To Be Humble

Humility is the ability to view yourself accurately as an individual with talents as well as flaws while being void of arrogance and low self-esteem. Humility isn’t always seen as a strength but sometime is thought of as a weakness. Some believe that humility is having low opinions of yourself, low self-esteem, and a lack of confidence. It is in fact the opposite, humility is having the self-esteem to understand that even though you are doing well, you do not have to brag or gloat about it, because you're not perfect.
It is important to stay humble because having humility not only helps you develop a more kind approach to interacting with others but it also influences how you perceive yourself and the world around you. Humility helps one extend more compassion and empathy to others. Those who practice humility are more likely to consider others’ beliefs and opinions. This is most likely because humility offers the opportunity to become less self-involved and more attuned with the feelings of others. This doesn't mean that you become a fickle minded individual who can't stand for something because you consider other's opinions. It simply means that you are willing to make thoroughly sound judgements without being stubbornly ignorant.

Being noble, kind and having an elegant stoic aura about you among loud, obnoxious and neurotic people is true strength. Being friendly, calm and a gentleman when everything is going your way and life is uncomplicated is easy. It is among rude, superficial and stressful people that shows the true character of a humble gentleman. The same person can also be a furious warrior. It all depends on the situation. Kindness is not weakness.

Great video as always. This strikes me as being one of the major steps to rationality due to supressing your emotions by humbling your ego.

Excellent as usual. Arrogance (not confidence which is different) is a form of stupidity. Mr. Forged, have you ever considered putting your insights into a book?

For those of “us” on TH-cam platform. Please excuse this inquiry, I can fully embrace that I don’t know what I think I know. I have been blessed with what some may consider a “traumatic” life. However one “trauma” is this word truly trauma??? What if that trauma is actually possibly a “catalyst for growth/rebirth/ a different perspective”? If so what would one then state is the standard for one to express this statement……what is stability when one is TRULY aware there is NO stability? However within that awareness of there being NO stability allowing others to state this is one’s “trauma” and NOT to attack those who may have inflicted trauma on you because the perceived trauma you have experienced has allowed you to have a vastly different perspective or perception of life. In closing I am simply requesting feedback my story is NOT important however what I have stumbled upon may assist other on their own journey I you will. I do not wish to obtain money fame notoriety etc. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE…….. think on this idea I have taken the personal courage if you will. The events people who have put me in this “frame” of mind at this time I above to NOT want nor NEED to cause any kind of harm disrespect nor Ill intent.
Is true strength to ask a question and state I DONT KNOW and I WANT/NEED to help those who have helped me be here and now because iAM TRULY BLESSED REGARDLESS?????
I am extremely scared yet I have faith.
What is the standard one would take in this position or frame of mind if you will.
I may choose to pull this immediately so I HUMBLY REQUEST TAKE A KNEE BEFORE RESPONDING.

I'm 27 mate. Its not always about me and my personal experiences. A lot of it also comes from accounts & stories I heard from friends, family members, colleagues at work, brief encounters with other people in airplanes/trains, cab/uber drivers, documentaries, books & biographies. But the main thing is to observe keenly, listen closely and analyze deeply. You never know that one simple narrative could evolve the way you see things my friend. That is why I'm always keen to know more

It's hard to soar like an eagle, when you're surrounded by turkeys.
It's hard to be humble when, the electric cord will last 30 years, but your phone charging cord won't last a-couple months.
It's hard to be humble when, you live in a free society that will arrest you for the same reason.
It's hard to be humble when, it is a detriment to have a good credit rating.
It's hard to be humble when, there's a boot on your neck, spit in your face and a knife in your back.
It's hard to be humble when, it says fresh made, and you wonder, made of what.
It's hard to be humble when, you've taken care of your teeth all your life, but you end up with Dentures anyhow.
It's hard to be humble when, you're teaching the teacher.
