MOSASAURUS SOCIAL ANIMATIONS! & All The Update 8 News | Jurassic World Evolution 2
ABOUT JURASSIC WORLD EVOLUTION 2
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the much-anticipated sequel to Frontier’s highly successful Jurassic World Evolution, building upon the groundbreaking and immersive 2018 management simulation. It introduces a compelling, new narrative campaign, incredible new features, and awe-inspiring new dinosaurs brought to life with captivating authenticity. Together with expanded construction and more customisation options, the result is an even bigger, better and authentic Jurassic World game.
For Adventure!
Some nice little QOL updates in here. I feel like the pack chase mechanic might make more sense against other dinosaurs, rather than against the goat. So if they're all chasing down a Gallimimus, and the Gallimimus is managing to avoid one of the hunters, maybe it makes a turn and finds itself caught by one of the others. So they don't necessarily need assistance in the take-down, but they can offer assistance in actually making sure someone catches the prey they're chasing?
Feels more like the ones who join in want to catch the prey for themselves rather than aid the hunter.
Oh finally, now *_ALL_* the marine animals are sociable little bunnies! 😁👍
That is one phrase I never expected to hear used to describe a mosasaur lol
@@jurassicswine
Yeah, mosasaurs were actually solitary and quite fiercely territorial in real life, right?
@@awesomeproductions7755yeah there’s a lot of fossil evidence of them attacking each other/other species of mosasaur
Now we wait for flying reptiles
I looked over the patch notes and there wasn’t any mention of this. Still very happy the two mosasaurs got socials!
WHY ARE YOU EVERYWHERE I GO?
@@maximaldinotrap there is no escape
What Chris Pratt meant when he said he wanted to see more of the Mosa in Jurassic World 4…😂
An aviary dlc with flying creature social animations would be 🔥
That should be a free update
@@Nightmarionne-FNaF well the social animations probably would be, but I think what they're saying is that like with the Prehistoric Marine Species Pack, they would release alongside a hypothetical "Prehistoric Avian Species Pack".
Omg I'd live a sort of mini aviary DLC with microraptor, archeopteryx, etc.
Lots of comments about the transporting - I suspect in the past you could queue up lots of transporta with multi select but couldnt do so with the regular teansport tool?
Edit: read the replies for the actual answer!
They mean being able to queue up creatures for transport from all hatchery slots all at once. Previously, you had to wait until all creatures were extracted from one hatchery slot before being able to transport creatures from the other hatchery slots.
I believe it's referring to helicopter transport from the hatchery bays - previously if you chose 'release via airlift' you had to wait for transport to complete on that bay before queuing up the next bay
I think the transport helicopter thing was already a thing but after the update I can't tell anymore
They mean being able to queue up creatures for transport from all hatchery slots all at once. Previously, you had to wait until all creatures were extracted from one hatchery slot before being able to transport creatures from the other hatchery slots.
yeah it was already in game because ive transported like 20 edmontosaurus queued up
Fantastic update, as usual.
Now if only the Tylosaurus could eat the shark :(
The Mosa animation is so cute, and the Tylo one makes me laugh~
Some nice little updates in there, too. Thanks for keeping us in the loop, BIS!
Honestly, I kind of like the fact that Mosasaurus didn't have social animations as it would fit with what we know about the real animal. That it was most likely territorial and likely killed each other more often than being friendly but it's still cool to see Frontier update them.
it literally socialized with whales in the movie but okay
Eh, every single animal in the game has social animations - if that had been a consistent thing sure, but I don't see any need to keep them from Mosa really. And hey, they had to mate some time
In the Tylosaurus social it nips at the other so there’s that. And as stated above they didn’t want to murder each other _all_ the time… just most the time.
Just pretend the two Mosas are mates simple, also more content is more content
@@BestInSlotGaming Eh, true that. Also... technically the pterosaurs don't have social animations. They have interactions with other species but not with their own kind so....
I swear that I have been able to cue up dino transport before in the past, as there has certainly been times I have ordered entire packs of 10+ compys to be moved round my park.
yeah same
They mean being able to queue up creatures for transport from all hatchery slots all at once. Previously, you had to wait until all creatures were extracted from one hatchery slot before being able to transport creatures from the other hatchery slots.
@@Sounder1995 Oh, that is great change! Thanks for the clarification!
I don't mind the pitched down raptor sounds for the Utahraptor.
Its impressive how frontier keeps give us what we want even if they are ""struggling"" these times, i dont like companies but i really appreciate people who work there ❤
Hey Bestinslot just popped out my first batch of Utahraptors and I realised I don't think you tested the hunt animation for Lystrosaurus and boy is it cool!
Tylosaurus: Did you eat my shark?
Tylosaurus 2: No *Nibbling on a piece of shark*
Tylosaurus 1: YOU SON OF A - *Nips him multiple times*
Slot what do you think about doing another re review, game is I think in the best stage rn, it would be perfect for 2yrs of the game?
Is anyone else experiencing a thing where synthesis says you can’t modify genomes?
(This was fixed after re entering the
Hatchery but keeps occuring)
Additionally attempting to change body variants makes the screen quit out
2:54 - bop!
One problem I have noticed is after update 6 fixed the glitch where helicopters get stuck on each other when you choose to release several dinosaurs via airlift, with this update the glitch is happening again.
Definitely curious what people find within the next few days, this patch just keeps getting better and better.
Now we have the Washington campaign map in sandbox! You access to it by choosing the prebuild layout.
Acro and mabye giga should pack hunt too since we know they were very social.
Mosas now has socials? 🤩🤩
I think the chasing is like we have a better chance catching this together by not letting it get away from us even if only one of us will get to eat it kinda like how badgers and coyotes hunt together.
Much like the helicopters picking up the Dinos in a queue more than 5, the 2nd to the on screen bottom fix is fantastic for mixed enclosures. Always ridiculous when the dinos constantly flee when fucking dying of thirst. Would be great if Frontier expanded on the multiple group hunt mechanic further indeed!
The transport thing isn't new?
On Tuesday, i used the multiselect transport to move the 10 or so Compies on the Southwest USA map in a queue.
Based on the list, it looks like they may have separated the social preds into two groups: Pack Hunt and Pack Chase. Those that can actually team up on a single prey already had a group movement animation.
Just thought of this, and maybe it's been done already, but what about putting single fencing pieces inside raptor habitats? Would they climb them? Could be interesting. Too bad I don't have the game installed currently.
The feeder change is good because if you click on the feeder with it locked it will take you to the research in the research screen.
The transport thing wasn’t quite what you said cuz you’ve always been able to queue more than 5 at a time, even while there’s only 5 helicopters. I think what it really means is that you can queue up multiple bays to move different batches at a time.
It’s kind of a shame the T rex didn’t get the pack chase behaviour, seeing as does heaps of evidence to suggest they hunted in small family units
Hey bestinslot but do you think you could also ask if they can add sauropods going up on their hind legs to either defend them selves or each other up on top of trees
thats awesome to see...one thing i want tho...i'm aware they said hybrids wont be appearing in jwe2, but i want cmoooooon give us a hybrid pack PLS.
I HAD A FEELING THEY WOULD ADD IT! I commented last time but that was just a hunch
I believe the reason why small carnivores such as Velociraptors, Dilos, etc. is cause they already have their pack hunting mechanics in the game. From what I can see on the list are the “smedium” & small carnivores that don’t have that mechanic on them, so Frontier must’ve thought this pack chasing behavior for them.
NOTE: I haven’t tested if Utahraptor has pack hunting animations against others, but being similar to creatures such as Australovenator makes sense to me
Utahraptor doesn't pack hunt, it does have the pack chase though.
They have pack hunting, but they wouldn't all chase a goat together etc. which seems odd since these ones have it
Carno would’ve been really cool to have with the pack-chase mechanic.
Frontier just took these monsters and made them cute little puppies
Hey I got a shout out 😅. It was completely on accident that i found this animation.
specifically i would have loved to have pack chasing be one giga, carchar, and acro, as it is belived that large charcarodontsaurids would have had some form of group hunting behavior
However I am very disappointed that the Tylosaurus is still not able to eat sharks like the Kronosaurus and the Dunkleosteus
Can utahraptor hunt pterosaurs though?
You know what i wanna see? Flyers actually walking and running around rather than just sitting there like they cant walk, like id love to see a quetz run down something
they didn't give Allosaurus Varient the Dominion/BABR roars
Did shonisaurus alreday have one then??? Cause I just saw it for the first time today…
You’ve been able to queue up more than 5 Dinosaurs at a time ever since they added the multi-transport tool bro, you can even transport several different species at once.
I think it means doing it individually. Ie you could select 5, and then one individually now. Whereas in the last it was only multi transport?
@@BestInSlotGaming No, what it means is that you can queue up multiple airlift releases of different clutches from the hatchery at the same time. What you're doing in the video was always possible, but you did need to wait for a clutch of Dinosaurs to finish being airlifted from the hatchery before scheduling a second clutch to be airlifted.
apparently concavanator can eat compies???
More original Jurassic Park decor please ;)
So will the next dlc be a cretaceous herbivore pack with microceratus and a free update with a river cruise ?
Sad Utah has no pack hunt
Hope one day you will enable subtitles for your videos 🥰🥰 cheers
I'm saying this the tylo needs a animation redo cause it's so stiff!
Dissapointed that Giganotosaurus didn't get pack animations given their close relative Mapusaurus has evidence of pack hunting.
why is tylo so stiff compared to the other aquatics? they could have done a better rigging work, the torso seems like it's like 2 segments only, and the tail is too stiff
This is cool
Nice for the Mosasaurus
But make since for the Tylosaurus since mosasaur species are known to been has cannibal
Tylosaurus?
Also in the video
It's almost like how modern whales rub and nuzzles up
Wow. Mosasaurus did a reference to Free in which how Haruka was nudging Rin's chin while swimming like how the two did. Tylosaurus on the other hand, jus did a reference to Diary of Our Days at The Breakwater which it almost bites the other's fin like how Hina is trying nibble Yuki's finger as she tries to study. That was hilarious. Yes, it's true by the way. Two male dinosaurs did behaviors as scientists believe that because Free is an LGBTQ anime.
I’ll be honest: I have zero clue what you’re referencing, but I *highly* doubt it was the inspiration for a Jurassic World game. The animation is probably based on modern day animals. I don’t want to be rude, but this really sounds like a stretch to put it mildly.
Referencing how the Mosasaurus and the Tylosaurus finally do anime references. There was another Free reference in Life On Our Planet like the Pliosaurus.
@@rogelioreyes79the animations are almost certainly not an anime reference. It’d honestly just be a strange creative choice to base the behavior of a mosasaur off an anime. The Mosasaurus nudging is much more likely based on the behavior of whales than of two anime girls.
@@user-eh3ve6nt2t wdym it makes perfect sense to base the interactions of giant marine reptiles off of kawaii anime girls
@@user-eh3ve6nt2t every good paleo-enthusiast knows to look to anime for inspiration when it comes to extinct animal behavior
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
I like pliesio
They look like big whales when they rub against each other
Hoping the next update gives T. rex unique animations
Boo scared you
First :3

Fix spinosaurus size😢
Mosa is now a certified cutie patootie
