Too Damn Many Projects!
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 ธ.ค. 2012
As life goes on, we all slow down. Nothing has brought that to my attention like this year has. A couple of surgeries and long recoup time has made me painfully aware of getting these projects either done or gone. This is about how I accomplish this task. There's a mobile home to finish the remodel, a Bentley that needs to be made drivable enjoyed or sold, a fork lift that's getting a refurb and some interesting additions, a Rolex I want to customize and a couple of old wood boats to either finish or get rid of. Then there's the fun stuff in between. Traveling, upgrading the Tahoe, showing you how to rebuild transmissions, how to fix big trucks and heavy equipment, and how to deal with weight and aging. Never a dull moment!
Diesel Furnace: improvements
We poked a hole in the wall for exhaust. Routed the exhaust into the bucket and filled with sand. We have 3-400° coming out of the furnace. It goes into the bucket and out through the wall. The exhaust going out the wall is around it's between 100-150°. All that heat was throw away. But we reclaimed our heat and warm up the sand. You can see the heat at work, because after a few minutes the inductive fan starts turning. And it's blowing 100°! Bonus!

Diesel furnace with sand battery. The noise is unavoidable. This is a live demo. Make sure you watch the short. I got a nice surprise after shutting down the furnace.

Thankyou from New Zealand. You have me thinking to improve nighttime warmth in my caravan . Can turn heater of rather than listen to the pump all night.
Sweet
😂 looks like a BBC 😅
Pro tip. Turn the phone before you hit record.
Thank you!
So I can leave it off as long as I don’t need to use low gear?
Hi, enjoyed watching your video, I am in the UK and have a 1985 Silver Spur that I have been restoring over the last 2 years it is close to mint condition, what makes it unique or at least I have never seen another one ,is that it was converted with a Phantom front end in the middle east some years ago so not a car for the purists but impressive nonetheless, it has the centre division and rear air con, after getting it through its MOT test and making it road legal, today I thought I would address the air con, I have a professional air con machine in my workshop and have converted it to R134a , I evacuated the system for about 45 mins and it held its vacuum for at least 10mins, I put 250ml pag oil into the low side and then continued to recharge the system with R134a , this is what I wasn't sure of on the Harrisson compressor it says 1.48kg gas but makes no mention of the rear air con so I guessed and put 2kg of gas into the low side to take the residue of the pag oil with it , at first all seemed well the vents were blowing cold if not ice cold , I thought I would take it for a road test , probably les than a mile in I started smelling this burning smell and the vents got noticeably warmer, I got back to my workshop and the clutch was slipping and struggling to turn the compressor I thought the compressor had seized but it still turns easily by hand so I think the clutch has failed, I am sorry this message has gone on a bit, that happens when you get to my age 🙂 my main question is what quantity of gas and pag oil should I have used,Many thanks Andrew , Cambridgeshire UK
Jesus next time you need to remove seals use a popsicle stick to clean off leftovers not metal wood or plastic cause you scratched the shit out of the connections
Please elaborate. I'm not aware of anything that can be removed with a popsicle stick. Are you referring to the scratches on the channel casting and pan area? If so, you are correct. It's highly scratched. It is a necessary procedure to assure a flat surface and stop loss of fluid pressure due to warpage. One of those little things that make the trans work better. I have a video I'm producing right now showing the file to find the highs and lows, knock off the high stuff and at the end, you have a nice, smooth surface.
Bently your hilarious... pissing people off just being you .. lol
