Dear Mr. Whitman(s)....I so very much appreciate your videos and have always been interested in WW2 history (my father was a bombardier early in the war and was injured, and needless to say he hated the Nazis) But, I was always intrigued by German quality but felt ashamed that I would be looked upon negatively for appreciating this era of history, for this I thank you. The history lesson that you give in conjunction with your son each enjoying life is special..cheers!
From what I have heard over the years as to why there are dings on the sides of dagger and sword scabbards are, 1. They accidentally got caught in closing doors, 2. They were purposely put in to the scabbard to keep the daggers from sliding out.
Hello Team Wittmann! First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY OB! I want to thank you guys again for taking the time to explain the finer nuances of the hobby like the differences between the Red Cross and so called "Social Welfare" daggers.
TOM: One more reason the collecting community calls the round hole scabbard DRK Leader a Social Welfare is that in my 350 plus motel buys, directly from verterans in the 1970S and 1980s, ALL the DRKs that came in and had hangers with them had ONLY Social Welfare Hangers on ROUND HOLE Scabbards and RED CROSS HANGERS on daggers with RECTANGULAR HOLES.
Love and peace always, thanking you both for such a diverse box the nite, the SS color boards,as you pointed out the tight stitch ,have you ever seen them with RZM tabs, witch are a whole different bottle of ALE.
Morning Mr Whitman and Rob, it's 8.30am here in the UK and just watched your latest video of the show. Once again you never disappoint the viewers with the content you show us. I'm always looking forward to seeing your next version of the show. Wanted to ask you a question about, is Rob a big collector like you are. He seems to know his stuff on it all. Which I imagine he has picked it up along the way with you. Anyway great show. All the best from Phillip Colley, from the UK. 🔥 🔥 🔥
🎂🎂🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ob!!!! 🎂🎂🎂
Bob Burns is honored. 😄😆😆😆
