Being a Sarawakian myself, I haven't been to many places in Sarawak, and most of them are unknown to me as well. It's so odd to me that I had been living in Europe prior and now reside in KL for work and travel to many places in Europe, but places that are closer to home that I have never been to. I've always wanted to go to Batang Ai, Bario, Kapit, etc., etc. Sarawak is just too big, and I need very long holidays to go back and visit all these amazing places. I'm a Melanau+Iban+Japanese from Balingian. You might never have heard of this place; it's a small village or town, if you can say it that way.

There are many places you can also go that are not included in this video and they are Port Alice in Sri Aman, Telok Melano beach, Jong's Crocodile Farm and Zoo, Pasar Satok (only opens during the weekend as early as 7am), and lastly the not yet finish St. Peter's Church.
There are hundreds of places I didn't mention in the video! I will dive deeper into other places to visit in future videos! I can make videos about Sarawak until I am 80 years old!

In my humble opinion taking a road trip with stopping in every division from Kuching to Miri is the way to go if you plan to visit Sarawak. Sure it'll take some time but it's worth every bit of the said time spent. You'll find out quickly what every division has to offer.

Hey! I know multiple gay-couples who happily live in Kuching. Kuching seems less narrow minded. You will not be able to get married in Malaysia, but you can live together. No problemo!
