@LorenzoBelliardo Hi. In my opinion it's a really good choice. It's a very well-designed bike, with the centre of gravity in exactly the right place to give you a very enjoyable riding experience. Its handling is really precise and reassuring. The design is very refined, with its stressed member frame and very good shocks. Very maneuvrable and easy to flick around in low-speed traffic, while at the same time really good fun when out there on winding roads. Even though it's a twin, its very smooth through its rev range. The engines on these bikes are very reliable and good for high mileage.
Anyone who owns a Honda 500 needs to try it with the little intake snorkel attached to the airbox removed. It only takes a few minutes to do and is reversible, but it gives a lot more deep intake induction sound under wide open throttle (no change under light load/idle). Best free mod you can do to these bikes. I might do a video on it sometime.
To quote a modern poet and thinker, Tuco Salamanca: "Tight, tight, tight! Yeah! Oh, blue, yellow, pink. Whatever, man. Just keep bringing me that" xD As always a pleasure and I could watch you drive every sigle road on the canary islands. Thank you for letting us ride with you!
Ah this sound brings back memories! I did my A2 license on a CB500. Only at the last 2 lessons I discovered there is plenty of rev-range above 6k... Having ridden only a 640 single before, so I really liked this surprising torque above
Reminds me of the some of the roads in Portugal. I toured the country on a CB500X last spring. Incredibly little engines those Honda twins. Nice video!
Hello from Gran Canaria!!! I'm so glad you enjoy my island for this fantastic experiences. I'm really want to get a license and a bike, but I'm a bit sad about my family's reaction towards it. There's so worried, but i just enjoy this too much and wanna experience it myself
I think he’s said it’s in storage and needs some work, and he doesn’t have the time/money to get it going again. Hopefully one day though! I go back and watch those old cb500 videos whenever I want to see some riding at the limit.
thanks Vicenev, that's indeed the case. She's parked safely in a garage but indeed my current priorities in life and "video making" don't give me enough time and money to get her going again. So, like every year I say "maybe next year" ;) Same for the VFR
That's the bike I learned to ride on! Haha, the throttle response was quite on/off on the one I was riding, but otherwise a good bike. Also, kinda of overpriced, so I went for an sv650 for the money
schaaf !! one question , i see that you tell ''4K / 30 fps / SuperView / ProTune standard settings with ISO locked to 100'' What about shutterspeed ???????
Hello. Are you going to make a video for Triumph Speed 400 or Scrambler 400X or the new Himalayan? P.S. You are a really good rider, really like your videos. Bought my first bike, the Classic 350 after watching you ride that bike. 😊
How do you like this model vs the 300R? Im torn between the two. I love the look of the 300R. Im note quite ready for the 650 version. But i really like what the 500F has to offer. Any advice from someone who has ridden both?
I’m in the US and where I’m at you need to test through a school to get a permit to ride on the streets first. The school had the CB300R and it was pretty jumpy in first but still a fun little bike. I got my permit and bought a CB500F last week and I love it. I probably have better clutch control now that I have more experience, but I feel like it’s easier for me to get going without stalling out on the 500. You can have your hand off the throttle entirely and the bike will roll slowly if you let off the clutch, so I feel like as a beginner it’s easier for me to focus on my clutch hand rather than having to think about clutch and throttle
The weather is so shite now in 🇬🇧 and I’m about to get laid off with garden leave in December. I may just have to get out there. Any recommendations on where to stay ??? 😎
I prefer staying in Las Palmas because I love the big amount of different restaurants plus the amazing city beach. And it's where you can find Canary Ride!
Nice engine sound. Second to the Royal Enfield, but I heard more than a few grinding gear changes. Does that mean those Royal Enfield are smoother shifters?
Hey Schaaf It's been a year since I started out on that same bike and I notice you are a god at clutchless shifting! What is the secret?? I find that in this particular bike going from second to third gear is really jerky, which puts me off from doing it since I don't want to hurt the motorcycle.
5 min in and no car at all..what a paradise
it absolutely is!
I had one, briefly. It's superbly balanced and corners like a knife. Believe in it.

That’s what I did with my 2021 CB500F!
At the same time I replaced the stock air filter with a K&N high flow filter
thanks for the advice!
Please do!

the lower section looks like it was created in a video game and the upper section looks like a track that I've raced in a video game, that's wild.
Most of the Gran Canarian roads are too good to be true actually
What kind of exhaust you're using here? Sounds incredible!
Love this sound
The other cb500f link’s missing in the description :)
Thanks a lot! Added it now!
Yo Schaaf, where do you place your external sound recorder?
Amazing vid as always! You ever get your hands on a Honda Fury? Thinking about one for a 2nd bike to my 22 MT-10
Unfortunately not since they don't sell these in Europe

what bike does the other rider have , a 300r or some like that ? and loved the video
The 'pendulum' riding style.
cool nice to see you back on a cb500.
how different is it from the old cb500 pc32 twin.
A lot
Does anyone know the name of hand guards that are installed to the cb500f from the video?
Cool!

cómo siempre excelente video :D. Puedo preguntar si recomendas la CB 500 F o la BMW F 800 R? He probado ambas y no me defino :P
The one you feel more confident with ;)
Change front Sprocket to 16t will change the entire character of the bike 🥳
nice
How so? I’m considering it because first gear is useless man😭
