I just love how Glover portrays a god who is at the height of it's power, he is calm and cool despite being all powerful. This is a god who knows all the people of Earth and the connection that binds us all. It's unsettling.

From a reply I made in someone else's comment: What made the first season work was that it had a surreal dreamlike atmosphere that showed and made one feel the type of world Shadow was getting himself into. And the gods actually felt like gods even when they were in rock bottom like Czernobog. You could feel the gravitas, the years, wisdom and power they had in the way they talked and presented themselves. But in season two and onwards the atmosphere was taken out; it felt like watching someone else's attempt at a young adult fantasy series with the "young" half taken out. And worst off, with the exception of one scene with the old gods and one with Mr. World, the gods no longer felt like gods. They felt like old magicians/magical con-artists trying to get back their ability to use magic in a world were magic was running out.
This, this is why I couldn't finish the series.the instant Czernobog made that vengeance speech after his sister died, it killed my interest in the show.

He is incredibly underrated. The man is amazing and needs to star in bigger pictures more often, though I'm glad he works in smaller roles as well. He takes the time and effort to devote himself to his characters, and it really succeeds.
I heard someone say that Mr. World wasn't scary to them but I can't relate. This guy has the smile of a creep, killer, and many bad people all packed into one person.
His is the face of control. "I've already won. You invented the game, and I've reinvented it twenty times since this morning. I am the only player, the rest of you are pawns. You know it, and I know it, but I'm going to act like you're special. And you know I'm just acting. But you had best play along, before I decide you're a pawn and not a bishop, after all."

The only way I can describe this scene is to say that I felt Mr. World presence without him demonstrating the full breadth of his power. Beautifully crafted scene
It's great. Not too flashy, considering other words with cgi in them at the time, but that works in it's favor. It's not just the demonstration of what they are, but how they act, too, that shows their status.
