“Chicharrón de pollo, or chicharrones de pollo, is a common menu item at Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban restaurants and casual eateries. This Latin Caribbean variation of fried chicken comes in various forms, including bone-in or boneless, breaded or unbreaded, and is made from the whole chicken or just the thighs or breasts. . . Serve with plenty of extra limes on the side, and pair it with white rice and stewed red beans for one of my all-time favorite comfort meals.” - César

This looks so, so good. Who doesn't love fried chicken?
I'm not a meat eater, but I'll watch anything you're in!
This would be great with brussel spout, parsnip, or cauliflower slices (1/4”)
Dude I was gifted an air frier by my wife’s decently divorced cousin. Whilst I picked it up to move it to a cabinet and put it up, I found it unexpectedly light and dropped it. It shattered immediately. Easy come, easy go as they say.
I had chicharrón de pollo in San Juan, PR and I’ve been looking for the same chicken since!
I love the inventiveness, flair, and ease the Caesar prepares his dishes with. Always something effort worthy and able to be adapted. How much is that air fryer in the window?
Hey César! You know I’m here 😉 I keep Sazón in the little packets because its perfect! I love the color it gives food too. When I use it in flour, I just use a lil garlic salt + pepper for anything fried. I tweak it sometimes.
I also use buttermilk to brine my chicken with hot sauce, Sazón, etc. Fish gets dipped in seasoned buttermilk then seasoned flour then fried.
reminds me of Karaage, I'll have to try this recipe.
Watching this I'm remembering cooking with my grandma and having orange hands all day from mixing the meat in sazon 🤣
Haha me too. That Red No. 40 is crazy.
I had a chef instructor tell me that white pepper smells like a barn, and I honestly see where he's coming from 😅
Haha and fish sauce smells like *** but it’s delicious!
Absolutely! Lol
Potato starch ends up a little browner and adds a toaster nutty flavor.
Sounds good!
That looks delicious, I'm definitely trying this. Keep them coming Caesar 👍🏻
This may make me reconsider getting an air fryer!
What I got to do to be a food tester for Cesar? All these nostalgic foods... it's 11:23pm and I want this so bad 😅😅
Ha ha i have same one. For like 11 years. It’s still kickin!
🤤 😊
Could you make a large batch and freeze them? Maybe freeze after frying and reheat in the air fryer??
That’s a great idea!
Okay but that cutting board tho 😗. Where can I get one??
Chicharron de pollo without the skin? Nah bro.
Come on Creamy, don't knock it till you try it😊
@@childofTheMostHigh4217 I'm sure it tastes fine, but I married into a family from PR who say this is sacrilege. A huge part of the taste of this dish is from the flavor and texture of the fat/skin.
I’m team skin too but these were still 🔥
