I m 70 years old and witnessed 4 cranes crashing down just on jobs I worked on . They are unbelievably unpredictable I don’t care who’s operating them .
The crane at 04:00 -- the crane operator was at fault. I used to have an operator's licence for a TR-80 crane, which could lift 4.5 metric tons close to the mast (approx. halfway out the jib), but only 2.5 tons at the end of the jib.

Cranes are not fragile but do have limits which are pretty much told in the instructions some operators dont read because they know what they are doing until they die or kill someone else.
