I learned more basic human anatomy by reading adult gay content (not as a child, I was plenty old enough) then I did at the conservative school I attended. According to my school, abstinence is the only option, having sex before marriage “uses you up” (we got the chewed gum metaphor), and monogamy is the godly path.

It tends to crop up more the more authoritarian the people who are using it are (which also isn't specifically fascist) but it can be used by anyone. When a group starts using that it's a sign to be wary of other things they're saying too.

I staunchly support LGBT rights, racial equality, feminism, pro choice, equality of the sexes, women's rights, gay marriage, conservation of the environment, helping the poor, taking in refugees and basically many things Americans call liberal. I have to ask, is the American conservative something different, something more extreme? I ask because I view that guy no more favorably than you do. He's a raging cringe fest. Houswife by non religious choice here. Being at home full time, being avaibale for family and extended family's needs, managing the household [shopping, cleaning, scheduling appointments, meal planning, food prep, clean up and dishes, gardening, animal husbandry, ect ect] is 100% unpaid labor that should be, at a minimum, verbally acknowledged and appreciated. If I say that your rasist, that's an insult, a lable that is meant to be a warning to others. Gender identity is part of who you are, something that people take pride in, something that takes years to figure out in some cases.
This quote makes it seem that racism and how someone chooses to identify are the same. They are not.
Racism by definition, "The belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another."
And gender identity, "Gender identity is the personal sense of one's own gender. Gender identity can correlate with a person's assigned sex or can differ from it."
As you can see, the two are very different from eachother, is many veru important ways.
One is a skewed way of thinking that makes you believe that certain groups of people are better than others. This can cause people to both physically and emotionally attack people because they believe that they are less than.
And the other is a personal puzzle. A way for people to find a sense of community, a sense of belonging with others that are like them. Finding out your gender identity helps you in so many ways, and can help you find your way in life.
For example: Lets say that John goes on a journey of self discovery, and figures out that hes a transfemale. John now can change her name and pronouns to Jessica she/her, helping her find her sense of self. Jessica can now feel pess guilty for going into the woman section of the clothing store, helping her find her personal style. Jessica can now dress more feminine and wear makeup if she so chooses, helping her boost her confidence and pride in her appearance.
Now of course there are many versions of this, and of course if someone finds out there a trans woman this isnt the only path their limited to, this is just an example. The point is that discovering your gender identity can allow you to do and experience so many beautiful things that very well couldn't have happened without it.
Gender is beautiful, it is fluid, its something everybody was gifted with, and it is to be respected.
Rasism is none of those things, and is a mental illness that you should seek help for if you have it. Because it isnt just harming you. .its harming everyone you interact with, everyone you influence, your kids, that random stranger on the subway you made a rasist joke twords, everyone.

They don't mean any harm when they say it. Also probably got dementia and altimeters ( if I can spell which I cant) mixed up again. My grandmother would forget things that were just said ( like me telling her about school 4 times in one visit which I never minded because it wasn't her fault) and a few times she would say something close to this but we would just correct her and move on. She mostly only said it because she used to watch the news but stopped when she entered the home which was a very good one because everything was clean and everyone was cared for.

Walking through homeless camps and talking about "trash" was pure evil. I been in those areas many times and the people are very sweet. To mention OUT LOUD about trash where he knows they can hear just shows how compassionate and how caring he actually is.
Also extremely dangerous to do that. Like what if one of them just got attacked and treated like shit, go back to their tent to recover having a bad day abd heard him say that. I mean they got nothing to lose and sure they'll be arrested if they attack him but free food and housing is to some better than the street. Not everyone but a very small minority of them
I've lived there. Alot of them will try to stab you, leave needles on the ground for you to step on, and shit on the sidewalk right in front of you. So yes, sure. Some of them are kind and normal people. Many are dangerous,drug addicted and need serious mental health services.
Reality is not as simple as you pretend.
That said, I've also been homeless 3 times and for over a year. I understand the issue from both sides.
@@SolidSirenYes, this is a reality for a lot of places. I was talking about my personal experiences there and yes, it can be dangerous. Still, the people I have interacted with were genuinely sweet despite their conditions and would ask politely for money or food. I felt he didn't need to talk that way in front of them or AT ALL. I still get where you're coming from, but you have to admit that saying it was out of line, especially when it was obvious he was not getting harassed at the time.

Both that many of these people desperately need access to services *and* that it is vile for him to enter a homeless encampment solely to make the implication that the people who live there are the equivalent of environmental pollutants. It isn't as though homeless or drug-addicted people want to be in those positions, so much of that malice is brought on or worsened by circumstance. ESPECIALLY with how bad housing is in LA (as someone who also lives in SoCal, not disclosing exactly where for obvious reasons haha).
