Southeast Asia is always been connected and influenced by East Asia and Sout Asia since before borders exist. We have to work it out peacefully.
Do not read too much into western narrative or even coming from india geopolitic news. It all started with a US led push on friendly countries to claim territory in the south seas. Thus, China steps in with a 9 dash line to push back and places ambiguity to all claims. This divide and conquer of US imperialism has been their signature move to inflict divide and conflicts among countries. Look deeper beyond these narratives and South China Seas have never enjoyed better trade routes navigation than ever before. Peace is the keyword.

Things are not as bad as the video described. Jokowi and Xi are personal friends, and Xi can even sing an old Indonesian song called "Bengawan Solo."
What happened was some Wolf Warrior Chinese diplomat sent a letter to Indonesia to stop gas exploration in Natuna. However, that diplomat was later relocated to another country after Indonesia embarrassed China by making it public and continuing the drilling anyway. Later, Xi personally invited Jokowi to Beijing to strengthen the relationship, making him the first leader to meet him after COVID-19.
Indonesia doesn't sweat small stuffs, China is still Indonesia's biggest trading partner and #2 investor (Singapore #1 and Hong Kong #3).

The AUKUS issue is much bigger than south china sea issue in indonesia for sure.. indonesia have longstanding issue with australia regarding australia's involvement for papua rebel movements, or any free movements in eastern indonesia.. australia try hard to be the sherif from down under, but their isolated area gives an advantage to indonesia
The situation between Australia and Indonesia is very tenuous and always has been. Just recently Indonesia as several other Asian countries did, accused Australia of undermining security in the area by joining Aukus.
