    For those wondering about General Grievous' cybernetics backstory: It has been changed in Canon where he wanted to get them as opposed to the backstory in the original Expanded Universe, aka Legends, where it was forced upon him by Dooku who blew up his transport ship prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars.
    This video goes over the entire Clone Wars timeline in Canon. Starting from the foundations laid by the Sith, the Separatist Crisis, the pivotal points throughout the Clone Wars and the eventual transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire. Video written by Numidian Prime and edited by Vader's Fortress.

    It still has so much potential to be completely fleshed out and developed.

      Disney has been just way too obsessed with the imperial era ever since they got Star Wars for themselves. So obsessed that even in settings way after it they just keep bringing back the same old imperials. I doubt theres gonna be major content for any other time periods any time soon.

      I mean, you realise the empire in the OT is literally based on the US right? George openly talks about how the US were the empire and the Vietnamese were the rebels/ewoks. He wanted to show that with hope, a primitive culture can beat a more advanced culture. Which is what happened in irl when Vietnam beat the US.
      He also based basically all the politicians in the PT on real US politicians like Clinton and bush. Darth Vader literally quotes bush..
      George is pretty anti US politics. The reason why most people are British in the OT is because Star Wars was basically made in the UK. So all the extras were locals.

This is where the Jedi get their armor from during the Clone Wars series, and it also marks the end of the Jedis’ role as peacekeepers into soldiers.

I'm not saying a 6 hour movie, I'm saying take things like teenage Anakin, Darth Maul, Qui-Gonn Jinn, and work them into the general events of Ep 2. Maybe start the movie with a crisis on Naboo and end with the Clone Wars starting on Geonosis, then make the bulk of it the Jedi trying to stop the war from happening while the Sith work from the shadows to make sure that it does happen.

Ventress also became good... she and ObiWan sounded very fond of each other... sad after Satine, ObiWan didn't take a liking to her... poor clones... ObiWan and Anakin were such good friends of them...

    • @LGus-gr9wo
      @LGus-gr9wo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It is after his downfall to Sidious yes, but not the Republic invasion. TLM actually has a comic narrated video about "Son of Dathomir" which explains that story, it's really good.
      After the end of that story Maul and his remaining Shadow Colective supporters went into hiding after (I believe) Almec lost control of Mandalore to the Death Watch loyalists*. After that Maul tried to take back control which lead to the Republic finally invading the planet, leading to the events in season 7.
      *I dare not say that this is what happened as I have not read up on events in this period, but that is my speculation

      The droids deserved better more than anyone else. Droids in Star Wars are meant to be an oppressed class. Droids are bought and sold as slaves, they are routinely mind wiped as to not have any free will, and are made to do the dangerous and menial work that organics can’t or don’t want to do. At least some of the clones were repurposed into the stormtroopers. Meanwhile the vast majority of battle droids were completely shut down. What few remained fought in criminal gangs, separatist holdouts, or struggled to find stable jobs. I think L3-37 was right at the end of the day, she just went around it in a very radical manner.

      But that would be a lie, since the Separatist never did gain ground. They spent the entire war being pushed into the Outer Rim territories. By Episode 3, all of their remaining worlds are trapped under siege by Republic forces. The Battle of Coruscant was a last ditch attempt to force the Republic to break those sieges in order to defend its capital. The war was not an equal fight. The Republic had a far larger population (which means more taxes), economy, and war industry than the CIS. The only reason it lasted even three years is that Palpatine threw them a bone every once in a while by giving them intel that allowed them to catch the Republic off guard.

      Of these ideas which one do you find the most interested in:
      - *"Knights of the Old Republic"* animated series adaptation of the Dark Horse comic series (Two 24 Ep. seasons and a movie)
      - *"Lost Tales of the Jedi":* animated series that explores the vague events the Jedi Order participated in long before Tales of the Jedi. It goes over the first few years of the dark jedi reign of the Sith people, explain what led up to the tragic and devastating conclusion of the 3rd Great Schism, and a brand new story since there's more than enough room to fit one. (One season, Twenty 22 min episodes, and 5 story arcs) [original idea]
      - *"Star Wars: War of Peace":* a live action series that focuses on a Pantoran turncoat amongst the terrifying theocratic government that is now The Pius Dea Republic. The ship engineer seeks to do what he can against the Pius Dea Republic with rebel cells across the stars as another bloody holy crusade is being put into the works by the Supreme Chancellor. And since this era is dark in general, all the efforts done to save several "primitive" alien species defying the Pius Dea leads to their unfortunate genocide. Maybe give some hope at the very end in the credits with the MC's great grandson being the one to design the computer virus that finishes off the Pius Dea navy in the future. (One season and Thirteen 45 min episodes) [original idea]
      - *"Star Wars: Empire's Reign":* a "mature" live action or animated anthology series that follows the strange, terrible, and mediocre life of enslaved beings across the vast expanse of the Infinite Empire. The short stories eventually conclude with an inside perspective of the Rakatan civilization fall and just what precautions they took to salvage their dying empire. All the characters we've been introduced to participate in a way to drive the Rakata off their homeworld and the worlds of other conquered species. (One season, Twelve 45 minute episodes) [original idea]
      Now this is a whole lotta coulda been conjured up by my nerdy mind. I would've typed far more but I realized this was suppose to be a simple reply and half of this comment section isn't going to read a fraction of what I've typed...

    The Empire lasting only 25 years is quite silly to me as realistically it would take longer for a true rebellion to form against it and the memory of the Jedi would still be alive regardless of the propaganda. In the original movies the Empire feels like it had been around for far longer than that. But since we must squeeze their entire history in the time between Luke's birth and his beginning as a Jedi at the age of 19 the Empire as we see it in the originals just has to fit between this narrow sliver of time.

    • @Burn-nf3fo
      @Burn-nf3fo ปีที่แล้ว

      Not that hard to imagine. Think of the US, basically everything taught in US schools is blatant propaganda. Most people grew up in Cold War USA. They know no better. Because the US was literally nothing special of a country until after WW2, because everyone else had bombed each other to dust. The US only became powerful in the 50s, yet they teach it like they’ve been the saviour of earth for all mankind.
      Even in 1776, the US really did nothing for its own independence. The US has France and Spain to thank for their liberation, hence that big french statue in NYC that is literally a STATUE OF YOUR LIBERTY.. without France, USA would still be British. Without China in WW2, USA would now be Japanese. Japan had conquered basically all of east Asia at that point. They were far more formidable than the US teaches. As well as the fact China UK and Russia were far more instrumental in winning WW2 than the US was. The us is literally considered a support nation in the war..
