Yeh that is probably the biggest lesson we learned on one of our other visits, its a lovely view but their is no escaping if the wind picks up. Hope it didn't put you off going back.

My family went to shell island and we made the mistake of camping at the highest point of a hill, safe to say our tent got ruined by the wind😂
