my turtle used to do some weird pushups to the beat. cant recall if he could keep a beat but it did look like he could. this was before video cameras became affordable.
my dog uncontrollably starts rolling around and yelping to eminem's rap god. it just doesnt know what the fuck to do lol.
She needed the training so she would respond when they wanted her to. They trained her to pay attention to the beat and she did the rest! -- Trace
I love this sea lion! so cool
She CAN keep up with different tempos and beats, but I'm pretty sure they've only tested it with 4/4. -- Trace
I've played my fair share of instruments. I used to work at a historic site in Michigan and learned the fife, bugel, drum, harmonica, etc... Maybe you can find some videos here on TH-cam! -- Trace
Maybe a bit, but its amazing she had the capacity to do it at all. It makes you wonder what other animals can do. It is not like music with a beat is natural to many species but humans.
A gorilla, remember the "In The Air Tonight" Cadbury's Dairy Milk Advert :D
What's even more remarkable: that she found the backstreet boys dance worthy. That must've took some training =P
Penguins, because deep in my heart I still believe in Happy feet
I love sealions
Totally mantis shrimp because of its little claws i mean kung-fu fighting anyone?
Squids/octopuses (octopi? Octopuses? Whatever...) would make awesome drummers! Lol. They could even play their own backup percussion:-P
Take a look, take a look, take a look at the
Sea Lions on the Beach
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat-beat, beat-beat.
- Sea Lion Chiefs.
I knew a do that would join in singing, especially during the chorus
I am feeling less and less unique the more I watch these videos. My ego's stagnating, ya'll.
Well, at least I can make stupid youtube comments. I'd like to see an animal do THAT!
Rattle snakes. It's already got an instrument to play with, now it must learn to wield it like a maraca
I think it brings up the question "Is is that these animals CAN;T keep a beat? or just that they don't care to?"
Now let's see if she can keep up with time signature changes.
what about that video of the whale in the aquarium that looked like it was dancing to the mariachi band? whale had some smooth moves
i would like to hear (and see) an example of an animal keeping a slow or more complex beat. i mean... those movements in the sown examples... look a little bit like they are just turning their heads up and down as fast as they can.
Flamingos with some slow jazz
So a sea lion can keep a beat better than me... well awesome.
I'm sure, animals just don't like our music otherwise they'd be rocking along all the time.
And by the look of it, the sea lion is just incredibly bored otherwise it wouldn't be lying in front of a wall head banging... ;)
It is Discovery I am pretty sure, if you look at their channel in the top bar it says discovery.
aaaannnndddd how do you know its not a video of a sea lion just twitching, while the song was played over after???
That seal is better at keeping a beat than me?! Damn
My friend's cat could wag it's tail at the beat of the Beatles. But only the Beatles, no other band. xD
I love the way this dude talks
Dolphins, beavers, or an otter would be my best guesses.
That was too cute not going to lie there.

i want to see what happens when the Sea Lion lessens to dub-step
Really cool! Any plants?
we use to have a bird that would dance to nsync. ahaha.
Yeah we've got sea lions on land too, we call em land sea lions
Spiders....they're already good with strings.....
This doesn't surprise me but it's pretty cool, I used to have an african grey that could memorise bits of songs and if you started he'd finish and if you sung it with a faster tempo, he'd adjust :) my green cheeked conure can't keep a beat or even talk though they're just not that type
we should make a sea lion clock
Lyre birds , so an episode on that one !
Just one 1x10^8 bar long note.
D News! Do you guys check out Wimp? The sea lion was one of their videos today.
Funny music is Universal
So do humans have to learn? It seems as if we don't but when we're babies we have no clue until we see others do it?
I would think dolphins as they have big drains and talk to eachother.
What if the sea lion actually was deaf... But she just felt the vibrations of the bass?
My muloccan cockatoo danced to a beat all the time. So does my friend's umbrella cockatoo. This isn't new in the world of parrots.
of all songs, this?
cuz I mean... Look it, awesome !!
Please she probably says turn that awful song off it's giving me anxiety.
Cheetah fast rap :D
Anything with a large number of legs
Does it need to be backstreet boys? It seems to be a theme...
my cockatiel Koki could keep a beat to ice-t cd back in 1997. now give me some real news
He jamin
YEE MAN
rattlesnakes cuz obviously they invented the maraca

Wolverine frogs!
To everyone that replied to me... I'm watching this from a tablet! I can't view their channel banner etc. My apologies.
We find another mammal that can get down and we subject them to the backstreet boys, how cruel.
Play some Zeppelin or the Stones, then all animals will be keeping the beat.
Wolves can sing, well howl but it's music to me either way.. hmm.. dolphins seem to me like they could keep a beat
Hippo to hip hop music
a lobster
- lil mermaid
Any bird really. They all sing.
Every animal in Tarzan

Hermit crabs
Doesn't she get rewarded with attention and fish when she dances? Sounds like a good incentive.
So they can find out this but not cure cancer
My snail can keep a beat too.

Hey :D
BORDER COLLIES! There smart!
I'm no expert but I think a dolphin could be trained to keep a beat hmmmmm......another dolphin test for you scientists :D
I would like to see she listening skrillex.....
I don't think training to keep a beat, I think the point was she is trained and not a wild animal.
Dogs some dogs love music
Sloths look like they would be good at peotry.
