I cannot tell the difference between this exhaust noise and the "original" (I mean new, but before facelift" Africa Twin. They both sound phenomenal to me, amazing tone at part load, low load, overrun, engine break and of course on high load. Just no idea to change it, sounds perfect. Great ride, as usual.

If she was there in 2016 on your MTS 1200 Enduro ride she must really be confident in your skills and judgement. Totally enjoyed that RAW upload. I will give a comment there also. I got there because we ( my wife and I) bought a 2013 MTS 1200 S a couple of weeks ago. Looking for footage on TH-cam I found Schaaf ( very Dutch by the way😀) Like your uploads very much. Just ride watch and listen. That's all we can experience on TH-cam. Sadly we don't get the feel for a bike on this medium but your RAW uploads helps alot.

I'm thinking about buying a second motorcycle for longer trips to the alps etc. and I'm wondering which would be better for this purpose - Africa Twin 1100 or BMW S1000XR? 🤔 I mean how often do you leave the asphalt road during such a trip in practice? Maybe someone had similar problem Thanks!😉
You can easily do Gravel roads with any bike basically. It just depends whether you want a super sports like explosion at the top of the rev range or a strong bottom. Both machines have great suspension and offer excellent comfort.
I have for many years an fjr1300 with many tours in Europe and sell it with 200.000klm with out any problem.Now I want to jump to the big adv category and I am between gs adv1250 and africa 2024 dct with 19front wheel.My main tours will be on road with two up and some easy off road.In your opinion which is the best bike to buy?I like both, I think bmw will suit better but I like the dct and the non problematic honda.I am 1,93cm

Africa Twin is a spectacular bike, it has a great sound, a beautiful model, it could take you anywhere and it also weight a lot less than R1250GS, even the DCT type one, but I want to ask your honest opinion on this bike, between the Manual and DCT, which one do you think is better? There is no better. If you're too lazy too shift, take DCT. It works very well. Just like the manual one. Only the optional Quickshifter (not on this bike but I have videos with one) is a bit too slow unfortunately
I often ride to work at 6.00 in the morning. My neighbours are my friends. Actually the sound is not exactly "friendly" for that. A travel enduro should at least have the option for a less noisy exhaust. @Schaaf: This road would be perfect for a comparison with the 2024 AT with 19"-front wheel! ;) I would love to know your opinion on the new AT as soon as you get a hand on one.
Just picked up a 2023 KTM 1290 SAS two months ago and starting to regret it. I spent some good money on an exhaust and still can’t get a decent noise. Wondering if I should have gotten the africa twin. The SAS is just not satisfying to cruise on, I have to be at least 85mph plus. Thanks for the vid.
I have a africa twin from 2016 but if you want curves then go for one of the bmw's. The 21 inch front wheel is fun for offroad and can do corners wel but I think a 19 can do it better.
It's hilarious though because for 90 percent of the video I'm riding a super slow scenery watching pace. Dude watched 20 seconds and obviously thought he has seen it all

SAS is hardly about cruise, and owner is very lucky if stays out of mechanics shop
