Also he was in constant pain and suffering and managed to kill hundreds of Jedi even in that state. The Emperor could have allowed him to use a better armor but he was afraid of his potential still and his armor had a great disadvantage, it was very weak vs lightning so the Emperor would always have the upper hand on a duel.

@ConquestZero i understand your point of view, to me anakin was not even close to his peak and was way to mentally unstable since the beginning, he choked padme, the person he turned to the dark side for, vs obi who at that point had only one more step to complete his training (getting conecter with his former master), and was ready to kill anikin if he had to, which to me proves he wasnt as conflicted as you say. Obi had already master disattachment and was ready to let go of his pupil/brother, this is why anakin wasnt awarded the rank of master, part was because of his friendship with palpatine, but mainly it was because anikin proved time and time again that he could not let go of anyone, and the jedi suspected he wasnt gonna let go his friendship with palpatine wich ended up happening when he choosed palpatin over windu.

During the Luke v Vader fight, Luke got into the rafters and Vader just threw his lightsaber up there. In conclusion: he either evolved or learned from his mistakes.

That doesn't make a defeat any less valid. Letting your guard down is a mistake in a fight that's no different than missing a punch or moving incorrectly. A fight with another person (particularly when it's space wizards XD) is all-inclusive; pitting a persons mind, body, and spirit against each other. Letting down his guard is a flaw in his abilities and losing because of it is just as fair as losing to superior technique.

@@AGH331 From what I recall the Conclave at Kessel got their asses handed to them by Vader. He won there. Obi-Wan was evenly matched and won mostly due to circumstance / location. And Luke winning is for obvious reasons. Only Galen sorta defeated him depending on whether you go with game, comic or novel. But I mostly approach that the same way comics frequently don't mention some of their worst fanfictiony nonsense. TFU was for me the start of the slow decline of Star Wars anyway. With the rapid rollercoaster down once Disney took over. To each his own I suppose.
You can say whatever you want, but MrMcp is right. Darth Vader is the chosen one, he shouldn’t be defeated by anybody except for the emperor (because the sensitivity for force lightning of his suit) and Luke (because he couldn’t kill his son too).
@WhiteLichMage The Force Unleashed canonicity is actually what back then started to make me loose interest in newer stuff. (that and I wasn't big on the Vong stuff) Though I heard the FU Novel is far better and less silly in how it tackles the fight with Vader or Palpy. Disney however just killed canon in general for me. Hence I no longer buy new stuff. Early on I did follow the Disney Darth Vader comics, which is one of the few Disney things out there I really enjoyed. But nowadays I mostly just gave up on it. Then again got so many old SW comics and several boxes of books. I'd say I'm set for life! ;)

Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic, he could save others from death, but not himself.
So, basically, the only Jedi that actually beat Vader mostly by his own skill and power was the OG Galen Marek. The clone used the storm, Celeste used her minions, Obi Wan took advantage of Anakin's mistake, and the 8 Jedi used numbers, and Vader held back against Luke to try and turn him. Galen Marek was the only one that didn't have help against Vader, and had to beat him without any special conditions. That's kind of cool, tbh. I love Galen Marek! I wish he was cannon still. ;.;

Obi Wans fighting style emphasized fighting defensive until the correct moment where you could attack. Kinda like chess setting you’re pieces until you strike. It’s also why the second time they fight even with both weaker due to age Vader is far more wiser and patient in the fight

Out of them all Starkiller ( Galen Marek ) kicked Vader's ass in the most brutal and agressive way, leaving him nearly destroyed by the end of the battle. Especially in the first game, when you choose the dark path, Starkiller actually kills Vader, proofing how incredibly strong he is.
Meanwhile people find any and every possible angle to say Vader either held back, got needed or was going against plot armor lol, Vader is LITERALLY the embodiment of plot armor (being the chosen one) he literally couldn’t die until he fulfilled his purpose but there’s plenty of Jedi who could match him in combat
To me it made sense Starkiller was so powerful, after all he was the offspring of a forbidden relationship between not one but two Jedi Masters so if how strong you are in the force can be passed down just like Anakin to Luke and Leia is comprehensible that the son of two force users will have a deeper connection to the force than his parents.
Plus he trained personally from goddamn Darth Vader so it really shows Galen is powerful because Vader is a good teacher pretty much make him a Sith juggernaut in the force.

Grevious was best 1v1 duelist in galaxy, he cannot defeat only yoda and sidious 1v1 and its all said in canon. PS. Only sidious and yoda can use crazy force in battle (expierience) and its the only way to do anything vs Cyborg Grevious. PS2. Obi loose vs Grevious but he used force at the end to pull blaster, so tricky and lucky to win, no blaster with Grevious = dead Obi
I know this maybe a technicality but I would argue Anikan Skywalker defeated Darth Vader in their final inner battle so to me that is the true final Jedi to defeat Darth Vader
It was Luke who truly brought Anakin back though. My personal belief is that Luke wouldn't have been able to do that if it hadn't been for Ahsoka. I think, while Ahsoka couldn't being back Anakin, her temporarily "tapping into" Anakin was what allowed Luke to fully bring him back all those years later.
Luke beating Vader fascinates me. I think what it came down to was Vader, despite obviously being the superior fighter was unwilling to tap into his anger against Luke like he was with every other opponent he'd fought since he became Sith.
Defeating Anakin/Vader is a super difficult task. The only reason Obi-Wan won was because he knew Anakin, and spent a long while observing him. Dooku won because Anakin waa young, and didn't know how to hone his power just yet. Anakin is literally the most powerful force user to ever live, no question.

That doesn't make a defeat any less valid. Letting your guard down is a mistake in a fight that's no different than missing a punch or moving incorrectly. A fight with another person (particularly when it's space wizards XD) is all-inclusive; pitting a persons mind, body, and spirit against each other. Letting down his guard is a flaw in his abilities and losing because of it is just as fair as losing to superior technique.

@@AGH331 From what I recall the Conclave at Kessel got their asses handed to them by Vader. He won there. Obi-Wan was evenly matched and won mostly due to circumstance / location. And Luke winning is for obvious reasons. Only Galen sorta defeated him depending on whether you go with game, comic or novel. But I mostly approach that the same way comics frequently don't mention some of their worst fanfictiony nonsense. TFU was for me the start of the slow decline of Star Wars anyway. With the rapid rollercoaster down once Disney took over. To each his own I suppose.
You can say whatever you want, but MrMcp is right. Darth Vader is the chosen one, he shouldn’t be defeated by anybody except for the emperor (because the sensitivity for force lightning of his suit) and Luke (because he couldn’t kill his son too).

(that and I wasn't big on the Vong stuff) Though I heard the FU Novel is far better and less silly in how it tackles the fight with Vader or Palpy. Disney however just killed canon in general for me. Hence I no longer buy new stuff. Early on I did follow the Disney Darth Vader comics, which is one of the few Disney things out there I really enjoyed. But nowadays I mostly just gave up on it. Then again got so many old SW comics and several boxes of books. I'd say I'm set for life! ;)

So, basically, the only Jedi that actually beat Vader mostly by his own skill and power was the OG Galen Marek. The clone used the storm, Celeste used her minions, Obi Wan took advantage of Anakin's mistake, and the 8 Jedi used numbers, and Vader held back against Luke to try and turn him. Galen Marek was the only one that didn't have help against Vader, and had to beat him without any special conditions. That's kind of cool, tbh. I love Galen Marek! I wish he was cannon still. ;.;

Obi Wans fighting style emphasized fighting defensive until the correct moment where you could attack. Kinda like chess setting you’re pieces until you strike. He knew he could get Vader to a point with his advantage. That’s not a mistake on Vader that’s a well thought out plan on Obi Wan. It’s also why the second time they fight even with both weaker due to age Vader is far more wiser and patient in the fight

Out of them all Starkiller ( Galen Marek ) kicked Vader's ass in the most brutal and agressive way, leaving him nearly destroyed by the end of the battle.
Especially in the first game, when you choose the dark path, Starkiller actually kills Vader, proofing how incredibly strong he is.

To me it made sense Starkiller was so powerful, after all he was the offspring of a forbidden relationship between not one but two Jedi Masters so if how strong you are in the force can be passed down just like Anakin to Luke and Leia is comprehensible that the son of two force users will have a deeper connection to the force than his parents.
Plus he trained personally from goddamn Darth Vader so it really shows Galen is powerful because Vader is a good teacher pretty much make him a Sith juggernaut in the force.

It was Luke who truly brought Anakin back though. My personal belief is that Luke wouldn't have been able to do that if it hadn't been for Ahsoka. Defeating Anakin/Vader is a super difficult task. The only reason Obi-Wan won was because he knew Anakin, and spent a long while observing him. Dooku won because Anakin waa young, and didn't know how to hone his power just yet. Anakin is literally the most powerful force user to ever live, no question.
