I was most unsure about the direction of tightening the bolt because it is a rotating blade. Working on cars, sometimes bolt tightening is 'lefty tighty'.

Why do you remove spark plug? And in back? What happens if you remove blades without taking out spark plug?

It's a safety precaution. Turning the blade in some cases can create a spark. ( It's a good practice)
