Very nice and informative video, Mel. Thanks for the info on hydrangeas and the view of your garden, looking good! I subscribed to your channel and can’t wait to see another gardening video. I live in northern Alabama which is zone 8a and need to put my hydrangea in the ground, too. Thanks again.
I NEED A Limelight lol, I've wanted one all year but it looks like maybe next Spring for me , they are so beautiful. They get to 8 or 9 feet right? How far from the fence did you plant?
And yes, they can go up to 8 feet. I planted it maybe 3 feet from my fence because I’m going to use that one (I have 10 others) for floral arrangements. ☺️
Now I’ve never seen the foot method only them pushing down with their hands idk why I would be scared to tear it & definitely will be putting mines in the ground for the fall now my only thing is when the snow come in I guess just cut them back down but I think depending on the kind they said u can leave the leaves
Hello! 😊 You can absolutely use your foot to gently firm in the soil around your plant. Limelight’s are panicle hydrangeas which means you can cut the back winter/spring before their next bloom cycle. I hope that helps!🌸🌸🤗
yes, I’m 68 yrs old & have always used my foot, like my mother before me😊 I am envious of your soil. I live in Clay County MO and have total clay soil….
Lovely!
Thank you!😊 🩷
Your hydrangeas are really beautiful! I bought a standard limelight that I’m going to plant next to my new outdoor patio!
Thank you!😊 The patio is a great area to put your hydrangea. It provides beauty and can provide privacy coverage. I hope you enjoy your new plant. 🩷
Awesome healthy plants. 👍💚
Thank you!😊 They are one of my fav!
Beautiful 👍🏽🌺🌸

Yes!! You need it, they are by far the best. No trouble with pest and bloom reliably each year!💕
