wow what a great show and items tonight. daggers out the wazoo!! great chained ss and other daggers as well. wow. such great items. thanks so much for sharing. amazing items. Larry
Some hunters in Germany still use such a spear. It is called Sauspieß - which could be translated with hogspear - and is used to hunt a Boar. It comes from the middle ages…
As you said Tom, you did help us out with equipment during the war, but at a cost. We only finished paying you back in December 2006. Maybe we should have charged you rent for the use of our airfields 😂
Hello Team Wittmann! The spear piece is beautiful. I did notice one of the commenters in the thread wrote the spearhead might be a post war fake. I hope you guys will do a follow up on the piece. That aside, there were so many amazing pieces in this video. I always enjoy the unboxings.
That pair of daggers. Those are WW1 German boot knives. They were issued. There are a few other models / designs. BTW, those are extremely rare. I've only seen 1 other, and it was in a small museum somewhere. You better hang on to one of them Wittmann. The giveaway for dating that pair of daggers are the hatch marks on the grips. I think this is a WW1 only design feature.
22:17 Those WW1 Hammesfahr- Grabendolche are reworked Fakes made in India, widely used among Reenactors. Cheap steel quality, wrong type of Button, tropical wood as grip.
Those from England can correct me, but I believe it was the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain (July to Oct. 1940) that saved the country, not the army. A good chunk of the army came back at Dunkirk 1940. The RAF got it done.
Entirely correct, and I had the good fortune to meet and talk to many of the few. Unfortunately, only one left now. Men from a different time, true heroes.
Hallo Mr. Wittmann. I give you the translation of the Göring spearhead..... Steep slopes, rough boars, cool sparkling wine and loose woman are the hunters early death. Greetings from Heidelberg
This is the head of a Saufeder/ Sauspieß. They are , from Puma company, still produced. For reason of wild boar problem in Germany for about 20 Years, the boarspear has a small comeback. Even modern constructions, with a pointed sharpened Pipe as blade exist.
Great video again, love the SA dagger with the 1935 engraving, really would love to own that one...😊 Is that spearhead now real or not, see some different comments?
Normally pearls can be judged based off the material of the clasp. Gold and platinum would tend to go with high quality pearls. Silver would tend to go with low quality pearls or artificial pearls. Obviously that isn't set in stone but a good tip when you are looking at pearl necklaces.
TH-cam isn't showing me your videos. I just realized its been a while since you had a new video. I look it up and sure enough there's a couple in the last week or two. none of them came up in my TH-cam feed. that spear head is incredible!
We , the U.S . bombed Germany by day while the British by night . What was the maker on the S.A. shooting prize dagger ? Side glance looked like a hooded dude with a big axe getting ready to ruin someones day !
Pull apart every Dagger to check for fakes, Funny how dealers say never take them apart but that is the first thing every potential buyer should do and every dealer does., Especially with a more valuable SS dagger that have no makers marks. A good fake would have the screw installed with lock tight to aid in the deterrence of thorough inspection. Lets educate and expose fakes by Taking them all apart
And this is getting more freaky. You had items from Guildford a few episodes ago, and as I said, then it was my hometown. Maybe I should go back and start looking for daggers 😂
Love n peace.its only in the last ten yrs that RUSSIA has payed back it's DEBT to the US for the equipment they supplied during WW11.stay sharp Sir 💚✌️.ps HEY OB 👍

The Luft sidecap is for members of the ground crew, as it has no cockade, and were somewhat darker in color.

To be honest, of all items shown the tree Lufftwaffen-Dolche I like the most, the grip coloures are beautiful.

Puma company still produces boarspears/ Saufedern even today from time to time.
Seeing the necklace made my heart skip a beat! I only wish I could afford this!
I'm afraid the metal stir stick will bruise the whiskey, have you a wooden one :)
I highly doubt they would notice if it was spiked with antifreeze much less bruised, but I for one appreciate the opinion of a connoisseur.
@@WittmannAntiqueMilitaria lol. We gots to "stick" together. :)
Great! Thanks so much!
Tom, I love just you!!!! always the Best.

I'm afraid they are reproductions, I believe from Pakistan. A few give aways including non period press studs and thick cross guards. Best rgds
Others say repros.
That spear is amazing I'm sure Wittman will be keeping that gewel, I know I would

Thank you
Unfortunately the spearhead is fake. They are in the Eickhorn catalogue but i think this one is one of the post war one's from Atwood.

The translation on the spear head says : Steep hills, wild pigs , cool Champaign and loose women are the hunters early death .

I just love German fixed blades from the late 30's and WWII era, however, even though I own some fixed blades, I own none of these gems of that era!
I like watching your videos
What are you guys drinking? :)
Cheap rotgut and flat soda. It's gross.
The NPEA Student Dagger is an old Spanish reproduction from the early 1970s. The over sized motto is a dead give away

To the guy from Guildford uk who sent the bits over, there are loads of collectors here in the uk who would love to have bought your items......
I'm sure selling these items is preferred on the down low
