Those mufflers leak all the way around them. Not to mention the wheep hole. Hope youre in a well ventilated space or at least have a carbon monoxide detector handy. And with a coil in the bucket its gonna soot up rather quickly. The exhaust needs to be as straight as possible. The best option is to use an egr cooler or make something similar like i did to heat water and run it threw a cast radiator. I tried the sand battery before. Its not worth the effort.
I have a CO detector. As long as the exhaust flows downward, there will be no trapped condensation. I've been monitoring the exhaust pipe. It's pretty clean. The end product will have the joints sealed. The muffler is irrelevant at this point, as the finished product will have a different silencer. That was the first thing I noticed when I installed the muffler. These things are great, but they need a lot of little things.
