🏜Had a 92 n 98 Corolla its a Latino thing too. Both great cars. Sold the 98 in 2020 with just over 283k miles. Still would have taken it on trips including Mexico. Very forgiving if maintenance is not done on time. Salute from Texas all the way to Lagos.
I really love the fact that you express yourself naturally, freely like a usual Nigerian, not forming some phonetics. Really love your contents too I don't know if you have any reviews in the Toyota Avensis, cos I heard its a low key good car....
The fuel consumption is just crazily economical. Sometimes in march when fuel was #200 per litre, I bought #5000 and drove from Ibadan to Lagos, tour the whole of Surulere, left for Ibadan the following day and I still had enough fuel to cruise around when I got to Ibadan. Much respect for this ride
1.5k fuel should get you from Ibadan to Lagos. Less fuel is used during highway travel. 2k fuel is enough to coast around from mainland to highland. Judging from my Benz use. When I used the Corolla I could drive from Futa to Oba ile without refuelling I do r need to with the Benz. Just saying. It’s a 3.5l v6 E class.
This video is amazing and with the way you analyze everything is a top notch for me. I once own a Corolla 2003. My God! I so much love this car. I pimp the car to my taste and guess what. This car never disappoints me…. I will still buy it again and again. Big shout out to TOYOTA FOR THIS AMAZING product. Called COROLLA 2002/06
The corolla actually came with 2 engine options as at 2005 to 2006. The 1ZZ-FE 1.8L 4-cylinder engine producing 130hp which we use here in Nigeria and the 2ZZ-GE 1.8L 4-cylinder engine from the Toyota Celica producing 170hp which you will find in the XRS trim of the corolla. I’m yet to see on here in Nigeria
This happens to be the first time I watched your review. I'm a car enthusiast who often engage foreign contents as far as car reviews are concerned because we hardly make quality reviews. I'm impressed but please mind your language as you're doing it for the people in Nigeria and beyond. Keep up the good work!
I own one and have replaced the following: Shocks, control arms, inner and outer tie rods, variable timing gear, timing tensioner seal, crank shaft seal, alternator, blower motor, radiator, spark plugs and motor mounts. Good car but has a lot of wearable parts that would need changing at around 250k to 300k.
Any car at that mileage would need those items. Difference being the powertrain would be worn on other vehicles. Replace those parts once on this car for a couple grand and you're good for another decade.
Mine has about 362k miles. Still going strong. I have had embarrassing moments which is not embarrassing to me but maybe to some. People walk up to me ....were you the ride I ordered for? It's expected. Lol. It's my car afterall. Overall. The ride is not fantastic to drive but it's easy to run. No cap. unfortunately despite the parts being everywhere, it's annoyingly more expensive than a Camry. Just pray that you don't have issues with part like the HUB or engine replacement. But before the engine breaks down. It's a lifetime engine unless it's not well maintained. Lastly. I bought my corolla locally used for N1,180,000 3 years ago. Now people are asking to pay N2,000,000.
Other reasons is that there are tons of aftermarket market parts and modifications. Its one of the most popular cars to modify including turbocharging, Hybrid and/or flex fuel conversions.
Part of the reason the Corollas price keep going up is also the exchange rate. Naira has been rather on the down hill slope. Demand also for reliability ha: only further complemented the price surge.
I have the 05 XRS, just about a week ago the transmission finally blew after 250,000 miles and two years of abuse from me alone, they are amazing and I can’t wait to fix mine up again.
I have dis car in oxblood n never been to the mechanic for any issue…just break pads change n oil change. Very efficient n value increases day by day. Great car. Smooth engine.
Our Corolla was bought new in 2003 and it's still alive and working till today. Repairsssss have been done severally especially when it enters water...it still stands strong
To be sincere i really love this corolla has well but no money to buy it yet, i strongly believe that someday somehow i will buy the car... COROLLA IS JUST TOO AUTHENTIC😊😊😊
Also I believe your friend's experience with the fuel economy of that car. I drove this same type of Corolla once from Badore, Ajah to Gbagada with the fuel light on and nothing happened. But I won't advice anyone to try that as you're risking your fuel pump. Full tank on this car would take you from Lagos to Ibadan and back and you'll be left with about a quarter tank left.
I just got a 2005 Corolla n I must say I love how the replacement parts are well available unlike the Mitsubishi I have that i pray for it not to have issues while driving
Pls, do more research on this generation of Toyota Corolla. Firstly, it is not 2002-2006 but 2003-2008 model(s). Secondly, there are Corollas that come with 2.0 engines called XRS, and not only 1.8L. Pls be guided!
Hi I have watched so many of videos and I can say you are doing a great work for nigeria and Africa. Please I need you to do a review on the Honda crosstour. I will be very much oblige if you do.
Good morning, I'm a big fan Please I need your opinion on the infinity fx35 2009-2013... What is the usability like in Naija...you can do a review video on it too Bro..
Great content man, please can you do a video on trucks, say Tacoma, Tundra, frontier etc and what price one can get them with what to expect maintenance wise. Thanks 🙏
You're right about the price of the Corolla. It is very overpriced and it's due to the heavy demand for it. My dad bought his 2003 Corolla CE Toks in Jan 2015 for 1.4m. 3 years later in Dec 2018, he sold it to someone who made a 1.2m offer on the car. Car was over 100k miles.
Crank! So far...you're just the best! Can you please do a video for a Toyota Auris & Yaris hatchback?🙏 Like price, durability, acceptance etc Thanks boss CRANK! You're simply the best
Crank Can You do Something On the Toyota Highlander 2014 to 2019. Cause the amount of times I’ve seen this cars around lagos is alarming. Like is it so cheap to afford or what
My Corolla I use an travel go calabar from Lagos. Back to Lagos now I can't put on the car ac the car go dey shake dey vibrate what do I do. It's annoying. Is it engine problem ?
This got me lmao (everything is just fucked up in the car but it's still driving) I always love watching your content bro keep it up bro thanks for your enlightenment
Ahhh Hyundai accent they economize like fire....I will put it on par with corolla, only that cost of running will be high because it's not that popular and parts are hard to find.
Pls guys help me my 1999 corolla de bring out black smoke very well and e de chop fuel. Because of this same black smoke I don go change the engine of the car I bought 265k yet black smoke de come out. Biko help me out

667k miles, and I still do road trips in it in Southern California.

Thank you. Not somebody in the comments talking about minding his language. Please let him talk as Nigerian as possible.
There's nothing wrong with phonetics.

Crank, I love your energy and charisma when doing these videos. Keep it up.
You didn't mention the cons of the Corolla, theft especially.
My fear exactly, theft rate of this car is so scary
04 corolla, the car that can't be killed, we've had ours for 8 years and baba still runs fine

Please talk about the Avalon ship
Talk about cheap toyota hybrid cars or other hybrids cars
Corollas are so many but yet at night go outside and could how many corollas are parked outside overnight. Very few cuz of high theft rate

Lexus ES 330 review
Crank do a review on the Honda Accord 08-12 aka Evil Spirit
The only problem with this car is the hub and Shocks absorbers they wear out almost every 6months to 1 year
The car is just good of you are driving within town not for traveling.
True for the shocks part. And it's mostly because people don't buy OEM shocks here in Nigeria because of the price.
The car has done enough to deserve a Nigerian passport now
Awesome video
@234 Drive. Please can you review the Mercedes Benz C203 C class kompressor?

Mr. Crank what's your opinion on 2006 Lexus LS430, 2007 Lexus LS460 and 2007-2009 Toyota Avalon?
The demand is high that’s why the cost price increase
there are corollas with 2.0 litre engines. corolla SRS
Watching this from a Corrola sha
It is also the most commonly vandalized car. They can strip this car off valuable parts in mins. One has to be careful where they park this car.
What is the price of this car right now
My Corolla I use an travel go calabar from Lagos. Back to Lagos now I can't put on the car ac the car go dey shake dey vibrate what do I do. It's annoying. Is it engine problem ?
Maybe it's your engine mounts or what mechanics call engine sitting.
Let your mechanic check the engine seat and gear seat first.
The slow running might needs a little calibration or adjustment for the AC system
This got me lmao (everything is just fucked up in the car but it's still driving) I always love watching your content bro keep it up bro thanks for your enlightenment

Fake engine oil, the engine oil is mixed with last product of diesel which looks like oil and very chap
