    KTX and other trains provide a service that allows you to get on and off easily with simpler procedures than any other train. Thank you for using Korea’s railway services. With that pride, we are working hard to improve further and strive to provide faster, safer, and more comfortable travel. High-speed railways such as KTX will continue to be developed in the future, and we sincerely thank you for promoting Korea’s railway technology. :)

    Great trip, ah yes you try this train. Locally built Korean High Speed Train. Looks better than predecessor, but I think the Superior Class should be named Standard Premium, since they use same seating configuration with better seating.

      The problem is that their default platform heights are very low. I believe some of their stations are at high floor height, but generally legacy national rail is low as you see. Don't see it being easy configuring a Bo-Bo HS EMU for such a very low floor height

    • @브라우니-n7u
      @브라우니-n7u 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      Well, they’re changing those platforms gradually into higher ones. But some of the trains don’t fit the higher platforms. So their first plan is to change all the old trains into the ones that fits both low and high platforms. And then, they’re gonna highen the platforms, and then the wheelchairs would be much easier to get on and off.

    One thing I particularly remember was the huge queues for the escalators on arrival. Certainly wasn't too hot in Busan when I was there in March. 12C during the day dropping down to 5C at night - very pleasant. New train looks good! I was on the old French TGV style KTX. Have been on the KTX -EUM to Yangpeong. Got to admit that tunnel out of Busan was amazingly long - only pity was that it started almost immediately on leaving Busan Station! Amazingly, those high rises in Gyeong-Ju (9:19) weren't there at all in July 22 - it was open countryside! Great vlog - many thanks! 🇰🇷🚄😊

    Thanks for the detailed review! I see these trains have some cool features like automated reclyning, toilet ocupation indicators and wireless chargers. Also it is impressive how fast the wifi speed is! Too shocking that the seat screen don't seem to have any internet conexion at all.
    Would you say in average it gets close to accelerate as fast as a Japanese Shinkansen? I saw a video comparison of both trains departing from a station and this KTX was way slower, but I guess it depends on which station it is recorded.

    are these trains narrower than a shinkansen - the regular shinkansen is 2+2 in green class and 2+3 in standard class but these trains have 2+2 in all coaches - like a mini shinkansen. Is that because South Korea originally bought TGV trains when they started their high speed network.

    • @yeung2929
      @yeung2929 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Regular Shinkansens (N700S, E5 etc.) have widths of around 3.35-3.38m, while mini Shinkansens (E6 etc. ) are 2.95m wide.
      This KTX-Cheongryong has a width of 3.15m, which is more or less the same as their slower ITX trains of widths of 3.12-3.18m.
      And the original KTX-I is 2.9m wide and KTX-Sancheon is 2.97m wide, this is why this new train has a more spacious 2+2 than the predecessors.
