    This is where I ordered the gear from that I used in my build : m.alibaba.com/product/60755103943/Solar-tracking-system-components-Slew-Drive.html?spm=a2706.wap_new_search.1998817009.8.14e6284fN9IBD2

    I am really impressed with your build. I have a bobcat e-45 that I'd like to build one for. I already have a bobcat tilting attachment which I think will be a good starting point. Easton, Massachusetts USA

      Thanks, yes that's my plan also using the tilt from the bucket, saves some fabrication, and with the tiltrotator I want need the tilt bucket, would be even easier to build it to my Kobelco that has the tilt quick coupler.

      Thanks, it works great😀👌 With my new engcon tiltrotator i needed to switch over the tilt to the 6/2 way valve, wasn't enough flow for the rotation. th-cam.com/play/PLJ-nsDpsPN4nbKNXX-_d-wMN8EKIbxrUO.html

      @@MiniMachines1 I see on Alibaba that they also have dual axis slew drives. Did you consider getting one of those? I'm also wondering if this setup is strong enough to hand a 9-ton excavator or if the slew drive will fail due to the forces. I wonder this because they also advertise using the slew drive for rotating solar panel arrays, which would not take nearly the strength that an excavator would put on the slew.

      When I choose the driv for my build, I checked the manual for maximum force my Terex had, and looked at the drives for what forces they could handle. Work the SE7 drive I chose I can hang my Terex after it and it will still work. So if you just scale up and go for a bigger drive it's no problem. The tiltrotator made for bigger excavators has the same design. Just look at the break out force on your machine and how much the drive is rated for 😊👌

    If you want your weldings to last, you better push then pull the welder and warm thick material up.

    • @MiniMachines1

      You're not welding Mig. You're doing it right.
      I learned on MIG, that if you pushing the torch, you even push the heat forwards to where you need it.

    What welder are you using? Planing on buying an inverter welder pretty soon.

    • @MiniMachines1
      @MiniMachines1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's castolin eutectic on little welder max 140 amps but enough for my work. One thing to look after are the duty cycles for how long you can weld without an break. But the inverter with stick welding it's not an big problem.

    • @NilsKall
      @NilsKall 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mini Machines OK, I will only weld stuff like you just did, bucket connectors and stuff so maybe max 10mm. Want a plasma cutter too and maybe a small open shed, like a open workshop with roof, where I can do all the metal work. I fear the barn might be a bit to flammable😱

      @MiniMachines1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NilsKall I had the 3 in one from ebay with 50amp plasma, tig and stick welder, was great until it suddenly didn't work anymore, I do miss the tig that was great welding with. I'm thinking about buying an other one or spend more money on one good tig welder 🤔 I always spend 30min in the garage after welding so I'm sure there is no small fire going on before I leave so it's a good idee to have an welding shed, it get really dirty with the grinder in the garage.
