Drop the textures to high while you're at it, the ultra textures are beyond the curve for diminishing returns at 1080p eating a lot of performance for minor improvements. I'd say high is the sweet spot for performance vs visuals

I absolutely loved this card when I bought it almost a year ago, but had to give it up shortly after due to driver issues - real ones too, not just “boo AMD sucks” nonsense. My issues were that games would flicker badly if in anything other than actual full screen and not borderless, and I had that infamous issue where browser hardware acceleration would randomly crap out after a few minutes of use. Using a driver that was several months older resolved all those issues, but of course lacked support for newer titles I wanted to play. Held out for a couple months, but new driver releases never did fix the issues, only the older ones did. Shame too, cause the card itself was an awesome performer - even used it at 4K with some titles!
Hey, you should review rx 6800 xt and you should compare RTX 4070 with it. You should do a comparison video for three cards, RTX 3080 ti, rx 6800 xt and RTX 4070 and compare them to see which is better value for its money. Love your videos
I've been waiting for like this review. just bought this gpu when this video is not yet released and never regret on it hence rx6600 (asus dual version) performed well, i was suprised about the performance that i loved the temps plays around 58-60c and not power hungry as well plays around at 100w only..🤩
Got mine used for 200 euros. Yeah that's how insane the prices were when I built the PC, wanted to get 6650 XT but it was 450ish. This thing runs everything I've played so far at really high settings, like set it to max and if it doesn't run at stable 60 then drop a couple settings. Not sure about the new AAA games because honestly I don't care about them lol. Now I see it used for 150 and it's a pretty damn good deal. This card is the next 580

I'm using the 6600 XT for Unreal Engine (5.2) game development and I'm the same mindset. I'll do my best to optimize the game. If only Windows 10 can stop uninstalling my driver.... I'm forced to use Adrenaline Pro drivers.

@@Lord_Thunderballs Yeah, and I think a benefit of using mid-range GPUs for development is having to optimize either way, or else it'd be unplayable even for you. This is the RX580 8GB well maybe the XT version but you have to drop the setting on some games to medium. £190 new here in the UK I paid £164 for a new RX580 in 2020 but it's taken far too long for this cards price to come down I don't think you need more VRAM if your playing 1080p and drop textures to medium. Pretty good value gpu considering it going below 200$ these days ...
But I'd really like to see newer and faster gpu , atleast 10-20% faster under 200$ , like 7600
You can find the RX 6600XT about 180-200$ which is about 20% faster than the 6600 non-xt.
In my country you can get a new one for like 20,000 rupees which is roughly 200$, 1$=100Rs(including import tax), super value for money. The new 7600 is good but its priced like 60-80$ more.
Buyed this card 2 years ago when gpu was super expensive, never disappointed me a single time. now i decided to buy 6950xt... what a beast OMG
Oh yeah awesome upgrade, that 6950XT provides a totally different experience :)

Could you make a video about the Rx 6700 xt because a lot of tech youtubers a recommending it right now and it’s seems to be a good bang for the buck.
finally an amd gpu review. i just bought an rx 6700 xt and that card is just amazing. the best card for under 400 dollars right now if you ask me
used 6800XT often go for below $400, if you can find a good condition one it's actually a steal .. much better than the 4060Ti
Just picked one up and paired it with my Ryzen 5 5600x and it’s a beast
Amazing video as always. Can you make a GTX 1080 in 2023 video next?
It still is, even on some of the unoptimized games, one can still enjoy ultra settings at 1080p with medium shadow
Drop the textures to high while you're at it, the ultra textures are beyond the curve for diminishing returns at 1080p eating a lot of performance for minor improvements. I'd say high is the sweet spot for performance vs visuals
The RX 6600 is both affordable and performs well. I just bought it and can't wait to use it.
Hii if you have AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 with the RX 6600M, can you tell me if you can possibly run Apex legends, Overwatch 2 or Dead by daylight ? You are helping me SO MUCHH if you tell me 🤍

Is Ryzen 5 5500 and RX 6600 a good pair?
For stability you should have used radeon pro drivers instead of adrenaline.
i am already running a 6600 challenger card and i am satisfied with it but still somehow made it to your video to be sure :)
Hey, you should review rx 6800 xt and you should compare RTX 4070 with it. You should do a comparison video for three cards, RTX 3080 ti, rx 6800 xt and RTX 4070 and compare them to see which is better value for its money. Love your videos
I've been waiting for like this review. just bought this gpu when this video is not yet released and never regret on it hence rx6600 (asus dual version) performed well, i was suprised about the performance that i loved the temps plays around 58-60c and not power hungry as well plays around at 100w only..🤩
I JUST BOUGHT IT A WEEK AGO AND I WAS WAITING FOR A REVIEW THAANKKK YOUU SOO MUCH!!!
how was ur experience with up till now?
Got mine used for 200 euros. Yeah that's how insane the prices were when I built the PC, wanted to get 6650 XT but it was 450ish. This thing runs everything I've played so far at really high settings, like set it to max and if it doesn't run at stable 60 then drop a couple settings. Not sure about the new AAA games because honestly I don't care about them lol. Now I see it used for 150 and it's a pretty damn good deal. This card is the next 580
If you got it for 200 at the gpu price peak you got it for cheap. I paid 3.5k for my 3090 at the peak lol. Now 4090 was only 1600 literally half of the 3090 I had
@user-ge9mz4pw1q Not in the European union but on the European continent. That's why the market is so messed up, our politicians love being isolated and holding oligopoly over imports
@user-ge9mz4pw1q Serbia. If you're in the EU or North America you'll 100% find it cheaper
Bought the Sapphire model 2 days ago. No regrets!
Hey Kryzzp, could you try the RX560 2GB model? I have one and i wanted to see what games i could run 😅

Rx 6600 wouldn't be to bad at 1440p medium or high depending on how demanding the game is

I ordered the "msi rx 6600 xt" yesterday.
Is MSI the best brand of this graphic card?😅
I'm currently learning how to code and make games in Unity, and I can confidently say that I will never release a trash port, or a heavily unoptimized game whenever I release a game.
I'll be looking forward to it.
I'm using the 6600 XT for Unreal Engine (5.2) game development and I'm the same mindset. I'll do my best to optimize the game.
If only Windows 10 can stop uninstalling my driver.... I'm forced to use Adrenaline Pro drivers.
@@Lord_Thunderballs A Defender issue maybe? Like with some... other programs, let's call them that... it will throw a false positive and quarantine a file even tho it isn't malware
@@justjoe5373Maybe. I know I started having issues when Windows 10 22H2 dropped. Then it started uninstalling my driver and installing incompatible drivers. Or that's what it looks like.Older versions of Windows 10 never had that issue. I've disabled automatic driver downloads and install and it still happens.
@@Lord_Thunderballs Yeah, and I think a benefit of using mid-range GPUs for development is having to optimize either way, or else it'd be unplayable even for you.
All these AAA titles are developed on stuff like 4090s and 13900Ks, so they don't suffer nearly as much as everyone else when they don't optimize their games.
Rn, I'm using a 12700K paired with a 3060 Ti for my PC (I could've spent less and gotten a 6800 XT lol).
Also sorry about the driver thing.
Guess it's just a Windows 10 thing
Hopefully it gets fixed soon 🤞
I paid 250 euros a few months ago for this and I don't regret it. it's pretty good

I just purchased a budget build gaming pc, this is the card inside. Did my research and this is a solid card without crazy prices, plenty of reviews and webpages with benchmarking test. Is it the greatest video card out there, no, but it is a solid performing card for not a lot of money.

Just bought one for €200 including Starfield. Since I wanted to buy that game anyway it’s a perfect deal. I put it in my old gaming pc with an i7 2600/16gb ram as a gaming pc for my 4 year old son so he can play racing games without using my pc😂.. No problems with PCIe 3.0, at least nothing noticeable. Great little card. Runs Forza Horizon 4 at 4k high/60fps vsync.
Have this paired up with a 5600X on my PC... I love this GPU...😌💛
Not having dlss and only 8gb vram handicaps this gpu, rtx 3060 12gb is better, has more upscaling options and more vram, will make ot age better
It’s usually the card a recommend for cheaper builds its close to a 5700xt in performance and it will still play some games at 1440p but i would consider it more of a 1080p card now. Its usually 6600 or xt model with a 5600.
Wow! I expected far worse performance 😮 pleasantly surprised 😊

it is great value, i use it now, works fine for Baldurs Gate 3 and Diablo IV in 1440p. U can buy this new for less money than gtx 1660 super, and it's simply better, that said i would recommend sticking to 1080p with this gpu class, cuz u kinda have to rely on FSR or drop settings if u want to play in native 1440p. The best gpu u can still buy new is rx 6700xt tho.
1080p for newer dementing games but you can go 1440p for older games and a good number of new games.
A good example is that you yourself play Diablo 4 and Baldurs Gate 3 on 1440p.

I bought an rx 6600 with your msi mech2x video last year and it's a very good GPU especially when you undervolt it , it never goes above 70w and most of the time it will be at 50w for me .
What are your undervolt settings? That's incredibly low wattage
@@DPLS77tbh it's not only an undervolt , it's undervolt + 200mhz underclock , But I am losing like maximum 2-3 fps for - 30w so it is aboslutely worth it in my opinion .
Can u make rx6600 but with ryzen 5600 and if u can another vid but ryzen 3400g cpu😅😊
How is the Afox card running so cool with increased power limit even though the heatsink is just an aluminium block?
I bought this card december last year brand new it replaced my old gtx 970 im still so happy with this card
My current card is from powercolor. It runs great with only 100w.
I have a modded VBios version of the Spahhire rx6600 allowing me to get it up to 150 Watts! Its incredible how efficient and performative this card still is.
I enjoy your videos very much 😆
The only thing i hate about the RX 6600 is the hotspot temperature it kills my mood seeing it reaching 70-80c when you use it with 100W, however when you undervolt it it works with 50W and it has the same performance as 100W + the temperature gets down to 65-70 on top if you lock the fps to 60 your average temp is 55-60
Do you think 6600xt is any better ?
@@forevr if you can afford rtx 3060 just buy that if you cant rx6600 is good as the 3060
This is the RX580 8GB well maybe the XT version but you have to drop the setting on some games to medium. £190 new here in the UK I paid £164 for a new RX580 in 2020 but it's taken far too long for this cards price to come down
I don't think you need more VRAM if your playing 1080p and drop textures to medium. Heck in games medium to high doesn't do much change but it depends what you want
The Last of Us Part 1 is still awful to play and you see some screen tearing in your run
I'm sure you wouldn't get these if your using below a 5800X3D?
The 60fps lock is already a good thing on elden ring , i would like to see more 60fps locked with msi afterburner on tests , so we could get a point of direct comparison of power usage with some parity between all the gpu.
It's funny, black friday "sale" for 3060 is still $250, but you can get an open box 6600 that trades blows or beats it for $100 less. The more I see RTX in the build list, the more I'm picturing Bozo the Clown honestly
6600 is probably the best bang for the buck now. About a year ago it was the Geforce 2060 but not anymore.
I bought Sapphire RX6600 and did a hard OC .. do not regret this choice of Card even in 2023 ... best driver in my Opinion AMD 23.11.1 overall.... nice Video Krzzzp 🙂
I just put one in a HP Pavilion TG01 gaming pc and it's kickin' butt. It even handles VR in MSFS 2020 with a Quest 2. I'm more than happy with mine so far. BTW, I'm also using the stock 400w PSU.
I'm just looking at this from an rx6600 and I'm very happy with it
For Elden Ring I would highly recommend to you that you look for the glintstone dragon smarag near the Raya lucaria academy, the amount of effects that dragon throws at you is rediculous
