    Incredible video and tips on train tickets/traveling Megan, although you gave good tips about the train tickets and traveling, just hearing about paying them in advance and which seat you have to sit on sounds like alot of hard work and nerve-racking.
    Luckily in Melbourne, Australia, you don't need to buy a ticket or pass in advance and you don't have a seat number to sit on and you can sit anywhere you like. The only bad thing about the trains in Melbourne is sometimes they get cancelled and you have to wait for the next train or the train line you normally travel on would be cancelled and they replace trains with buses instead due to maintenance on the train tracks.

    Hi! I love your videos and they are so helpful! I'm going to Korea in 2 weeks :) Do ktx tickets sell out on weekdays quick? I'm going to be landing at ICN around 6pm on a monday. Also, do you often see travellers lugging their suitcases onto the trains in the subway? Thanks!

    • @MeganOsten
      @MeganOsten  ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually I would say no… but there is a HUGE influx of tourists this year so I can’t say this year will be the same. I think buying tickets in advance would be much safer.
      Most train stations are very large-bag-friendly so you’ll be able to get around easily 😊 I would say usually large suitcases are not AS common since the train is often used for workers, but with what I said above, maybe it will be more common this spring/summer~
      Safe travels 😊❤️🫂

    Hi Megan, thanks so much for all these awesome, informative videos!!! I just subscribed and have been watching all of these playlists.
    About the train ticket booking using Korail or Trazy, is there a way to pre-book tickets directly from Incheon to Seoul Station and Seoul to Daejeon Station which are flexible on the timings?
    For e.g., I will be reaching Incheon airport on Jul 29th. around 11:00 a.m. and want my train ticket somewhere around that time, but is there a way to pre-purchase flexible tickets that will allow me to board the train anytime during the day, rather than at a specific time like 12:00 p.m., just to be safe that I don't miss my train?

    ooh thank you megan!! i was wondering though, when travelling by bus and having basically no knowledge of korean, would that be troublesome? like when there is a rest stop i wouldn't know how long we would stay there. also about luggage, there's designated spots in the train and you can bring as much as you want. can you bring as much luggage as you want on the bus as well? thank you ~

    • @MeganOsten
      @MeganOsten  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions! 👏🏼
      They give you around 10/15 minutes at the rest stop, but they count to make sure everyone came back before they leave! Just come back quickly~
      Luggage goes under the bus (so you also don’t have to pay for luggage this way).
      I think you’d be totally fine as I didn’t know much Korean for a while and never had any issues (I just recommend watching my videos about buses - like this train video - for more information as well~)
      I will say… traffic can be a pain though… getting stuck in it on the bus is the worst. But everything has its ups and downs!
      Hope that helps!

    1. Can the Korail Pass be used for any type of KTX train? I was looking for a Seoul-Danyang direct train and google search showed me a KTX-Eum (?) train..
    2. Does it mean I could go on e.g. Ulsan > Busan (KTX) in the morning + Busan to Daegu (KTX) later that same day? Since it's an unlimited pass?

    • @MeganOsten
      @MeganOsten  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great questions~
      1. The Korail pass works with most trains! If the train is called KTX then I will work. Most times the train has a final destination and maybe that’s not your stop but they might still list it on the ticket.
      2. Yep!! That could all be done on one day. Two regular, seated tickets are included for every day!

    • @MeganOsten
      @MeganOsten  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not a stupid question at all actually! Some countries require this.
      In Korea, it’s not required but you will need to keep some form of ID on yourself (so usually I would my driver’s license and a picture of my passport in my phone as backup). Some places might not accept the driver’s license but it’s rare.
      If you DO plan to keep it in your room, make sure it’s still hidden somewhere in your luggage (ESPECIALLY if you’re in a shared house or hotel with cleaner etc.). I even recommend buying to TSA locks I linked in the description box of this video and locking it in your suitcase to be safe.

    If you redo this video, PLEASE change "cart" to "car". I've been around trains a lot and I have never heard the word "cart" used, it is always "car" (which is short for carriage).
    Please continue with your videos as they are some of the best Korean videos (in English) I've ever seen.

    Why cannot you say 무궁화? As a Korean, I think it's not a sexual word.

    Hi megan, i was hoping you can answer my question as i google search cannot. I see discounted tickets for ktx if you book 4 seat companion set and also a discount as advertised by korail regarding booking ktx + airport limousine at gwangmyeon to incheon. Do you know if foreigners can get this discount or you need a id and phone number for this
