    You have no idea how informative your videos are, great work Saqib. +1 like... This is a concept most modelers don't understand so they focus on new files, new files, instead of iterating to get good visuals using modularity. Keep at these tuts, great stuff.

    why not use collection instancing for the several pillars under the domes? 2:30

    • @SaqibHussain88
      @SaqibHussain88  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I did not use collection instance I have used alt + d for duplication but this kind of duplication is just to make them instance of the original source mesh so if you want to add any thing in edit mode it will automatically update all of them so you just need to work on a single model. Collection instance has its own importance but I did not use that here.

    Would you need to delete unseen faces if you wanted to put this into a game? Also is there a way to link the model to its origin file so edits from the original file would transfer to the new file automatically?
    As always this video was a awesome Inspiration!

    • @SaqibHussain88
      @SaqibHussain88  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No need to do that . Actually game's these days can easily lift such kind of polycount . You just need to work on a single mesh try to create them in such a way that you can use them on a different place with a different model . That's the whole point of making it modular . So dont worry just make sure that you optimize the mesh before exporting it to a gaming engine.

    Can you help me how to import assets into blender? I downloaded .blend with trees, I click file>append and choose tree, but there is only model without materials and particles. Also, if I click file>append and choose material, it is too does not work correctly. I want to import model with material at once

    • @SaqibHussain88
      @SaqibHussain88  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First open the downloaded file and convert the particles into mesh some time it need's to be done .
      Second make sure that the downloaded has provided the texture if yes then relocate and reassign those texture inside material editor.Then save the file . After all of that open new project then use append command . By the way can you share the model from where did you download the mesh . It will be great if you can do that so that I may know what problem you are facing .

    • @sdhhdsakrtopw8271
      @sdhhdsakrtopw8271 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SaqibHussain88, thank you for answer. I downloaded asset from here
      3dlancer.net/en/freemodels/trees/3dmodel-tree-47060
      I did what you said (it seems the leaves were already like a mesh), everything seems to work on these trees. But it turns out I can’t change the parameters of the particles, such as random, reversal and so on?
      UPDATED:
      I see, that if I use "File > Append > Collection" instead of "File > Append > Object", this works correctly.
