Planting White in the Garden

I talk a lot about planting white in your garden so that your garden glows at night. I am not sure I have ever showed you what my garden looks like at night so I recorded this video and hope that you can see why I love to have white in it.

Thank you for sharing! My tiny garden is mostly shaded by a mature pine tree centered to the space as well as a large oak tree right outside our property so it can feel shrouded and dark. This is why we planted white hydrangeas and in the fall we mostly plant white and yellow tulips, creating a pop of color during the spring. As well as an illuminating effect during the evening. I do love the white during daytime, too.

Bonjour Heïdi! You are lucky because your sunpatiens are not attack by the japenese Beetles like mine!!! 😾 also my hibiscus 🌺, Fern🌿, prunus cistena, etc…. From Montréal, Québec zone 5! Love the White!

Hello! The Japanese beetles don't touch my Sunpatiens, but they do like the hibiscus.

Supatiens get to 2 feet. I love the height you have there. Are they new plants?

The are the compact Sunpatiens, there are also vigorous ones, we do not grow those, they get too big. lol These were planted in mid May

White flowers are beautiful at dusk & night but I can’t stand how they look in daytime with dying blooms. I find they always look dirty.

That is true of some white flowers but not all. Sunpatien blooms really do not turn brown.
