  • The new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is, just like my FlightZoomer Apps, built upon a revolutionary new system architecture, which is perfectly suited for flight simulators: by downloading aerial imagery on demand from the cloud, combined with a terrain elevation model, extremely realistic landscapes are rendered on the screen.
Based on the very capable and highly complex UWP MapControl (SwapChainPanels are used to offer high performance interop with DirectX), I can built a minimalistic proof-of-concept app with not more than 6 lines of C# code!
The video shows a walkthrough from the creation of a Visual Studio-project to the compilation and the launch of the app. Using Visual Studio 2019 Community everybody can follow my steps at no costs to get an own little flight simulation app!

    physics ? sound ? cockpit/gauges ? flight operations ? traffic/ATC ? aircraft ? day/night/dusk ? lights ? charts/navdata ? etc.
I am sorry, but on the "simulator" part of the flight experience (concerns above to name a few), this is nowhere near FS1.
Please change the title to _"Getting started in navigating Bing maps in 3D in 6 lines of c# code"_
    I didn't downvote though.

True, my proof of concept shows the MSFS base architecture with bing aerial images based, cloud served, global scenery.

so what? Auf dem Mark zählt das Resultat und nicht die technische Umsetzung. Egal wieviele Zeilen Code oder wieviel Synergieen genutzt werden kann.
