Exciting to see Acura putting out sedans that are actually worth buying again.
Finally a reviewer who judges the car on its own merit, this car is actually quite special and this coming from a GTR owner.
But when compared to others, as Throttle House has, it falls apart.

An amazing car. Wish they did touch screen over the touch pad. I also imagine the back seat space wasn’t a big deal since most owners of this will probably have a SUV in their household.

Feel like Acura finally has its groove back. This reminds me of an improved original TL. Also, saw my first new NSX on the road today, which looks much better in person. Cafe Ladro > Starbucks
Coming from an Accord CL7, and my current Lexus IS300, I sure do love Japanese, and if my country imported this one, I'd get it in a heartbeat. Great review, great car!

Truly love these cars. The active exhaust is amazing, love how there’s buttons for climate control and not a touch screen. Also enjoy the touch pad, keeps everything clean. These are also a pleasure to drive, a totally different experience than the regular A-spec TLX. All the sounds and buttons are also incredibly satisfying.

I love your show, but I have to watch out because i've bought two cars just from your reviews that have solidified my two choices in the past, the 2015 STI and a 2020 Audi Q5. You sold my brother and sis in law a Toyota 4runner. I've been waiting around for this car as well and your vid and review definitely peaked my interest in the TLX-S even more haha. Quit making me buy cars
Minimize the sensor plaque and give it more v-like taillights like the new MDX and it would look perfect.
Good review. However he didn't appear to look so cramped in the back seat.
For the "stop and go" at least on the accord it auto holds the brakes when you come to a complete stop for so long, "BUT"!! You’re able to hit a button and it starts going again on its own. Miss my accord, have a pilot now.
Pretty sure it's doing the exact same thing here. My Mazda also behaves the same.
Can you do an AWD test on the 2021 Infiniti Q50?

There are USB ports just not in the back seat area.
The rear looks like our old VF Commodore.
I’m sure there’s hella you can do after market wise when it comes to these
15:00 - Adaptive cruise with what they call Low Speed Follow - it’s behaving exactly like my ‘17 Civic, which I think is great. I use it all the time on my commute. I think it helps me keep an eye on the other traffic around me, too, because I don’t have to keep counting my two-second gap all the time.

I have a infinity Q60 and i swear the rear of the TLX is unbelievably similar to it lol
The car will start up in the drive mode you have it setup in your driver preferences you can make it start up in any mode you want you just have to tell it what you want .
What colour is chill?
In my view, physical buttons are proper buttons, much safer than virtual buttons accessed via touching, much more luxurious. That is what a proper interior should be---physical buttons and proper touchpad instead of touch screen everywhere.
Funny my A-Spec has that exact "wing" in the back. I'd never call that a wing, it's a spoiler...

We had to call Acura to properly set up Launch Control. They may not have bothered.

Also a good, and cheaper, alternative would be the sister to the G70, the Kia Stinger.
Not only that! It’s roomer and more practical! the sportback design is a great car for everything is an amazing GT car
The Stinger is being discontinued in 2022.

Nope, other than the ILX, all current and new Acura’s are on their stand-alone Acura platform. Before bashing a brand please inform yourself.

Buick is one of the best brands for the money even today.

I drove this car on Friday and was not impressed. I currently have a m340i and my wife has a Alfa Romeo Giulia sport. For the price, this is about the same level as my wife’s Giulia, except her car was $10k cheaper. The dealership where I test drove the car was asked $67k for it. The bmw was actually cheaper and it’s better in every way. I really wanted to like the type S, but it was just not that great and, the performance was underwhelming compared to its competition. I would much rather buy the Genesis G 70, it’s a lot cheaper and the interior is way better.
Was holding off on getting the m340i until type s came out to compare. Bit yes the m340i seems like the obvious choice. How much dod you get yours??

I like the car overall but 1 thing that put me off a bit was the noise, it for some reason sounds artificial. Is it only me who feels like that?

The card looks great but that color is not my taste.
It’s a love it/hate it color.
This might be the best front biased AWD system, but the system in the M340i and G70 is way better with actual limited slip diffs in the back. Both of those cars are also able to send more power to the back making the much better driver cars.

This car would have been better to most than the g70 if it was 300lbs lighter, had 12 more hp and had a optional touchscreen. U love this car though it’s just a step in the right direction, certainly not where it should be yet tho lmao

The TLX S type is missing key options for a $54k vehicle. A deal breaker for me. Just buy the G70

Yes, he should make a show down with BMW Audi and Hyundai off road challenge of the sport sedans.
The Genesis G70 is better inside, makes more power, is lighter (by about 300+ lbs), faster, corners better (because RWD based AWD and, again, lighter) and can be had for less money.
It would be really ill advised not drive one before running out to an Acura dealer to look at this.

@@ThirdBrainLives It has a fantastic warranty. Acura transmissions had TONS of issues up until like 2 years ago and they've never made a 3.0T. Doesn't make sense to fanboy off of something that's never been released and proven

This car is really made for driver and front passenger. Acura thought of everything upfront but forget everything in the rear for a luxury sports car. No ventilation seats, USB -C ports, no AC/Heat controls, privacy screens, and no space. Sad for a 50K car.

Y would u pay 55 for this. I owned 3 Acura’s just think it’s overpriced by 10 grand. Boring performance.
Ct4v black wing easily trickles up in price with a few options, reliability isn’t as good and resell isn’t as good either. This car is just one of those cars where you can get in and drive and not worry about anything.
This car doesn’t compete with the CT4, it competes with the CT5-V which is more expensive than this when similarly equipped
0-60 4.76? Literally all of the competition does a better job at acceleration / quarter mile. As an Acura owner a I wanted this to be a better performance bargain but it's a disappointment.
If you drive an Acura, you drive a Honda. Acura is Honda.
