Korean shopping karts handle differently than American shopping karts. US ones only pivot on the front two wheels while the rear ones are fixed. On Korean carts all 4 wheels pivot. So it can feel strange to handle but can come in handy in narrow places.

South Korea is incredible! I am in the process of learning korean at the uni, and whether I will use it or not, I have much appreciation for their culture and their history and the culinary side is amazing.....their technology is 👌, here in the west, everything is so crap and backwards....😣.
Zane, Korean is incredibly easy to read. It only takes a maybe a half hour to learn! You keep asking how "Lotte" is pronounced, but if you can read korean then it is very easy! There are many youtube videos that will teach you how to read it in a few minutes.

As a South Korean, I would highly not recommend you to go to Lotteria if you're looking for a hamburger in South Korea. Lotteria is a fast food restaurant that has very poor reviews even among Koreans. Lotteria is famous simply because it's cheap. I never go to Lotteria to eat.

the carts in korea have the wheels that swivel on that back as well as the front, whereas the shopping carts in the US have fixed rear wheels with swiveling wheels only up front, which is a much better design. the carts in korea drove me nuts

Dude... You got the only burger that would taste similar to McDonalds. LOL If you like shrimp and tar tar sauce, definately recommend the shrimp burger. A lot of people get the bulgogi burger (it has sweet teriyaki sauce with mayo, so if your into that maybe give it a try.)

the carts in korea have the wheels that swivel on that back as well as the front, whereas the shopping carts in the US have fixed rear wheels with swiveling wheels only up front, which is a much better design. the carts in korea drove me nuts
