Even though I’m quite late to the game on these MRE reviews, I am really enjoying them. As a long time backpacker I can appreciate the different types of food items.
As an emergency item it is awesome. I think they should have included a couple of small flat bricks or jell along with a few matchsticks in it though as it had room, and one half the container could be used to heat the top half if placed perpendicular to it.
nice review Andy. got a couple of those stashed away in my garage somewhere...abit older then 09 thou. I think the handles are meant to go in an X configuration to enable it to be suspended over a fire etc. think there pretty bomb proof and great to turn into survival kit containers. All the best from across the water in Essex.😊
wow an excellent review of that flying ration I think they were kept in the ejection seat pack not sure but you could definitely survive on that I'm watching one on ebay to I love that idea you did with the ration biscuits and the oxo cube well done that man I really enjoyed that video and I'm so gonna watch it again
Now I Have to Binge watch! How much have you changed! Just getting to the Original Andy and Liking it. Add one of the Bricks to the Beef Stock and you will appreciate it better!
Excellent review! The fact that it came in a metal container reminded me of the West German soldier survival kit that came in the thin aluminum box that was sealed with yellow tape; Steve1989 reviewed one and the contents were in amazing condition.
Great review, good idea to mix stuff together. I decided to sub, first time I have found one of yours. Glad I read some comments, If you and Old Smokey say it is expensive, I can only watch. Add the shipping cost to Thailand, wow. I just got a hold of some of the MREs from Cobra Gold. A lot of cases of US show up around Cobra Gold time every year.Original boxes packed 2017. Gonna record unboxing this afternoon and a couple of tastings at dinner tonight. Moma's out tonight, so Camera Dude and I gonna eat in style for dinner, gonna have that Chilli and beans, mmmm mmmm..
brilliant Andy .... really interesting can you do some more from around the world to see which is cordon bleu quality? Off to check out your Russian MRE video Rgds
New subscriber, just ran across your name. I subscribe to reviewers as I find them. I always enjoy something different, such as this. lots of coffee and tea. Food bars were packed quite well, wow. Broth, coffee, and tea looked very good sir. It will take A while, but will look up earlier reviews of yours. Peace, John, Magnum.
Kent Survival Thanks, for the ♡ ! I suppose, the biggest difficulty in determining that, would come from the food blocks, as the rest appear to be off-the-shelf items, from a store.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. I've not had any other complaints about it yet but will certainly consider it, I feel they can feel a little empty without the music.. do you think maybe something more ambient would work?
I think it adds to the video, especially being so quiet it makes it kind of lighthearted and breaks up the silent bits. I vote keep it! You could possibly turn it off for periods of time during the video maybe, might distract from the fact that it's repeating sometimes.
The strange thing about this MRE is that I'd rather starve than rely upon this particular batch of rations. Always assuming that one takes emergency foods out just in case, I'd rather make up a pack that could not only be relied upon as being nourishing, but tasty too. I think that I'm going to have to check out other MRE's too before making any further comments. Cheers, Andy. Take care...

Oxo tip..! Crush the cube while it's still in it's silver wrapper, tear open and sprinkle..lol. I was 56 when I learned this... 😊
Also, 2 survival bars, 1/2 cup hot water, 1 pack whitner, and 1 sugar cube makes a delightful pudding/porridge.
oo, i have some over, may have to try this :) thanks
Nice! Let's get that out on a tray. . .
Steve1989! Love the simple way he says it! First MRE Video I started to watch!
As an emergency item it is awesome. I think they should have included a couple of small flat bricks or jell along with a few matchsticks in it though as it had room, and one half the container could be used to heat the top half if placed perpendicular to it.
I almost bought this ration myself but it got a bit to expensive for me. Awesome that I get to see inside anyway.
Hey, it was a little much for what it is but interesting to see and i get a handy mess kit :) thanks for watching
Very true. That's the big plus the mess kit. Those handles I've seen added to other mre's kids to improve them as well.
Good one Steve!
(I mean Kent...)

Thank you very much :) It was interesting to see inside, will keep an eye out for more like this.. maybe vintage too.
Hi, your oxo cube. If you crush the oxo while still wrapped, then open it, it's a lot easier to open.. Tip for today..! 😀
Kent,
As usual, another fantastic review!
Thank you very much indeed :)
Well done on this, I enjoyed the review, keep them coming.
Thanks very much, another will be along soon :)
Great review. I like the old ration reviews,
Hey, thank you :) me too, gonna keep an eye out for some older rations. ATB
That was cool. Although that clump of coffee made me think of a piece of beef jerky.
jerky would have been a nice addition haha, thanks for watching
Clear and concise. Good job. Subbed.
Thank you, hope you enjoy whats to come! ATB
Very interesting. .good idea to mix the items. ..
It is an interesting little pack, was happy to get it. thank you for watching

Hi, Thank you... Yes, I have seen that review as well.. Loves Steves videos :) ATB
I had a RAAF one in the '80s. Pretty similar excepting brand differences. And no stock cubes or hangers
cool :) they're interesting little things for sure, don't see them up for sale often
Loved video my frend loved watching and listening to u look forward to more 😍💕
Thanks very much :) loads more to come!
Hello Andy looks like aircrew got better than filthy groundcrew like me but we got army rations which ment KENDAL MINT CAKE.

Hi Ron, thank you. I haven't done a ration in a while, I must do one soon, have a few kicking around at the moment, enjoy yours buddy :)
6:26 as soon as you said “Alright, I’m gonna get this out onto a tray,” what word did everyone think he was gonna say next?? If you know, you know :)
You're supposed to mix those cakes with the oxo cube and cook it. Can be eaten by themselves though
brilliant Andy .... really interesting can you do some more from around the world to see which is cordon bleu quality? Off to check out your Russian MRE video Rgds
Thanks.. slowly working my way through the glove haha
Just ordered one of these for myself
they're pretty interesting, and I know they can vary a little, hope you enjoy!
Kent Survival live the ideas that they are mess tins aswell

Thank you :) my reviews are usually outdoors so this one was a little different, happy to have you on board for the journey ATB - Andy
Thank you sir, Peace.
Dear God: It's like the pack is designed to NEED the force of the crash just to open it!
HAHA, I must admit I was trying to be careful but yes.. it's pretty tightly packed in there. Thank you for watching
Greetings from Dover
Hey, Thanks for watching :)
Nice
Can’t waight 😍
You got it out on a tray :D
before I got my mess tray which I prefer :) Thanks for watching
Cannot find on ebay, can you provide a link to it?
I findnit incredably amusing that an RAF survival ration is 1/3 tea and coffee
True.. It should be at least 1/3 Just TEA! haha ;)
This ration is extremely difficult to find, anybody know where can i get a set as well?
The link to the eBay seller I got mine from is in the description, he doesn't have any at the moment but may get them again, I hope that helps
How many calories, in all that? Thanks.
Thats a very good question that I cannot answer I'm afraid, sorry. Thank you for watching

Hi I have subscribed to you
Hi Aiden, thank you very much, Hope you enjoy what is to come.
That background music is unpleasant at 1.75x
I would expect most music is haha
Wtf with the music
I know, I've stopped doing it now due to feedback, thanks for watching
I'd like to be the 588th subscriber...so I shall be!
haha, thank you indeed :)
Good review but that faint repetitive sound is irritating. Ditch that and I will sub.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. I've not had any other complaints about it yet but will certainly consider it, I feel they can feel a little empty without the music.. do you think maybe something more ambient would work?
Your channel, your choice brother. In my opinion no music is needed. Your call.
thanks for the feedback.

Jesus, 3 sugars! 1 should mask the taste enough.
different strokes for different folks, thanks for watching
Quite a pathetic survival ration kit compared to others you’ve reviewed.
Wtf with the crap sound really bad could not watch
Hey, I just gave it a test listen and seemed ok.. speaker / headphones maybe?
