New boss run from me. I wanted to record something from this game for some time but only recently tested how it runs on emulator. So after learning that Citra actually runs the game quite well and without major glitches I decided to record some boss fights.
I decided to skip most of minibosses and only recorded those fights with them that were more or less interesting for me. Basically, only few miniboss fights in castle ended up in the video. All boss fights that happen after receiving the master sword were recorded without having full health and also I never upgraded the weapon. The only exception is Gramps fight which was accessed from a different save file: I used everything I had available there.
Well, I hope you like this video. This is a very good entry in series and it quickly became one of my favorite Zelda games. I recommend you to play it.

Good to see you are doing well!
Also : the Gramps battle reminds me of Abobo's adventure! 😂 Overpowered grandpa! I knew it wasn't just to help that he stays in the dungeons depth! Mess with him and you are f***ed !🤣

A shame they only utilized the classic boss theme from ALttP for two boss fights. :(

Ok, so apparently Citra can make a 3DS game look like a Switch game

Nice normal boss remix! Also, I always love the Hylian dungeon music. This one, too.

Hey Shadowserg, I love watching your no damage boss battle. I've watched some of your STG boss battle, as a fan of bullet hell series Touhou Project, I suggest you to Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. It's the first Touhou game on Windows platform and the first game for newcomers to play, it would be nice to watch you defeat bosses on Lunatic difficulty. Thank you.

I thought Hilda was the villain as soon as i saw the first cut-scene you get after defeating a boss in Lorule with her talking to the portrait of Zelda, And i was right about her being the villain

Beat this earlier this month. WOuld've done it sooner but 1) my charging cord disappeared on me for some time with how insane this household's been for about a year, and 2) my older nephew borrowed my cartridge for some time and I just about had to twist that slacker's arm to get it back... >:(

I loved this game. It's my favorite Zelda game I've ever played. Even better than ALttP and especially any 3D Zelda game(BotW couldn't even come close if it wasn't for being too overambitious due the infamous Korok Seed Collecting, the infuriating rain mechanics, lacking boss variety, lacking story due to the fact that you have the option to go the final dungeon without doing the main dungeons, mediocre & unnecessary voice acting, and especially the disappointing Ganon fight.). Not even Link's Awakening Switch couldn't come close due to having too much issues especially the underwhelming boss battles. Moldorm of Link's Awakening(No matter which version) being a horrible 1st boss due to having the design mentality of ALttP and the Game Boy original. And the rest of the boss battles of that remake was a joke except for the final battle. As you can tell from my 2D Zelda opinion, Link's Awakening no matter which version doesn't match the greatness of ALttP or ALBW. Oh sure after the 1st dungeon & getting all the rented items from Ravio, you have free reign around Hyrule. But I can say that for those first timers, go after House of Gales first then Tower of Hera. Because trust me, Moldorm should be saved for last due to it's erratic pattern. At least in this game compared to ALttP & Link's Awakening(No matter which version), you can still continue the battle even after falling off the arena since the damage you give to Moldorm has been kept. That's how the battle should be thus much more fair than any other 2D Zelda. With Lorule, you have the ability go anywhere you choose assuming if you bought all the items from Ravio. The only exception is the Desert Palace which requires beating Theives' Hideout just to gain access to Sand Rod from Ravio. I can understand why Desert Palace was a bit harder than most of the Lorule Dungeons and especially Zaganaga being more annoying than any other bosses. But you still have to go to Desert Palace just to get Titan's Mitts for completion sake without too much backtracking. And because Ice Ruins were almost as frustrating as the Ice Palace of ALttP, I highly recommend going after it for last after doing everything especially getting the overpowered Great Spin Attack from Mother Maiamai after getting 100 Maiamais. Overall, even after around 6 years since the game's release, it aged very well in terms of everything gameplay especially with a much better control scheme than Link's Awakening Switch's awkward 8 directional movement being hard-mapped to the control stick. While the boss battles are not as grand as most 3D Zelda games, at least it's better than any other 2D Zelda games. Besides, ALttP & Link's Awakening(No matter what version) have some outdated design(THAT GODFORSAKEN MOLDORM FIGHT THAT I CAN NEVER ACCEPT AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON MOTHULA FROM ALTTP) and most boss battles was mostly tame compared to ALBW. True, the boss battles of ALBW is mostly easy, but it's in the right difficulty progression compared to Link's Awakening where shoved Moldorm as a frustrating first boss. At least the fight against Yuga Ganon is miles better than the lameass Calamity Ganon.
BTW, if you're wondering why there's no echoing effects, blame the emulation. Emulation always makes the game loses perfection.
