    Hi there, firstly great job on this video, I came across it and thought I'd give it a watch. If you don't mind, I thought I'd add some info.
    At 5:46 you were speaking about including textures on surfaces in it's respective dialog box. You can do this. There is a tab further down called "texture", this is where you can import surface textures which you have downloaded or have been sent by the supplier.
    I'd also like to take this opportunity to mention that it would be a good idea to import the asset folder into your embedded library so when you archive this pln, the folder will be incorporated with other libraries within the pla.
    Lastly, another workflow could be to create a duplicate of this elevation in the view map and then place the fills over the elements and continue as you had. The reason I mention this is if the project changes during design, this elevation will not update with your model and you might spend time recreating this view whereas if you work on a linked view, it will update as your model evolves.
    Just my 2 cents!
    Thanks for creating the video! I look forward to seeing what else you have created.

      Wow, Thank you for this. It is really helpful, embedding the assets folder in the library is a very good workflow. I will surely tryout the workflow for the view map too. However my only problem has been that the textures we add in the dialogue box at 05:46 shows in 3D and not in the elevation itself if I changed it. That is why I was forced to move them to the ground floor as all I cared for at the moment was 2D representation

      I am a Revit user, but i decided to start learning Archicad just a couple of days back. I stumbled on this video and this part is where got to me. Is it possible to work on the 3d materials and have them automatically represented on the elevations? So that if the design is altered, the elevations will automatically update.

    Great video!
    Is there a reason you don't just render the elevation?
    by setting up a 3d view > parallel projection > front view then render the image.... This way the textures you apply in the surface setting will display as they would in the 3d window.
    Then if the model/design changes, you can just update the elevation render with just one click, also glass, shadows, reflections etc. appear much more realistic!

    you can actually add fills directly to the elevation...there is no need to copy and paste the elevation in the floor plan. That way if there are any changes in the plan, the elevation is changed automatically and you just need to adjust the fills.

    Hi, thanks a lot for this tutorial, easy to follow and the results speak for themselves. But I have a problem. When I copy my elevation and paste it in the layout to save it, the textures become very blurry for some reason. Any idea why?

    • @nalituts
      @nalituts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may not need to copy and paste into layout, rather marque(make selection), then right click and select save and place on layout.
      With this method, your images wont be affected

    How did you create that siding on the exterior wall?
    I made something similar with a complex profile. Is there another way to do that?

    • @nalituts
      @nalituts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In wall settings, under model, there is an option for log details, If you enable it and choose a style you like, it creates the siding.

    Quick question, how Do you save all that to a pdf and made all fils appear as is,cos my cladding becomes blurry

    • @nalituts
      @nalituts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can marque and save as a pdf file. Just make sure you fit to page so u dont get the drawing split on many pages.
      or you can export from the layoutbook. whichever is easier for you
