    You should do another list but specific to certain categories, such as:
    * Easiest to travel to
    * Friendliest people
    * Best food
    * Most comfortable climate
    * Cheapest round-trip
    * Most kid-friendly
    * Most obscure geography
    * Most obscure natural phenomena
    * Most obscure culture
    and so on. Seems you already covered a few of these in your list.

    So glad to see the Seven Sisters on this list. I'm not from the North East of India but it is visually beautiful. Most tourists don't even know about it and only visit places like.Varanasi and Dehli. North East India is Amazing. Goa , Kerela and Andaman and Nicobar islands are pretty cool too

    I'm so glad you included inner Russia! People just tend to forget that place is actually inhabited, and not only by Russians.
    I also get your fascination with Turkics. Those guys are real badasses. My profession drives me mostly to the Finno-Ugric republics especially in the Volga-Kama region, and that's also oh-so-unique in terms of culture and diversity.
    I really like your attitude towards travel. That's how it's done right. I spend a lifetime struggle trying to explain to people how incomparably more meaningful and fulfilling it is to take part in a village celebration, put on regional costume, get invited for dinner, do some household work and be a long-lasting memory to those people that might have just seen the first foreigner in their lives, than visiting the Eiffel Tower, or the Taj Mahal. Especially among those people who are often be ashamed of their heritage. Turkics aren't, but Finno-Ugrics tend to.
    So much thanks for this channel! It's hands down one of the best at TH-cam.

    • @xenotypos
      @xenotypos 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      "how incomparably more meaningful and fulfilling"
      Can't you express what you like without judging what other people happen to prefer?
      I couldn't care less about about meeting some tribes but I totally respect those who only dream of doing that. People are all "fullfilled" by different kind of things, and if they can't understand your feelings, you also can't understand their. I love history and architecture so I'd prefer different kind of places because they are more "fullfilling" for me, because I can understand the value of those places and everything that happened there. It's not in any way inferior to any other motive.

    • @szederlekvar
      @szederlekvar 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      If you can be completely driven away by the culture and atmosphere of even the touristiest places, then it's good for you and I envy your skill. That is also a thing that not many people ever experience.
      Sometimes it's just nice to broaden your perspective. Se how life was a long time ago. Or in an other way of thinking. That's travel, and if you get that feeling from wherever, it's worth it.
      Sorry if you got me wrong. The only thing I'm judging is shallow tourism, and only because I can't help thinking those people are missing out on life.

    OMG! BRAZIL IS ON THE LIST! Lençóis Maranhenses is not a big touristic destination, because it's hard to get there, but reeeeally worth it! If you have time, you can go to state of Ceará and visit the charming village of Jericoacoara, with sand streets and almost no internet, sorrounded by dunes, beaches and a crystalline water lagoon called Lagoa Azul (blue lagoon). The Brazilian northeastern coast is a-m-a-z-i-n-g and if you can, come here in February, it's when we have our carnival, and every state has their own dances and music. Our Northeastern region is filled with great landscapes, beaches, dunes, lagoons, different cultures, atmospheres and everything!!!! 🇧🇷
    PLEASE COME TO BRAZIL!!!

    In most things I agree with you, but I really LOVE the cold - like - I'd rather make a trip around sibiria, kamtchatca, alska, canada, greenland and scandinavia than having all-inclusive holiday a year long in the carribean. I like warm weather and beaches and all that too, but I like cold and visually amazing landscapes FAR more.

    I've been to Greenland, it is amazing. Whilst you're on the area I'd recommend crossing the Davis Strait to Nunavut.
    I did Kangerlussuaq up through Sisimuit, Ilulissat, and Uummannaq. Eventually we crossed the Davis Strait to Sirmilik National Park and Pond Inlet Nunavut. We went though a lot of Lancaster Sounder before hitting up Beechey Island for a visit to the a camp from the famed lost Franklin Expedition before jumping over to Resolute for a fly home to southern Canada. Amazing journey.

      But is it safe to visit North African countries like Libya, Tunisia or Algeria right now? I mean if you don't want to stay in your 5 star hotel all day, and want to explore the country or go off grid...

    • @olavsanchez909
      @olavsanchez909 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tunisia should be pretty safe, and Algeria too I was told is safe. I also heard Morocco ha friendly friendly people. At least that's what a family member of mine experienced when he went to all these three countries

    • @johannak1983
      @johannak1983 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Norvegian Vikingz I'm not talking about the people. Obviously they are friendly and cool like just anywhere. But after all that instability and wars in the area, I was wondering if things got back to normal now. Because unfortunately the situation in a country doesn't depend that much on the residents, rather than the leaders or the ones in power.
      I'm a young (well not that young! I'm 33) female that likes to travel and explore a lot, so I want to know if I'm safe crossing those countries on my own or with friends, not like a stereotypical tourist, but more like a curious traveller that doesn't follow "traditional" or popular routes in countries.

    • @ahmedmresa
      @ahmedmresa 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +joanna_k unfortunately "Right now" Libya is not safe to visit. Not at all. if you follow the news you'd know that there's A civil war going on 😧
      however Algeria,Morocco and Tunisia All should be fine.

    • @johannak1983
      @johannak1983 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ahmed Mresa I try watching the news as much as I can, but living in Greece we are more informed about Syria and the Middle East, because of all the refugee and immigrant waves. I wasn't sure if there was still a civil war in Libya, I apologise...
      Besides, I don't trust western news so much, because sometimes they exaggerate things according to various interests (they always tend to present Arab or muslim countries as "risky" or "unsafe" or "unstable", which is usually not the case).
      I hope things end well for all of the people of Libya as soon as possible. I'll definitely pay a visit afterwards.

    Hey Barby, I live in São Luis and I've been to Barreirinhas (a tourist city which you can use as gateway to Lençois Maranhenses) twice and the lençois once, and it really is a special place. It's not that hard to get there, but it's worth it. If you ever go, make sure you go during the rainy season because the lagoons that fill on rain water get full and you can even see small fish swimming.

    Countries that I have been :
    10. France : OK, you might be surprised why it is so low on this list but there is a reason for it. I live nearby France (Switzerland) so it is not that exotic for me. Places except Paris I would advise : Bordeaux, Nice and Lyon.
    9. Ethiopia: I went there when I was a bit over 10 to visit my dad who worked there. It is a nice place, more exotic than Europe and with many things to see (even though we were only in the capital)
    8. Germany: Like France, Germany is not that exotic for me. But something that I have to give to Germany is Berlin, which is probably one of my favorite city in the world (tight with Brussels). Cologne is really nice during Christmas :)
    7. Tanzania: If you want to do a safari consider this country (Dar es Salam) is a perfect place to do it.
    6. Spain: Lovely memories there but the thing is, it is too touristy during the summer and the charm goes off.
    5. Greece: I hope I will go back to discover more islands and visit the mainland. It is really relaxing but I advise you to go with a group of friends, it's more fun.
    4. Tunisia: Lovely place in North Africa (I would say the safest with Morocco) and a very good mix of European, Berber and Arab culture.
    3. Belgium / Netherlands: I've been living here in Amsterdam for almost a year now and I can tell you it is a really good city along with Ghent, Brugge and Brussels :)
    2. Croatia: Probably my favorite country in Europe. Go to the coast during Summer (Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik) not too crowdy (yet) but it is becoming more popular among tourist ! And check the Christmas market in Zagreb !
    1. Japan: It was a dream come true when I came to Japan. The food, the sights, nature and the things to see. It's a trip of a lifetime

The only countries outside the U.S. (my home) that I've been to are Canada, Mexico, and the Czech Republic. This is my top ten list of places I want to go: (Note: It's NOT in any particular order)
      1. Singapore
      2. Iceland
      3. Faroe Islands
      4. Nigeria
      5. Georgia
      6. Japan

      9. Jamaica
      10. Russia

    As a Scot, Yeh the hebrides are pretty special (check out the Fairy pools and cullin mountains on Skye) but you should also come onto the mainland and see Argyll - particularly Glencoe, it's breathtaking! Plus nearby Rannoch Moor is where the last major European ice age started from.
    I totally get Greenland but my dream destination is, if anything, even more remote. The Kerguelen islands (part of the French southern and Antarctic lands). They are located pretty much equidestinatly from Antarctica, South Africa and Australia and where once known as the Desolation islands. There is no airport, a ship calls twice a year and there's no port so you have to use a helicopter to get from the ship to the only inhabited place on the islands. That place is 'Port-aux-Fracais' and it's a scientific research station and observatory. That's it, the rest is untamed wilderness.

By the way, your family comes from Mol-isn't ahahah (recurring joke in Italy, look for it, you may find it interesting). Also, I didn't understand if you got it but the picture you showed is a monument to the people who died for the contry (normally it's related to the world wars), you can find it in every town of Italy. Nonetheless it's most probable you are gonna find some ancient relatives of yours.

    The Patagonia is one of the most beautiful places in the world! I live in Argentina and visited Patagonia in December (Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut and Santa Cruz), and I felt in love!
