You are over analyses the song, it is a compilation of three songs Freddie Mercury had been working on, the first one for nearly ten years by the time of the recording. The only part not written by Freddie was the guitar solo which was written by Brian May. The voices are all real, no such thing as auto-tune or CGI, on the video, back in 1975. The initial harmonies are just Freddie Mercury who over dubbed himself at least 5 times. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_Rhapsody

The guartist Dr Brian May could not afford a guitar when he was a kid. SO He and Dad made that guitar out of parts around his house when he was a teen. He calls it The Red Special. He still uses it to this day. Priceless.

Actually he's now Sir Brian May. Not only is he using his home made guitar but also using a "Deacy Amp" an amplifier designed and built by John Deacon the bass guitarist and electronics engineer.

Just think about how this blew our minds in 1975. I was 14 and considering the tech we had back then this was a mindblowing video. Heck we didn't have video back then. This is like 6 years before MTV even existed. We had radio, records, live or prerecorded live performances on tv and live concerts.

I watched an interview with Freddie about the meaning behind this song. Many people speculated that he did a crime. His response was, “it’s a metaphor about his sexuality”. He was struggling for many years about his sexuality. According to Freddie, it’s him killing a man is actually him. So he can accept the fact that he’s bisexual/ homosexuality. Freddie is much beloved.
Great reaction to a legendary band. Go see the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. His 2 band mates, put a lot of efforts into their journey & Freddies life, RIP. Glad you liked it

No. Freddie did not tell anybody what the song was about. He told that it was three songs he could not finish som he just put them together. "True poesi is for the listener". I think it's really good because it allows people to find there own meaning for the song and lyrics. Not everything had to be about his sexual orientation.

Enjoyed your reaction. This song is often voted the best rock and roll song ever - the video has 1.4 Billion views on TH-cam alone. Queen is the legendary British rock band and is celebrating their 50th year this year. Each band member wrote hit songs and each had at least one #1 hit song. No other band can claim that.Their song catalogue is extensive and they recorded songs in many different genres. Their music never disappoints. Suggest you react to Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow 1974, Another One Bites the Dust official video and We Will Rock You, official video or live at Wembley 1986.

Fantastic reaction! Bohemian Rhapsody was written like an tragic opera, it has 5 sections that corresponds to the 5 stages of grieve. It starts of with an existential crises, next we hear the story, the operatic middle section is a trial for his soul between heaven and hell, and he becomes angry with his situation in the rock section, in the coda he finally accepts his fate. The song was written and composed by lead singer Freddie Mercury. Bohemian Rhapsody has often been voted as the best song of all time it is also one of the best selling songs of all time, it has appeared on the top of charts in 3 different decades, in 1975, 1992 & 2018. The song is very complex with 49 different cords compared to popular music today which usually have between 1 - 4 different cords, the song also has over 180 vocal overdubs, which was very difficult to record in the 70's.
Queen is the second best selling rock band behind The Beatles and the 4th best selling artists of all time overall.
They are a very unique and diverse band that did practically any genre of music, you very likely know some their other songs such as We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Another One Bites The Dust and Under Pressure.
Lead singer Freddie Mercury is most often voted as the best vocalist and frontman of all time. Brian May and John Deacon are always counted under the top 10 best guitarist and bass players receptively, and drummer Roger Taylor is known as one of the best singing drummers. Queen is the only band where each member had written a no.1 hit. I suggest you check out Somebody To Love from Queen for something very different and more gospel like. Queen produced a few epics throughout their career, another epic song with different sections to check out is Innuendo - Queen, this is another masterpiece.
Bohemian Rhapsody also features the first real music video, it was the first video that was strictly made for promotion.

4 different people in the beginning but, suprisingly, it's just one voice singing those particular harmonies. Freddie Mercury multi-tracked himself for that opening. Let me introduce you the Queen: Freddie Mercury the lead singer and pianist, Brian May the guitarist, John Deacon the bassist and Roger Taylor the drummer, they all were highly graduated, Freddie was graphic designer, Brian is an astrophysicist, John is an electronic engineer and Roger a biologist and of course they were great musicians. Queen is the most versatile rock band, they wrote their own stuff in several genres from rock to jazz, to pop, etc. about 200 songs. Freddie never took singing lessons, but his powerful and emotional performances are still legendary.
There are several theories about the meaning of the song, but Freddie never explained his lyrics and especially not this one, it remains his secret forever.

One of the greatest rock voices ever RIP. He never explained the meaning of the lyrics but remember, he was homosexual and died from complications of AIDS. At the start, if you view the gun as a metaphor for ‘something else’, the song takes on a whole new meaning. RIP Freddie. And yes, that’s how we partied back in the day. Concerts weren’t contrived and half prerecorded like they are today. And believe it or not back then you could go to a dozen or so concerts featuring the best bands in the world every summer because tickets were less than $20 each.

Oh, and the guitarist is Brian May, an astrophysicist in real life. The Song is from the Night At The Opera album, hence the operatic sound. 😁

This is the early 70s so the four members of the band were indeed probably standing next to each other. They are four different guys, each is a member of the band. From bottom going clockwise: Freddy Mercury: Lead singer. John Deacon: bassist. Brian May: Guitar. Roger Taylor: Drums.

No one ever really gets this song at first. Unless you know Queen , Freddie Mercury and his backstory. This song is VERY metaphorical. In other words , he is not really saying that he killed someone. The song itself is about his sexuality . Back in the 70's Freddie knew he was Gay, and the thing that terrified him most was coming out to his family, who were of a Very conservative Mideastern religion. So the person He kills is the OLD Freddie, and he is about to be reborn as the Freddie that he knows he really is . The (OPERATIC) section is the battle within him fighting back and forth . The fear of not knowing if he will be shunned by his Family and wondering if he will ruin his career by coming out. Watch the Movie with Rami Malek portraying the life of Freddie. The film is called "Bohemian Rhapsody" It may not be chronologically accurate. But it does a good job of displaying Freddie's life and how so often he was taken advantage of .This song is considered the greatest achievement in rock Pop history. This band was to Pop Rock music , what Mozart was to classical. Unequaled in talent even to this day. These guys wrote many masterpieces that you probably have heard like We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Another One Bites The Dust, Dont Stop Me now , Somebody to Love ..and on and on ..BY THE WAY , I love your honest and real reaction.

All the harmonies are done in the studio by recording each vocal track separate and then dumping them onto 2 tracks making it stereo. Then just adding more and more until he gets the desired effect. That's what makes it so Big. He's telling his mama that HE killed a man. Because he says pulled my trigger...

Oh just and FYI here if you haven't been told this. This was recorded before they had auto tune. So this is strictly Queen in the RAW as it were. That is another thing that makes Queen and this song timeless.

Oh! And Brian May, guitarist, now Sir Brian May, was knighted by the King of England not long ago. He also got his degree in college and is an astrophysicist. Brian is ace!

No one is prepared for their first time hearing this song. I heard it when it came out and it just was one more amazing song of the time. So much good music from the 70's.
I have been listening to reactions to this song recently. And something you said makes me realize why. You said this kind of stuff really happens to people. Well, a student at a school I teach at sometimes was just accidentally killed when he and his cousin were playing with a gun. I am not sure if that is the real connection, but wow, it makes sense that this song would resonate with me after the death by gunshot of a student I knew.

The first part is him confessing his sin to his mom, the second is him being judged by angels and demons (basically some are defending him because he is just a poor boy and some are condemning him)

Not bad for one of your early music reactions, but you need to let the song end.
This song took three weeks to record, and in some sections featured 180 separate overdubs. Most people don't understand the meaning of this song. Freddy was coming out as gay, the man he killed was his old, straight self. Almost any song of Queen's you react to will be great. This genre is considered a Rock Opera.
I would like to see you react to an artist you did once before, who is a genre blender, he can rap as well as he can sing, the band is called "Falling in Reverse" and the song is "Popular Monster". The song was ranked number 4 in late 2019 on the US Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and number 1 on the US Mainstream Rock chart and as of 2021 has over 100 million streams on Spotify. The first question you'll ask is, what genre is this, it's Ronnie Radke's own genre. You won't have to worry about any copyright problems, Ronnie loves the reactions.
If you're lucky Ronnie, the vocalist of "Falling in Reverse" will react to your reaction, putting you in a larger spotlight. Believe me, you will want to hear more from this band. This video is like a short movie, like most of his videos. Always let "Falling in Reverse" songs play to the end, some of them trick you into thinking they're done, but some of their songs continue after a pause. Here's the link to "Popular Monster".

Play the very end to yourselves. They repeat that mystical phrase, "Any way the wind blows." I think they sing it three times in the song.

    The vibrato "I'm just a poor boy.." @ 1:44 says it all...Jesus, what a talent...whoa
And, reports of "QUEEN" parties in the 70's included "naked dwarfs serving mountains of cocaine on silver platters and open orgies..." What a time and band. Well, my kind of party.
    Cheers!!

This video (1974) was one of its kind for the day (years before MTV). It was shot in about 4 or 5 hours & cost around 5000 British pounds (expensive for the time, but VERY cheap once MTV showed up).
The opening shot is based off the Queen II album artwork which is based on a Marlena Dietrich portrait that Freddie loved. They used this theme multiple times throughout their career.

This song did not become 'famous' overnight. It was considers a bit to long to be played on mainstream radio back in the day. So it took a few years to gain traction. I am not sure if this is true bus it is listed as the 'first music video' ever. It currantly has a BILLION views!
