Yeah, that's my only complaint about the automated hatcheries, not being able to choose how you're dinos look would be really annoying, like what if you trying to go for a specific theme like Jurassic Park or Jurassic World or something else, you can't make your dinos match that theme you're going for, so I hope they change this in the future.
I think it might just be using the default gene mod? I don't know why you can't change that in automation but it could be a weird finicky oversight since BIS has random on for basically everything
I love the auto hatchery function. One of my biggest annoyance’s in this game where that sometimes you would have these dinosaurs that need to be in big groups otherwise the get upset and break out and all that stuff. So when you made a couple of them and then one died the rest would get upset and ruin everything. Now the hatchery just makes new ones ❤
Yes, but decorations can only get us so far. I really want a Park based expansion. Give us more mechanics and attractions, like rides, pools, guest activities, etc

Solid update this go around. Wish we got some more of the model variants (will never be satisfied until I can stop using the JW Trike) but I’m glad we got some of them at all.
Epic showcase and showing what to expect in this update. It's really nice to get more new decorations and more animations for certain creatures here. Can't wait to play this game again once the game updated and I manage to get the Predator DLC pack when it's released.

Same. At least the JWE Triceratops has decent patterns and colors which would be great with the JP variant....I will probably basically never use the JWE Stegosaurus again. Aside from the plates the skin was boring. The colors and patterns with the JP model are fantastic. Same with the Pteranodon.

@@tysdogvlogs6697 yeah it’s really bad. I made a massive aquatic park I was extremely proud of only for the game to decide I can’t play on it anymore. Every time I try to load the save the game crashes. All that progress and hard work lost
@@fluffyturtle471 it’s crazy because you would think next gen consoles could handle this, I’ve been so upset about it for months. I have to watch everyone else make the best parks on square maps while I can’t even build anything massive. And because not many people are having this issue, I don’t think frontier will ever notice

Nothing killing this game for me more than the lack of unique Dinosaur animations, they STILL haven't changed the fight animation where the losing dino just ragdolls after being bitten... Even JWE1 had at least a full animation for a fight kill, JWE2 should have 3 or 4 unique kill animations for each species..
oh the new stegosaurus body variant feels so good, I mean I think the pattern is a little odd but it's not the 50s esque beast of a JW Stegosaurus, I love the TLW stego
I hope this means in future updates that all the other skin locked body morph dinos will get their own skins. The JW3 Giga, the classic jurassic park films skins, the JW3 Para, and the camp cretaceous stuff getting more skins would be fantastic, same with the feather T-rex.
I might be incorrect, as I haven't played in a while, but I believe the Dominion Giga and the Camp Cretaceous Ouranosaurus and Kentrosaurus have their own sets of skins as well. I think I remember seeing that in a past update.
I really don't like that the automated hatcheries don't let you pick the cosmetics. I like picking specific skins based on sexual dimorphism, especially when i'm creating sand box maps based on extinct ecosystems.. This is such a disappointment i was really looking forward to this feature.

NGL it sucks that the benches and picnic tables are still unusable by guests, JPOG and Zoo Tycoon 2 both nailed that over 20 years ago This is bare minimum stuff Frontier, this isn't something unachievable in the game engine like breeding or something
There are guests sitting on benches and tables already on things like the arrival points and amenities. Idk why they couldn't add those animations on the decorative benches ?? I know it was just a quick way to add a much requested decoration, but parks will still look empty with empty benches lying around
this update is a bit disappointing, we had better updates that are more grander and content filled, this one is just minor changes, when theres new features, theres always a negative thats a deal breaker like not editing your dinosaurs in auto-hatchery mode and pack hunting is just fake hunting to give the illusion of pack hunting. i think frontier are slowly realising they cannot do much more with this game now, i think its time to do jwe3
Someone did mention that this game is already hitting the glass ceiling and can't really do too much outside of releasing more species packs. I agree that we're going to need a jwe 3 at some point down the line and hopefully we will get the rest of the features and or mechanics that everyone is asking for.
I'm hoping they slightly changed the sizes of brachiosaurus, stegosaurus and allosaurus to make them either bigger or smaller than there regular skins cause it night to pretend the smaller sizes are babys or juveniles for us console players

Now with these new variants I’m hoping they end up making the feathered T. Rex a variant instead of just a skin.

The pack-chasing is very nice because it makes some animals way more interesting. The Coelophysis could use it for example.
