Thank you so much for this video. I bought my shampooer a little over a year ago. Used it one time, disassembled and cleaned it for storage. Got it out last month and brushes wouldn't turn at all. Just like yours, the fan was locked. Thanks for helping me save my 200 buck investment.
You're awesome literally had this very problem. Thanks to you it's finished. Keep it up, I love the energy you had in the video, I didn't even realize I was really captivated until the middle of it when I realized I should start fixing my own haha
Hi sir thank you I was able to open my hoover spin and scrub I discovered in the turban the fin broke off from the bearings Is there any way I could fix it
First of all you did great. Unfortunately the turbine is not available for sale anymore. It’s still possible to find replacements on eBay- It’s a gamble but It may be the only option for repair- Shops can’t buy that part anymore (at least not at this time)
Also you need a head set for your camera, unless youre using your phone. That would free up your hands! Im sure you thought of that, im saying fyi😊 I also see you answere alot of the comments. Thats so awesome of you to take the time!
I have a similar machine and the brushes will not spin. I followed the procedure you described but the brushes will not spin under power. But they spin freely when I turn them by hand. Any suggestions?
I've seen three of these in my neighborhood at the curb. I grabbed one for parts. That turbine is junk. I have taken it apart to clean it and free up the bearings several times. The pump works great through. Makes a great unit for only cleaning furniture with the accessory hose. Just remove the handle assembly and tubbing and just use it for suction and apply your own solution for scrubbing.
I had taken off the brushes and cleaned them, and put them back on , now it won't suck up water, and the brushes are not spinning. I have no idea how to get it apart to get to the parts inside. You start the video with it already apart. I see there are 2 screws in the top section when you tilt the handle back and have removed the tanks. I took those 2 screws out, but can't figure out how it comes apart. Are there screws on the bottom? I couldn't see any. Thanks!! Thanks to your video, I know what to do once inside!
First test the water tank press the insert tote bottom of the tank. See if the water pours out when you press. If it does then tank is probably not the i issue. Leo check the trigger . If the trigger presses down the we move to the next thing. See all my videos on the subject. See my Hoover playlist
This is an issue when there is no physical connection transmitting torque and mechanical energy via a belt or gears and you're sacrificing downward pressure of the brushes. Next time you have the cleaner on the carpet, see how easy it is to push the brush assembly upwards. There's no resistance whatsoever. It's like using a manual scrub brush to clean a surface. You push down harder if the surface is filthy. The only pressure pushing downward of the machine is the weight of the brush assembly which is nothing. The result is a loud machine because of the turbine that does not clean very well.

Yes!!! That’s why I do this. Thanks for sharing .
Thank you for this!! With your help, I deconstructed the assembly, cleaned up a bunch of rust, I seized the fan, and everything started working again!
Excellent- comments like these make the effort worth it. Thanks for sharing

Hi what's the difference between the Hoover's last model Elite vs the Xl

Hello that's my problem with my shampoooer the solution is not coming out I think it's clogged can I take the back off the water bucket? Help

I got it to spin before putting the cover back on, but once i put the cover on it doesn't spin! What could be wrong?
Check for a clogged filter in the front cover
