad content but when I was younger I loved odd squad and recently I started watching some of the episodes again and even at 16 I still enjoyEd it. I know math pretty well but apart from the math part odd squad is really entertaining to watch
I was a little too old to consistently watch PBS anymore when this show came out, BUT it was definitely the type that made you stand in the Livingroom if an episode was on when you passed by. SO weird comparing the snippets from memory to the actual lore!
Dude I get that you can put ads in your video wherever you want but the fucking "that's why you'll get an ad here right... now!" Then the ad cuts in, then "aaaand we're back!" Bit was so perfectly timed!
I've been a fan of the scp stuff since the original 4chan post and I now have four kids with my oldest being 8. Your title alone shook me to my existential parental core.
I love the idea that they're stuck on basic arithmetic when advanced stuff like calculus is critical for technological development. A guy who got at least an 85 in a high school calculus class would be like a god to them.
I think Miss O is subspecies of human that have a longer longevity and age slower than normal humans. She never mentions her age, so nobody ever tries to kick her out of the squad with the claim she isn't a child because of her age. There is also a subspecies of human that physically grows up faster than normal humans that are immediately considered adults once they've aged up to what everyone views as adults. This is why there are so many seemly overly clueless adults in this world that don't know extremely basic math as if they never were able to receive a full elementary school education. There are also gadgets that slow down the aging process for agents that are promoted that don't belong to this subspecies of slow aging humans. Well that's one theory anyways.
I always imagined Ms. O was just odd. Just like any SCP who randomly had powers. But her immortality kept her physically a child and mentally still at the maturity of a child (I mean a 17 year old can stay right? They’re mature enough. Sometimes.) so they keep her there. Even though she’d be odd, they’d not do anything to her given she works for them, just like the Foundation.
One of my favorite jokes in the series: Olympia: I mean we can't get eaten, there still so much left in the season. Ms. O: What? Olympia: Winter! It's my favorite season. Plus, I got a ski pass and I've barely used it.

Wait what happened to Olive-?
This was me and my sisters after school ritual. This show was crazy, hilarious, and just the right show to teach me math. P.S Oscar was the GOAT
Agreed!! I loved Oscar. I mean, he literally has his own song about him being awesome
@@cloudywillowshome Oscar is Awesome and the remix when he used sticky string-innator against the mind-controlled scientist was a vibe!

Oscar was w mans
Oscar was amazing
As someone who watch a lot of Odd Squad as a child, I have never known it was literally a SCP foundation type of show.
I, too, loved Odd Squad. And now I'm obsessed with the SCP foundation. Correlation or causation, nobody knows.
I’ve been an SCP fan for years-
my childhood friend was an SCP fan, idk how she knew it, but at a year range where I was avidly watching Odd Squad I also got into SCP. She was just like- wow SCP!
I wrote a crossover.
I’m not posting it.

Man, I can't wait till you get your hands on Dinosaur Train one day, that show was certainly ... something when it comes to lore.
My mom never let us watch the Dinosaurs poop episode 😂😂😂
My mom constantly has the tv on for her baby and one day i walked into the tv room to see the fucking mech episode
I was extremely confused why there were giant robots in a show about dinosaurs but whatever, they looked cool
Also i think there's time travel involved????
When I watched that show I thought, They can build a train that transports millions of years within seconds. They can come to the human era if they wanted to.
@@InvasionAnimation oh yeah they do, pretty sure thats the entire plot lol

Ok, sure, but that episode where Oona was stuck in an empty dimension with exercise equipment, slowly slipping into insanity and talking to a video recorder was literally just Scp 3001, right?
Yep. Except they don’t just kinda die. Or in another universe turns into 106.
I LOVED THAT EPISODE! Idk why
And like I said in another reply, Oona’s bad ending would’ve been her turning into a jacked nice girl or some shit! XD
Same
i still think about the rock paper scissors episode to this day
Literally me🙂🙂🙂
This show was a MASTERPIECE I MISS Otto and Olive SO BADLY 😭
ME TOOO
I miss them too By the way the last time I checked the odd squad was still a running as show even miss o had returned The bad thing is that in the condition it was when I last say it it was a bit different I don’t know maybe because I drop in on the wrong time I don’t know but it seems like they were not in that SCP foundation type place honestly I didn’t even see any math in there.
YES SAME HERE AAAAAA
I remember when I first seen it I was so mad, I remember feeling as if they ripped a big piece of my heart out and took it with them😭💔
I think I stopped watching right after that happened 😢
There's an episode on reading calendars in season 3 I think about sometimes:
Turns out Orla has been using a planner for the last 500 years, at least partly because she overheard villains in a public cafe plotting the apocalypse. She's apparently trained/planned so thoroughly that she can comfortably defeat an entire army of cosmic monsters singlehandedly if she wants to. I don't know what to do with this information, but it seems important somehow
it is important, thank you good person
I watched that a while ago and it happened
29:31 im 90% sure that Todd is just jacked, since he also lifts the shapeshifter when she's a briefcase during a trial (forgot the episode) and Todd being jacked doesn't surprise me in the slightest
Yeah, it literally made NO SENSE to me XD
Olive claimed the Shapeshifter can't change her weight in that briefcase episode, so in this case, either SS upped her game a little or Odd Todd used some old gadget to lift heavy weights.
This show in non-English languages was an absolute fever dream, beyond the original kid friendly SCP foundation fever dream, like… if English OS was a 38 degree fever, non English was like a 40 degree one.

a lot of the actors in odd squad are now in really big movies/tv shows like Filip Gelijo (Agent Otto) is in Avatar way of the water as Aonung, Dalila Bela (Agent Olive) was in Anne with an E as Diana Barry, and Anna Cathcart (Agent Olympia) is staring in XO Kitty as Kitty and was Dizzy in Descendance 2-3. I'm so glad that the cast of the show I grew up with are getting the recognition they deserve.
Odd squad is really just the SCP foundation if it taught math and was kid friendly
The one person getting sent to the realm of exercise equipment made me think of my childhood OC, Jane McMane, who got trapped in the attic with exercise equipment, and when her sister finally found her she was absolutely jacked lmao.

Superhero origin story
I think there was an episode that explains why she's afraid of pies

Around 2016-ish (around the time s2 came out) I was obsessed with Odd Squad. There was just something about it that was so fun to watch. What if there was another organization called the Even Team?
Everyone’s names could start with E and instead of investigating things that are odd
They investigate things that disrupt balance and help to fix things that are naturally fair but somehow became unfair/uneven.
Then there could be an episode where they both set out to solve a case that is both odd and disrupting the balance. And they first try to beat each other to solve it first due to company rivalry but eventually work together to solve it and start an alliance.

Kinda same lol, but I was around 14 or 15 when it first came (maybe 16)
There's nothing left of me, 'cause you take away four!"
Yeah Soundcheck is still fire after like 8 years. I always thought they were a direct parody of One Direction. Also that Gingers Have Souls reference was just out of left field lol.
what about noisecheck from that one episode
glad how pbs shows are getting more recognized lately
For being as much of a Trekkie as I am, I can't believe it took this video for me to realize the tube-operator being named "O'Brian" is most definitely a reference to Conan O'Brian who operated the transporters on

I grew up watching odd squad and playing odd squad games on the pbs kids website. I forgot it existed for a bit and this entire video was a rush of nostalgia
This was the first show I theorized about. I would stay awake at night wondering about Olive’s old partner and Otis’s past
I love these deep dive videos into preschool shows. Keep up the great work, Athena.
Less preschool, more for kids in general.
I remember 13-16 year old me watching one episode of this show daily because Pokemon was transmitting immediately after on Tooncast, so it was a good timer, but eventually I legitimately started liking the show
i liked the Wild Kratts Crossover, i thought it was funny how they basically parodied the opening of that show XD
Love seeing other people who know about this show
Aww my gf introduced me to this show!! It's a really neat show, hope more people start seeing it!
oh crashbox i think i remember that one
I was scarred by The Revolting Slob, but now I've become The Revolting Slob 😞
Ooh! I forgot Crashbox and HBO Family existed but I remember A Little Curious
This show was basically my entire childhood along with Wild Kratts. Hearing you just, like, spiral while explaining this is just 👌
Yes transitions between characters are very well handled and I really liked the characters.
Honestly so do I.
I also appreciate the set ups for Todd and Odis even if you could see it coming
What if Odd Squad is the future of the backrooms?
What if they finally made the backrooms (or most of it) stop moving around. So the "Oddness" from the back rooms spread throughout the world.
But that's just a theory, A FILM THEO-
I legit only watched season one because i got so freakin attached to seeing ottis and olive in odd squad as a kid i couldent handle watching two other mains lmao.
Same bro
same but it was because i was watching on netflix and all the other seasons were nonexistent (also season 1 was split in 2 for some reason)
I am so happy some one is doing an analysis of one of my favorites kid shows ever made. Thanks Athena.
I'm gonna turn 15 next April, and I STILL love that show!
Let’s just talk about how amazing Oxana is! Also Oscar is actually god
She was in Wonder
One more thing is that you forgot about Baby Genius and Rivka! That’s always been so confusing to me and I’d love to hear your take on them.
I watched this show as a kid, and it always stood out with its interesting characters and humor. I'm glad to see it covered in-depth.
~gonna add one, gonna add one~ WHY WERE THE SONGS IN THIS SHOW ACTUALLY KIND OF A VIBE-

god finally a youtuber is FINALLY covering Odd Squad!! I loved that show as a kid and remember watching it for hours, and i think the boss child had a juice addiction.
Also sidenote, in the Odd Suqad game on the PBS Kids website, I named my character, “Oisaac” because I thought it would kick me out of the game because my name started with an I.
Yup, everytime she showed up she either already had juice in her hand or had someone go get her juice
I just now learned about this show’s existence, but the fact it wasn’t an integral part of my childhood should be a crime.
Oprah and O'Donahue were such great partner's and it was sad to see him levae, Olga made me so mad everytime she showed up
Also Season 1 was objectively the best season.
I'm hoping to see "Sagwa The Chinese Siamese Cat" and "Wild Krats" on these lore videos in the future.
3rd grade me made a lore notebook for this show back in the day lol. Had “Odd Squad Mysteries” written on the front In washable marker and everything.
I thought that all of them aged normally, but Ms O being ageless is just a running gag
me too ;-;
Maybe she is normally ageless and they also have age tech, but most are normally aging?

Good Theory
I always imagined Ms. O was just odd. Just like any SCP who randomly had powers. But her immortality kept her physically a child and mentally still at the maturity of a child (I mean a 17 year old can stay right? They’re mature enough. Sometimes.) so they keep her there.
Even though she’d be odd, they’d not do anything to her given she works for them, just like the Foundation.
I used to love this show so much! The nostalgia hits me so hard by watching this. I wanna watch the show again.
Side note about the Clue episode, for anyone who’s watched superstore, the actor flor Glenn is actually the person who played the pentagon guy

One of my favorite jokes in the series:
Olympia: I mean we can't get eaten, there still so much left in the season.
Ms. O: What?
