Your review made me pull the trigger on my exact rifle with an Sig Whiskey 3 3x9x40. I got it August2023 and I knocked down 4 deer with it this past season using Norma Whitetail 150gr. Love this rifle! Thanks for being honest and reviewing it as well as you did!
I bought a Savage scout when they first came out....excellent deer rifle. Got my oldest daughter a Axis .243 compact the next year,it's a damn good little gun too. Both are way more accurate than their price point.
@@RidinDirtyOutdoors Great gun, i just bot the exact gun yesterday after watching this. Do you know what the thread pitch is for the barrel? I want to order a muzzle break, but i cant find the info anywhere!! Thanks, JT
Just ordered a stainless one with 22" barrel, the black stock and a Weaver scope (though it'll probably be a Bushnell when it comes in) from Buds for $442 last week. I also like my lever guns....have two Marlins one in 30-30 and one in .35 Remington but wanted something in .308 for Moose.
I have two older standard Savage Axis bolt rifles. I think I paid $269 for each one back before the China plague. One is .22-250 and one is .223. Our deer are small in FL. Haha. Centerfire .22s are not my first choice for deer though. The .22-250 will however take large deer including mule deer within reasonable distances. I used to have a dedicated deer bolt rifle in .25-06. A Savage 110. Wish I still had it. Great rifle. I don't really care for a trigger safety on a rifle trigger that comes on these new Axis rifles. Thanks for sharing.
@RidinDirtyOutdoors Thank you brother! I just picked mine up, and no one could tell me the thread pitch. I have a spare Dead Air brake I'm gonna toss on it. I appreciate it 🤙🏴☠️
Dose anyone know the twist rate of this rifle. I haven’t found any info on it. I bought mine last week and it’s not stated on the barrel as far as I can tell
Given an Average shooter and assuming a semi quality optic I wouldn’t hesitate to say 5-800 yards and be consistently effective. Increase the shooter skill and optic and could be more

How accurate is it? Does it group pretty good?
It’s pretty good, no complaints here. A little better scope and it would be even nicer.

This is the axis 2 right ? Does it say axis 2 in the barrel or just axis ?
Axis II
Small world..
What’s up dude!!!!
Can i shoot the 308 and 762 in this one right ?
Yes you can shoot 7.62 out of it. May not be as accurate though
What kind of muzzle break do you have? Also what is the thread?
5/8x24
Got mine from a company called: battle born best
How do you take the bullet out the chamber after you load it and didn’t fire it
Drop the mag and cycle the bolt
Thinking about getting this, what accuracy can you get at 100yrds?
Better the optic better the accuracy but yea you’ll drop anything that moves easily at 100
